If I'm allowed to say something - Eyelids don't move with your eyes when they close. On paper they should stay at the same place but just fade out a bit to show the folding is gone (that's how I do it, at least)

thanks! the eye parts should go on two parameters, both eye-open and eye-smile, so you have 4 combinations of positions: open/neutral, closed/neutral, open/smile, closed/smile. if you click the chain-link icon to the left of the parameters, you can visualize the combinations as "corners." so in the closed/smile corner, you would rig that expression
