Thanks for this, Jack. EFX question about the "space" sound your using - could you please describe what your using? I'm hearing delay or reverb, but not sure. What parameters are you adjusting to get this effect? Thanks!
I’m using a preset I had already in place for my Dead band. 64 Deluxe clean with a TS9 out front The reverb is almost 2 seconds… typical not highs of lows thing… but it’s pretty wet in terms of the % blend. As far delays…there’s a short slap. And a long throw. They’re in front of the reverb. So they get more washed out as they repeat. My typical low fi approach as far as no high end and lows and a little modulation on them. Definitely more repeats than usual and the level is pretty high. The trick to keeping the FX really present but not stepping on the original signal is the EQ and pre delay. You want to have a gas/clutch relationship between clarity and level of FX. As the blend comes up we need to roll back the treble and cut bass. If possible we want to delay the reverb (pre-delay) that really helps keep things clear but allow for a tremendous amount of goop AFTER the note is struck.
Beautiful sounds Jack. Thank you
@@dmc549 Thanks!!!
Thank you, Jack. Your tenacity to master the guitar is infectious. Great licks as usual. I need to play more!
@@kjguitarman Nothing better than a nice jam to start my weekend…well?
@@jacksnax4guitar460haha, I see which you did there! I’m unfortunately on a limited time frame. I will try to set something up in the future with you.
Thanks, Jack. You've got me dusting off my modes again...little rusty, but that won't last
