Hi Bob! I like how you document your tours and how you found the mountains to be a place where the soul recharges and finds it's true potential. Please consider following things to reduce safety issues (you may already noted): - Tie knots in the end of your rope, so you won't rappel out of your ropes by accident - Maybe use a backup safety (prusik) when rappelling. - Use your Petzl Reverso correctly please. The hole that you use to connect it to your harness is intended to be used only to belay up a second partner. In the way you use it, it's decreasing the safety of the device by quite alot. Petzl has really good explanation of the device on their website. - Tie the Gear, Leashes, and Runners neatly to your harness. Tangling things around knee level can be fatal in case of stepping over. - Don't spray paint the rocks! (the tape as in later videos is much better.) We al learn from each other and should also be open for critics from the public if we publish things on youtube. Thanks and best regards from Suisse.
Excelent! I had a wonderfull memory of that peak! Just some important suggestions for your safety: 1) When you rappel down, don't leave rope over your head. It can move stones (felling on your head) or get stuck into rocks. So, push ALL the rope down you before moving. Also, it seems you rappel down without a autostopping like a prussik or marchand. Especially alone, is Mandatory!! ALso, i didn't see any knot at the end of ropes. 2) Never wear short pants on ice/snow/rocky ridge. Even a little cut can really complicate our hike. Also, techincal pants are done in order to help you stop in case of falling on step icy snow. 3) When you climb, use toe thumb in order to "point the step" instead of little toe (external foot) (mins 17:55) . 4) You climb with a lot of pending ropes (10:39 - 11:5313:56). Bad. Assure them properly to your harness. They can "grab" rocks exactly at the moment you climb up, blocking your movement and making you loosing balance. You can image by yourself the result (fall). 5) you don't need paint. Follow crampons scratches on the rocks in order to follow the way. 6) NEVER pull ropes on old anchor. They can seem in good status but be damage and broke under traction (RIP Emilio Comici 19.10.1940). At the end,...CHapeau!! Bravo!!
Also, you frequently move on glacier with sticks. But you MUST keep ice axe in your hand, even alone. Modern ice axe are not for progression (of course, also) but in order to stop in case of falling on slipery step. Without ice axe, you have 0% chanches to stop. This kind of accident is most frequent on easiest alpine ascent on our Swiss Alps. Check on youtube some video in order to self-arrest and practice. La vue que tu as devant toi en montant n'est pas la même qu'en descendant, je pense que c'est là le vrai problème. De plus, le GPS déconne dans un environnement escarpé, il vous téléporte 50 mètres à gauche, 50 mètres à droite :-( il faut gérer et garder son sang-froid. Merci pour le commentaire !

Great video. I have a little place at the foot of the Wetterhorn and love the mountain. A lot of Chalets have terraces that face the Eiger, but the true beauty is the Wetterhorn as it gets the afternoon sunset glow. Thanks for giving me even more respect for this majestic mountain 🏔
You are right, the Wetterhorn is a beautiful mountain. I had the chance to admire it from different places (Rosenlaui glacier) , the silhouette changes and from the side of Grindelwald it is quite imposing. It was my last summit of the Wetterhorn trilogie. This brought back happy memories of a club Alpine training course more than 20 years ago - guide Mick Tighe decided we should do the Eiger from Kleine Scheidegg (following the upper part of your route but covering much less distance in total. Scary, but a wonderful experience, especially for a middle-aged Alpine novice.

They have different types of difficulties. On Eiger you have more loose stones and on Wetterhorn you have more climb. Each mountain is different 😄 Thanks for your comment.

Hi yes I am planning to do it solo, I was looking for a mountain I could climb from the base all the way up and technically not to extreme but high enough to feel all the elements of the high mountains , so I came across the Wetterhorn, you are the only one on RUclips that has filmed the whole journey, inspired seeing you doing that, I love hiking and climbing alone and combined with photography and filmmaking. I will go in September, usually for high altitude a good period

Another enjoyable video. It's amazing to think that some of the very experienced guides can practically walk up the majority of these ridges like mountain goats without much use of the arms. It's incredibly impressive just how sure-footed they are.

The path is usually marked with the paint (this was the case till the glacier on this route, it's done by CAS), I was thinking to do that to avoid being lost, but finally I found another method: some red tape, so you can remove it on my way back :-)
Liked and subscribed BUT... please don't take such risks again! I am more interested in less dangerous mountain climbs so I hope that you from now on can settle for less danger and enjoy what you have acheived and relive those memories by climbing less steep mountains. Or else I unsub! ;D
Thank you for your comment, even if some images look impressive actually in reality the passages are not as steep as they look from the camera's perspective. I always try to avoid to take foolish risks, in fact many times I have abandoned the ascent due to dangerous conditions.

I have a question about the rappel from the iron bars, will a 50 m cord be enough for 25 m descent? What length did you use?
Yes 50m is enough, I had 60m Petzl Raid line with me.
