You’re right, you can only be either on the DP or the HDMI port when connecting from Mac. I don’t have a windows to test this but the evo laptops can leverage those ports to connect up to four monitors up to 60hz refresh rates. plugable.com/blogs/news/the-best-docking-stations-for-evo-laptops
Same with my Lenovo TB-3 / USB-C dock. Plugable does apparently have a true quad display dock but it isn't this one, and it barely has any other ports.
CalDigit TS4 and Plugable are the top two I recommend. I use both: the Plugable 16in1 TB4 dock for work, and the CalDigit TS4 for my editing studio. Choosing between the two can be difficult, as each offers unique advantages. For example, the Plugable 16in1 TB4 dock is an excellent choice for connecting up to four display devices and has 2x HDMI and 2xDP. Conversely, the TS4 can support up to three display devices, with the added benefit of six Thunderbolt 4 ports (2x downstream ports support Display Port, 1x upstream port, 2x high-speed data ports, and 1x high-speed data + 20W power delivery port). Choosing one over the other won't lead you astray; it all depends on your specific needs, particularly the requirement for 3x vs 4x display devices, and your preference for HDMI or TB4 ports. This versatility may be why I've chosen to keep both for myself!
Thanks for watching the video, and I hope it helped you see the pros/cons of the product before you decide to buy it. Coming to your question - It should work regardless of the type of GPU your laptop has, as the new Plugable tb4 dock can add up to 4 high-end 4k monitors to windows laptops and up to 2 4k monitors to mac laptops. As the 3050 GPU does not have quality-rich graphics, some suggest lowering the graphic settings to lower frame rates to achieve acceptable frame rates.
Can you please explain how to use the usb-c in the back? and also the 4 usb slots if possible thanks!
Thank you for the vide. Was there any driver software that you had to download it for it to work, or did it work straight out of the box?
Works right out of the box. No driver installation needed.
@@eyumay thank you, much appreciated!
I think that those ports grouped together as Display 1 and Display 2 can only support only a single output per grouping.

Thanks for the video.
Should it work regardless of which gpu my laptop has? or a 3050 would be sufficient?
