I loved the first house straight from the beginning. The outside already was gorgeous. I would have chosen it too. No spoilers for those reading the comments before viewing, but the mystery house really was a brilliant and unexpected surprise. Loved that reveal!

this is because it is 'brought to you' or, 'uploaded' by ETTC. The ones who sometimes cut of short are uploaded by privat persons.

The lodge house was a beautiful property with stunning outlooks and gardens. Set me down right there.

Through so many seasons, I’ve never seen anyone appreciate a bungalow on this show. Is it an English-thing? Here in the US, a good many homes are bungalows. Easier to pay for and keep-up than several-storied or barn-like dimensions.

English houses don't have basements. Rather than build down, they build up. I think bedrooms upstairs is simply traditional thinking. I think a full bathroom on the ground floor with bedrooms upstairs is peculiar. Also, I don't understand a home's front door being right up to the road with no sidewalk or garden in front.

Perfect livingroom in the mystery house. ...lovely, so cozy. And the rest of it is lovely too, and so much land.

anyone else notice in house 2 that they had their drying laundry up in the eaves near the ceiling? i thought that was neat as heat rises it makes sense and they had it on a pulley system i'd love to see them demonstrate!

The first property was perfect, the right size and easy to keep in order. The second one was absolutely stunning but far too big. It would be impossible to keep clean without daily help (perhaps two helpers). It was lovely though. I did think that the presenter cheated a little offering two houses attached together. She didn't give the buyers much choice to choose from. A completely different area would have been more interesting. A nice friendly and positive couple.

    What’s wrong with bungalows🤔!!!???

Really, I do not know what they had in their minds. They are a middle-aged couple. Their knees and their hips will eventually break down. They look with disdain at the first house because it was a cottage but liked the second house full of stairs as if there were no tomorrow! 🙄 And that kittchen could NEVER be heated. The ceiling was far too high. Too bad some people are not pragmatic and wiser.

They still seem very active, but I understand that aging is a creeping reality. 😊

The 1st house was detached which was appealing to me. The layout also works better. I would make the loft space a master ensuite to make it a 4 bedroom house. Most of the updates and extensions to the house has already been done wo it won't need much.

Everyone seems to think you can just buy somewhere in the country and set up glamping.... Shame they never went north of the Tyne, where most of the county lies.

Why does the name “bungalow” turn off so many people? At their ages, they would find out how nice it is to not have to lug laundry up & down the stairs.😊

How successful are all of these glamping businesses ?

A very good question! I worked for years in hospitality, and I'm a few years from retirement yet, but with a much less demanding job. I'm always wondering how these people who have had regular office-based jobs fare, in their later years getting into tourism and hospitality which is a huge investment in time and not always as profitable as they imagine.

I truly wish they'd do a follow up on all of these people moving to the country to have glamping plots, or annexes to rent etc but then i think that might ruin their show as people would realize you can have too many of those types of places in an area and there isn't enough business to go around most of the year!
