Thanks for the videos, helping coach my daughters middle school team this year, her and 3 other girls can hit but trying to teach the rest in a week, wheww. Our brand new lefty hit a infield homerun linedrive to fence, so it's working on some. My daughter is a really good hitter but bombed out yesterday, ughh such a frustrating sport too. I'm using lots of yr videos for technique help, especially coiling for the more advanced, thank you!

2:36 Like right after your in a lag positon Thats the angle my bat gets into when i swing and i cant figure out why It doesn't get into a nice flat position like the pros have until Later on after the barrel is already through the zone Dont know if its a knob bat path issue or somethin Ive looked at my recordings and its like i bring my hands inside early and don't let it unfold out on line with my foot
Matt, do you have any videos for the follow through? My daughter swing looks good until contact. She is right handed, her left elbow flies up to the sky and above her shoulder at contact and never extends.During the same sequence her head and right shoulder go forward over the plate. I almost think she is overreacting to trying to keep her weight back.
It's funny. This is something I developed naturally as a kid just watching a ton of ball on TV and mimicking the players timing. But to try to explain it to my 16 year old daughter & get her to understand what it's doing for her timing...she thinks I'm an idiot. She's so bad at just putting her front leg out and landing on it and losing all her athleticism to that front foot. Wont watch videos like this and wants to learn from a hitting coach but all they ever talk to her about is fast hands hast hands fast hands. Meanwhile...that front leg is anchored

You proably need to tilt with hands and shoulders and that occurs early
