This is only the 2nd time I've seen MGK in an interview, but he seems like such a kind soul that's been a bit battered around. The love and compassion he has inside definitely seems to shine outward, even if he has dark moments looming around. Hopefully he and Megan can be that beacon for one another. We all deserve peace in life, even if it can be hard to find most of the time.

Life is really hard now, much more than it used to be, and I feel like it can be difficult to recognize beauty if you get too clouded by the ugly in the world. Living in L.A., I have to constantly remind myself of that or else I would have driven off a freeway overpass already. Hence my true loves: Animals/Wildlife & Nature.

As a 50+ year old woman, wife & mother, I embarrassingly admit I TOTALLY judged a book by its cover regarding Machine Gun Kelly. Drew made him feel so comfortable and embraced that I saw such a kind, loving, gentle soul who maybe IS a little lost, but aren’t we all?! I literally wanted to hug him when the interview was over. His smile lights up the room! Great job Drew!

Honesty is magical. Maybe just stop judging people by how they look then... Just a thought, because "judging a book by its cover" is a saying, but it doesn't ever make it OK. He feels that way because of people doing that. Mistaking everything about us with in depth misjudgements when you have no idea. I can relate, and honestly it just made me do it back n judge 50+ women for being mean and judgemental but that hurts me aswell and more people in turn, so I don't do it anymore. But if I find myself wanting to react because it happens alot. I'll remember it's just an awareness thing, they have no idea and must be in more pain than me anyway to feel the need to misjudge somebody.

I don't know much about MGK, but Drew is right; this interview made me love him. He is very much not what I thought a rocker would be like, and that humilty makes me see him more fully as a person. And his love for his daughter is palpable. This man gets an A+

Machine Gun Kelly is so much more relatable and sensitive then the image crafted for him by his PR and agents. You can't judge a book by it's cover...Very good interview, well done Drew and Kelly.
What image crafted for him? He has always been real and true to himself. There is no "image", just a complex human being with both flaws and qualities
There was no image crafted for him. If anything it looks like that now but it's not. When he was rapping that was all him wild and dressed like a rocker. Today he dresses a bit feminine which seems the farthest from what I'd ever expect to see him do but I'm guessing Meghan has alot to do with it which isn't really a crafted image either just his girlfriends taste

The way drew intently looks at him while he speaks and tells his story, she's so invested and focused 💜
I’m actually saving this to watch at any given time. Drew and MGK reminded me it’s ok to feel what you’re feeling. It’s been an extremely difficult couple of years for all of us, we deserve to be true to ourselves, to our feelings and emotions.
One of the best interview styles I’ve ever seen.. most seem so fake.

I love this so much! Bless your hearts Drew and MGK for having such an honest, open conversation about painful times in their lives. You can just see in Drew's face she's genuinely engaged in the conversation and truly does give a safe space for guests.
I really appreciate and respect him for this I don’t think it’s boring I would rather listen to this than the planned out jokes, fake laughs, and fake smiles… we’re all sad sometimes

As a huge MGK fan, I remember someone once told me "you shouldn't praise his relationship with his daughter because no dad who looks and acts like that could be a good dad"
They said that right after I told them one of my favorite things about Kells is how he treats his daughter like she's his everything (because she is). His relationship with Casie is the type of relationship I WISH I had with my dad. This is the kind of relationship I want to have with my future kids. This man is an inspiration, whether you like his music or not. There is so much more to him than Rap Devil.

I just recently learned how rough Drew's childhood was from the neglect of her mother. It made me gain so much more respect for her rising above growing up in such a volatile and dangerous environment. She really learned all that she didn't want to be.
You can tell his shift from looking down and away go looking at her and connecting. He needed some time to adjust and she treated him like a human and allowed him to adjust on stage and then he started the eye contact, opened his body to the crowd, and shared his life without much need for it to be pulled out. Loved this!
I think by doing and saying his truth, Mgk has shown that just because a person seems to have everything, fame, fortune , love, its okay to be sad or down x

I got to meet MGK while working on a movie set. He was so charismatic. This is so awesome to watch two celebrities that have normal problems like the rest of us and to share it. That is strength.

MGK would've never said he was having an odd day and express his emotions like that. I'm so glad he's, slowly but surely, trying to stay more aware of his feelings, processing them, and understanding he can't control what happens or how he feels, and can only control how he responds.
We all have grown up with drew. She has always been in the public eye. For her to go through what she has gone through and still be as sweet and pure…just solidifies a pure heart. X

This happens to me too. Sometimes I smile for pics. And then looking at those pics, I remember how difficult it felt to smile on that day.
The realness of this gives me life!!! Drew helped that flow so well...and it ended with MGK giving what looked like a genuine smile, rather than a forced one.
This was so sweet to watch. I watched really old interviews with him and you can just tell he wasn't letting himself be vulnerable and natural. Im glad he is realizing that his true self and all his feelings is enough and is very lovable.
So I don’t know his music but anyone that can come onto a show and paint nails seems pretty awesome. It sure didn’t feel fake.

I fall more in love with Drew everyday, and I've been a fan of hers for decades. This show has been beyond a blessing, its a miracle! I hope that one day I can look at her square in the eyes and tell her what a wonderful person she is and that the world is better place because of her. No photos, no autographs, just a human conversation.
I think this was so important just on a human level, for him to see and feel that he’s worthy of love & attention even when he’s not “on” - just when he’s being him. Drew, this was amazing.

My daughter is 24, new Bachelor's Degree & moved out. She was my whole LIFE. She & all her friends were always here & now I'm lost. I'm 62 & she told me, "Mommy, would you be offended if I buy you 10 sessions with a counselor, for Christmas?"No Honey, I will NOT be but you save your money. Mommy has insurance .

I know who he is, I’ve NEVER listened to any of his music ( I’m a old school 90’s baby musically) BUT I LOVED HIS HONESTY AND THOUGHTS.

@@AC-mp7cx I would be proud to have a son like him, who clawed his at to where he is today, not by hurting others but by pushing himself to reach his goals. He is from the inner city of Cleveland, had a kid as a teenager, got involved in drugs, and guess what? Rose above all of it and still kept pushing. Now he is openly discussing mental health, being spiritual, and keeping your promises/obligations. I’d say his family is proud!

And I think persona is a correct word choice, he himself has said he does not want to be called MGK outside of his music career. He also acts and uses his birth name Colson Baker, and when he is just being himself he seems more chill and honestly a little nerdy/goofy too.
Drew is always in the moment, always listening to who she's interviewing, she doesn't talk over them either. She lets her guest talk! And she speaks her mind, and I love her so so so so much!! And MGK of course ! Great interview!! The right space. A safe space.💜💜💜

Hiding behind a mask is such a toxic thing to do to yourself, but I know how much it can’t be helped because I’ve gone through it before, It must really be so much harder to remove that mask or that persona as an artist like MGK though. I’m so glad that he realises that he doesn’t have to wear that mask all the time and that Drew is supportive of that. This makes me feel better.

This is the first time I've seen this show Drew is so down-to-earth humble and just an amazing person
I’ve been living sober since 2017 and it is a constant battle internally & I mean constant. Drew should be more than proud of herself but recovery is a wheel that just keeps on going and never stops going. Don’t be afraid to not be okay, I feel bad for these celebrities having their lives on display. You shouldn’t have to answer for why, how, what or when. Do YOU
