Guys.
RTINGS tests the speakers in the middle of the room.
It gives inaccurate readings.
JBL Authentics 500 actually has 30 Hz maximum bass frequency extension, not 44.3 Hz maximum bass frequency extension.
You must put JBL Authentics 500 towards a wall, then the bass is strong.
If I were you, I wouldn't trust RTINGS.
JBL Partybox 310 is accurate, 32 Hz maximum bass frequency extension.
Why, because it has so loud bass with a big port, that a wall isn't needed.
JBL Partybox Encore also has 32 Hz maximum bass frequency extension, but same thing as with JBL Authentics 500, you must put it towards a wall.
RTINGS claims JBL Partybox Encore only has 39 Hz maximum bass frequency extension.
(JBL Partybox Encore Essential has same frequency extension as JBL Partybox Encore normal version.)

Would be awesome to see Bluetooth speakers get dinged if they have those obnoxiously loud sound effects and voice messages that you cannot disable or tone down. With the Anker Soundcore speakers in particular that's a major concern, but then I guess they're not really meant for music listening either :)

The Sonos Move 2 is still a great speaker and is a good alternative to the JBL Boombox 3, especially with its great voice assistant features! It's a big speaker with many features, but its battery life isn't as long-lasting as the JBL and is more expensive, which is why we recommend the JBL over the Sonos 🙂
