- Owners with the 6.0 Ford Powerstroke engines & that are leaking fuel, may want to check this video out to repair their truck correctly. Welcome back guys and gals. Hope yall are GOOOD! Tonight I wanted to show you all how to replace that "key" shaped gasket up on the secondary fuel filter housing. I know it says easy fix, not that it isn't on the truck but...it really isn't that hard to do. Let me know if this helped ya out of if someone had to take theirs to a shop to get this done!! I have a 2004 6.0 powerstroke that has a fuel leak and a code for the 4th cylinder. She is causing extra problems again. She just started leaking fuel today.
I’ve done the blue spring couple years ago when I did an oil cooler and welded egr. The blue spring makes a difference.

The very first mod I did when I got my 6.0 was the blue spring mod. 👍
I fixed "the blue spring" diesel leak about 5 ago. The originating point of the leak was fairly easy to see that time. Do you have any videos on diesel leaks causes what seems to be coming from the passenger side? No error codes but pretty poor fuel economy and recently started a bit rough shaky idle. 2007 6.0 powerstoke. Please help if diesel leak due injector oring?

I was also a Ford Master tech. And I feel the same way sometimes, but then I remember having to deal with all the warranty claims when at times Ford didn't want to pay us for our work. Sometimes repairing it the right way, Ford would try to say over repair!!

The good ole 6.0 leaker. I actually still miss my old 2007 from time to time. I actually miss doing this particular job. There's been so many of them done by now, I'm surprised there are still some out there that haven't had this upgrade done yet.

I only have 1 old 6.7 left in the fleet but it does have a couple of problems. I need to figure out what it is again.
I performed this to my 6.0 back in 2010ish, definitely helped the fuel pressure from dropping at WOT. Didn't have any problems with mine leaking fuel there tho. Like others, missing my 6.0...

6e7z9c165b is another part number for 05-07 6.0 that doesn’t include the extra housing which usually isn’t needed.
03-04 have an extra black plastic piece under the brass piece that tend to crack and cause low fuel psi.

Wha5s up buddy hope your ok..i just did this housing on my truck..i want to advise everyone to be extremely careful if your secondary fuel cap becomes to tight and cannot get it off..THIS housing is soft aluminum so IF someone was to take a screwdriver and try to remove it buy turning the cap by making four indentations around the cap with the screw driver . BE CAREFUL. when you do that aluminum can break in two seconds just a little PSA.arod im one of your biggest fans buddy keep up the good work .jl Connolly excavation Nd landclearing

Been watching for years, thanks for all the tips ,but having an e-350 van does make everything about 3 times as challenging. So i am waiting for the big day when one comes in with the 6.0

I own an 08 e350 with the 6.0. Never had any problems except for egr valve and icp sensor. 123k and she runs good. Will need an oil pan soon,my mechanic hates working on it!

Guy please help ?!? I have a 6.4 that I had a oil pan gasket leak so when the water pump went out I decided it was time to do them both at the same time. After reassembly I started getting a icp code low frp p2291 so , I changées the sensor under the pass side valve cover. After reassembly I primed the system and there was TONS of air. When it finally quit spitting air it would idle for as long as I wanted it to however when I’d drive it , it really shit the bed!! It’s sucking air from somewhere so I removed the lines from the lpfp to the filter housing up top and it blew bubbles and fuel ! Now ! It won’t even pump fuel to the upper filter so I’m thinking I need to drop the tank and check the lines for leaks ! I just don’t understand how doing the oil pan gasket and the water pump can cause ALL THIS TROUBLE !!?? When I did the oil pan I did jack the motor up to the tip of the motor mount studs approximately 2 1/2 inches! I’m stuck and need a lil help ANYTHING at this point

Just a tip for you which I’m sure you already know. Is if you put a zip tie on the fuel line before you undo the nut that goes into the fitting you put new o-rings on the nut won’t go down to never never land.

LOL. I've seen these trucks coming in many times with the lines zip tied. Funny how I've never bothered with zip ties through the years of wrenching on these trucks. If a line fitting were to slide down the line, I've never had any problems retrieving it with my magnet.
