  • Re-mastered and Up-scaled to 1080p with New Introduction - Part 6 of a Video Diary documenting our Journey along the Ancient North Downs Way National Trail which runs for 153 Miles from Farnham in Surrey to Dover in Kent. This next Leg on Friday 18th August 2017 was 17.5 miles (with a couple of diversions) between the Villages of Otford and Cuxton in Kent.

    Well over half way now! I remember Wrotham for the motorway most of all. How wonderful to experience the barrow in such dramatic weather!

    You probably know but the slope you took down to the cock inn was the old Detling hill, (so we was told) any carriage that was heavily laden would use a cock horse to help them reach the top! We only done a small section on our bikes last year, aiming for more this year. Enjoyed your video thank you!

    You asked for pronunciation & though I’ve never been there my dad visited there a lot & he always,always, called it Rootham! I rest my case! You looked extremely kn**ckered by the end but it looked a good interesting walk.
