That almost sounds like the setup in Salem, OH, though instead of a Thunderbolt 1000 it'd be a 2001 roundback. Only the FS 508 is active out of that bunch, it ended up replacing the two 612s and the 2001 since they're all dead apparently lol. Are all the sirens in your city still active?
@@jonboyok Might have somebody help me this weekend get it hooked up. I'm not an electrician so I don't know much about it. But it is single phase which is really good. Three phases is a pain.I have an old model five. That's three phase always wanted to see if it worked but never had the power source.
Neat siren. I have another one of their products called the SS3/Defender. It's a 48V system, and i haven't yet connected it up to a transformer-rectifier and tested it. But it was working when removed. I repainted and replaced most of the fasteners. I messed up the pain on the projector horn so I have yet to redo it, but it's in good condition.
Very cool! That's a pretty unique siren you have there, I think I recall seeing photos of it posted on the siren board. I've seen several Sentry sirens here in OK but never one like that.
My fire station(Lawrenceville VFD, Chester WV) has one on the roof- when the weather is right, I hear it clearer than the closer station's Federal 2001. That's even about the same length of run time for each blast on ours. It blows for three minutes with the same brake at the end of the cycle.
I had just gotten it when this video was recorded and the horns had been taken off for transport and plus I need to get new screws to replace rusted ones.
Gotta love that fast wind down
Why do they do that? Is it a capacitor on the motor or something?
@@awesomegaming8617it has a brake
@@awesomegaming8617 You're right, there is a centrifugal switch that uses some of the rotor's energy to recharge the cap
Nice sounding! I expected it to wind up slower on that amount of voltage, but still a great sounding siren.
There are 4 sirens in my city. Two EOWS 612s, an FS 508, and an original thunderbolt 1000 siren.

I just picked one up the other day. For a really good price with a control box same exact model. Very nice siren
Awesome!, these are nice sirens, pretty loud for their size! Are you going to upload a video of yours?

@@benwhitcraft6350 you can get a single phase converter for a generator

@@jonboyok Mine came from Tuttle, OK, haha.
@@DL1011 Nice, I've been there a few times but I don't recall seeing an SS3. I saw what I think was a Sentry 5v in Cushing, OK earlier today.
@@DL1011 did you know that you have the ORIGINAL defender?
As in the first one ever made.
My Country Canada has a sentry 10v and 20v2t

Nice bolt in the background too!
Thanks! restoration project for one of these days, lol.
Sentry sirens are my favourite sirens due to their brakes as they wind down
I’m not sure if they have brakes, if might be the motor capacitor just like the ACA Screamers
Very nice siren! Sounds very nice!
3v8h!! Sounds great!
Nice! Sounds very healthy
It sounds cool and nice! And I will make a YT soon in 1 week!
Awesome!
@@jonboyok watch my video now it’s a Sentry 5V and a Sentry 10V!
The sound of this Sentry siren is the same of the brgy Curfew siren
The Thunderbolt 1000t is my favorite siren, too bad my city only has one now
Oh
@@FoxGamerKaai0 it sucks, Rolla is turning into a FS-2001 siren city
This is not a video about a 1000T. Your comment is unrelated.
@@paulgoodman19481 who cares lol
Is it so wrong to talk about sirens even if it's not featured on this video? Let me comment what I want.
@@thebiglt2187 Don't give me that attitude. All of this is on you for getting mad.
The wind-down…
*…is that a screamer S7.5 reference?*
Not really a reference, its just a wind-down.
nice, ... we have one in the town next to me, ... exact same tone
Make more strobe lights videos
Bsp in tower strobes
in magee ms there are 4 sirens 2 2001-srn's & 2 2001-srnb's
Sentry 20v2t-58h 10/16 port version and 15v2t 12/16 ports which took out the chopper and rotor that came from SoundMaster sirens
I see a 3m in the back chilling
Also, why are some of the horns taken off?
I had just gotten it when this video was recorded and the horns had been taken off for transport and plus I need to get new screws to replace rusted ones.
Oh nice, and one last thing. You should mount it on the roof. If it doesn't have a controller, you can buy one off the Sentry website.
What Are These Horns For In The Background
I had just gotten the siren when this video was recorded and the horns had been taken off for transport.
Nice.
10V1T THATS MY FAVORITE😮
Where did you get that siren!?!?
I got it in a trade from a friend who I think got it from a surplus auction.
Oh
I like the sound, and I wish I can have it for like a year, but I’m in Canada so I saw a federal signal model 5 from the fire building.
You got this from WSS?
No I got it from a friend and I am unsure where he got it originally.
isnt it illegal to run a siren without permission or people, or did you get permission by the goverment?
I live on acreage in the country with not many people around me so I can pretty much do what I want, I don't need permission.
@@jonboyokahhh, okay
you can just own one of these?!
Sure can if you have the money to buy one.
