      Break the stranglehold not just on black education but education in general. This soft on crime nonsense is all part of the equity agenda that's all just a bunch of crap. Break up the teachers unions and the NEA and start teaching stuff like Civics and core academics. And while they're at it, start emphasizing old school values like the nuclear family and individualism. Nothing sets a child on the path to crime and destruction more than growing up in a broken home with no father around to look after them.

    The man who took my daughter's life is in San Quentin. I plan to go there soon. At first, I was very against rehabilitation for people who have taken a life, but at this point, if people are going to get out eventually, then yes, we absolutely need to get on board with rehabilitation! Two-thirds of those released reoffend so then we have a whole another round of victims out there that could have been prevented if instead of them using their time to just sit in there they could actually be doing something productive to change who they were.

    • @dickhertz5973
      @dickhertz5973 Год назад +10

      I disagree, it would a lot cheaper to put their lights out without 30 years of appeals that way we are assured they can never reoffend as long as we have irrefutable evidence that we have the guilty party.

    • @winterrosscharlton1147
      @winterrosscharlton1147 Год назад +4

      Strongly disagree, this is basic economics 101, if you lower the price of something, you are generally going to get MORE sales in that area. The “price” in this case is the punishment, time in the prison cell is the “cost” of getting caught committing a crime. This is yet another example of the “cost” or “price” a criminal pays being lowered, such that “paying the cost” - a prison sentence in a cushy safe university style rehabilitative environment - is now going to be LESS of a perceived burden for those who commit crimes, and the salesman in this case is Gavin Newsome, basically announcing that prison prices are reduced, come on in, get your job training, 3 hot meals a day, access to the library, gym, media center, top notch healthcare, and a network of likeminded individuals. The general public doesn’t understand that criminals don’t fear the system, and this is one less reason to fear it. Punishment has all but been removed in America. It’s all carrots 🥕, no stick.

    • @usaloveme

I would make them pay for their food all their life as prisoners. What’s wrong with this governor? He has children too, if one of his children would be in your daughter position would he want his child predator to be free? Unbelievable.

    Absolutely foolish and unwise. Rapists and murderers should never be let out. FYI you realize that criminals in prison appear to behave well BECAUSE THEY HAVE BOUNDARIES FORCED ON THEM. Even a monster will appear ok or nice behind bars. The problem is when they're released to the public and their innate malevolent nature and psychopath personality are freed - more harm will be unleashed on innocent citizens. This program should be only for minor carefully selected individuals who do not pose harm and crimes are minor. Psychologists and psychiatrists need to screen this IF it actually happens.

    God blessed us the californianos with Newsom governor.
    Human beings deserve a second opportunity and we need to support the inmates for them have a strong rehabilitation.
    Que tire la primera piedra el que esté libre de pecado.
    Gracias gobernador Newsom usted es un buen gobernador muy parecido de corazón a Jerry Brawn.
