When I first tried it, I felt that this game had an incredible respect for the history of the sport. It felt tailored to the enthusiasm of a young me discovering rally for the first time.
played art of rally for over a month. this game isn't just a casual "have a special place in my heart". this is a fully fleshed retrospective of rally through the eyes of an enthusiast, told with controllers and my burning pc, and there will hardly ever be a game to even topple this masterpiece. and i can't forget. the narration is deeply enthusiastic, the editing got me a few shot, and i especially loved the Subaru Impreza WRC part, quite got me teared up a bit.
Awesome video. Art of Rally has really got under my skin. It just ticks so many boxes for me as a retro rally fan and more or less exclusively a driving gamer. I will be watching this video a few times! Wonderful
I've finished the game few months ago, but thanks to your movie i'm coming back 😄 Also, really nice touch in the end, talking about McRae and Burns. Amazing work 👏
Ken Block just posted a video of him going into Audis Vault of Rally cars & driving some of them...deff a video everyone should check out if interested in this!
A labour of love game. Sure I had already played the game before watching the video, which makes me more joyful that the game got some recognition for their unique approach to the sport.
The A310 is forgotten by gearheads but i think in some sectors of pop culture it's just not known outside its aesthetics. What i mean is not many gearheads care, but a whole generation of people who watched Neon Genesis Evangelion know it as Misato's car, which yes "anime, weeb, gah!!!", but it's one of the better well known/respected series, and if not playing a major roll as a car besides getting crumpled up repeatedly it at least allegorically had rather large meaning, plus just looks cool so is widely remembered if not for any reasons related to rally there. Although it IS heavily implied by set design said character, Misato, who was a massive gear head would of known, and clearly some of the creative (Anno etc) probably did.
@@TraxionGGThank you, the creator of this game is wonderful and I hope their next game is a Touring one even though that would probably need AI Opponents. The game was made by the same creator as Absolute Drift.
Well, the duo McRae-Impreza wrc did not win the title not only because of reliability... but also because of how good was McRae in destroying title chances for not having a brain in his skull.
art of rally has rekindled my passion for the sport. This video is a wonderful tribute to an incredible game, great work.

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Same. Was a huge rally fan as a kid. As soon as I fired up this game I was right back where I started....

Said with true passion!
"burning PC" as this game is running badly even on console
Thank you for the information!
I need to play more of this game. Bought it on Steam and it just sits there with the rest of my games.
It's a great game if you want to put your feet up and relax with an arcade racer!

That Colin mcrae tribute at the end damn the vídeo is incredible and i want more of that 🤩
The story for both Colin and Richard is so sad, I was actually getting emotional just putting the photos together😢

Holly cow! I did not know Sobiesław Zasada was rally driver! Did u know now he is one of the biggest Mercedes dealers in Poland?
My jaw dropped

Love this, thanks for the insight!
Honestly games like this and Dirt Rally 2.0 remind me that not every game has to be about making first.
Well said!

You forgot the logging truck
Why does nobody talk about the last RWD car to win the drivers worldtitle?
Another under appreciated car in my opinion! Gorgeous as well much like many of its rivals at the time.
@@TraxionGG also the fact that Röhl managed to beat the Audi's with the Ascona is still beyond me
I mean it's quite popular and Grand Tour made a whole feature segment on it

Oh yeah wartburg 353
I woudn't say Art of Rally is a forgotten game, just way to expensive for what it is. Don't feel like spending $25 on a game that's usually for $10...
All hail ova games. 😂
More games like this should be produced. Selling 10M at 25$ or 25M at 10$ is not relevant, but this game deserves a lot of attention
