To be clear, we do not recommend moving a piano in the bed of a pickup truck. Strictly because the wheel wells inside the of truck bed make securing a piano difficult. However, due to the overwhelming questions that we have been receiving, we decided to explain how a professional piano mover would do preform this task. Please do not try this at home. This is not an easy task, and should only be preformed by trained professional piano movers.

Is there anyway to secure that magliner ramp to the pickup truck or the weight of the ramp should hold true to the position it’s in?
Most Magliner ramps do not secure to the truck. Gravity keeps them in place. If you want to secure the ramp in place, you can use a fiberglass walk board. They come with pins that secure them in place. Unfortunately, this will require drilling I to your tailgate.
One day, my dad found a piano at a house. He told him how much is the piano and he said it’s free. But when my dad tried to carry the piano, it was too heavy. 2 days later, the piano was gone and dad saw it in another person’s house.

That is a very broad question. Are you looking to learn how to secure a piano to a dolly, into a box truck, or into a pickup truck? If you're looking to secure the piano into the pickup truck, we are not going to suggest how to do that. Each truck manufacturer had different tie down points. You will have to see what your truck has, and use straps to secure the piano.

How about moving a concert grand in a pick up truck? After the piano movers pack and strap to the skid , we would have a crane lower into the back of a Tundra with the tailgate down.
🚨DO NOT DO THAT!🚨 Never move a concert grand in the back of a pickup truck! Concert grand pianos can weigh 1200lbs pushing most half ton pickup trucks over the GVW of the vehicle. In other words, you will be overweight, and could cause and accident. Also, most half ton trucks have a bed length between 5.5ft to 6.5ft. Even with the tailgate down the piano will stick out of the truck several feet. The truck does not have sides to strap the piano to, so you will be unable to secure the piano. Finally, the cost of a crane rental is equivalent or more than what a piano mover will charge to load and transport the piano in a professional piano moving truck. HIRE A PROFESSIONAL! It is money well spent.
