    That’s facts. I have the most success when I simplify my approach to even “I dare you to throw me a strike”

    That was literally mind blowing. So simple yet so hard to execute at times

    He's speaking to my soul. I ruined my high school career and college career by making all of these mechanical changes. Great video

    I remember being a freshman in high school hit 2 home runs in back to back games, one being a grand slam . After these games, I would I strike out AB the next three 4 games, smashing my confidence

    Love this vid. I have lived as a self 2 which has pushed me to drive my players to be self 2. When they buy in you can see the difference immediately when they apply

    Everything that he explained the first portion of the video was me. I use to be a flow hitter till I broke my bat then I had no clue how I hit what my swing was or anything. And I did well in travel ball tryouts and made it on the team but I can not apply it at all in the game.

    What are some mental thoughts a self 2 player should think

    • @reesesmith1196
      @reesesmith1196 10 месяцев назад +1

      Self 2 guy doesn’t think, just executes the plan 👍

    • @rhvp65
      @rhvp65 2 месяца назад

      Self 2 player should have a confident attitude and think "Bring it on!", or "I know that I can hit this pitcher", or any thought that implies that he expects to get a hit, every time he goes to the plate.

    Hey man you said some really good stuff but right now I’m confused about one thing. When I’m reacting to pitches I’m feel like I’m not ready to swing or I just can’t. Is that mental or something. I have been trying to be more aggressive but it’s not fixing the problem

    • @luxylt7674
      @luxylt7674 Год назад +6

      Yes 100%, trust your natural abilities and stop micro managing your body bc it takes away athleticism and tightens everything up. Which will not allow you to play at your best, your gonna be at your best when your playing free and letting your body do what it knows how to do

    Is it ok to get a pitching coach?

    • @mikeybaseball1
      @mikeybaseball1 Год назад +2

      absolutely, just make sure he knows what he is doing and comes with references. There are many out there who damage arms. This guy Summers has an advanced degree and hires professionals with either advanced degrees or ex MLB pitchers so his facility is good, but he is in Clearwater Florida and it may be tough to travel there for some people. But he may be able to refer you to someone good in your area.
