Hello, Thanks! Can you click command shift S in Tip 3 when you are in motion and save it as a new vertical title preset instead of having to do that every time? Tip #4 was FIRE!! Thank you, I was always dragging a PNG over my material and bling and disabling it!!! Sweet Thanks
So if you do tip 3, it’s going to save it as both vertical and horizontal. So depending on whatever project you’re making, it will automatically adjust! You won’t need to do those steps every single time. That’s the beauty of it!
At 02:42 you drag the item so that it is centered. Is there a shortcut for Motion and FCP to have an item perfectly centered horizontally and/or vertically like you have in Affinity Photo for example?
Yes! They both have it. Though it's far from as robust as Affinity Photos. In FCP, when you add a title, you can drag it around and some guidelines should pop up to allow you to center it. I'm not sure if theres a way to enable it or disable it. I couldn't find that option when I was looking through. In Motion it's pretty much the same thing! Though it can be disabled by going up to view on the right side, and selecting dynamic guides. So just make sure that it is enabled. The great thing about Motion, is that it works with shapes, text and pretty much everything else. Again, not as robust as Affinity Photos, but still great to have!
