this video called me untalented in 10 different languages
Ughhh, I know what you mean.
I wouldn't have thees parts anyway i play trombone
I play French horn and I can get some but not the high to low notes that fast
I got you beat. It called me untalented in all the languages
@@waltermccord550 I am too old now can’t even try.
2:44 bells player in the back was like “here we go”
“That was ENTIRELY too fast” nice
as a tuba player this scared me
Sameee
02:05 that composer must had a huge grudge on euphonium players that night. 😂
Man, he totally nailed it like it's nothing
I was gonna say 'aren't you supposed to make it LOOK hard too?'.
@@TheMrAshley2010 If you make it look easy those who have tried know how good you are.

Best
Part
EVER!
I think Matonizz face at 3:55 was awesome....and then bringing the heat :)
😧 my god that’s hard
Happy Veterans Day we played Stars and Stripes forever for the vets
We played The Liberty Bell
It’s funny because as a woodwind player this looks very easy 😂😂
FWD Graphics exactly 😂
Yes but us brass players have to control our embouchure for every note
Woodwinds have it easy, just press button and make sound
Jasont 123 damn roasted
going outside haha it’s funny that you think that’s true.
as a trombone i-
Tbh my brain couldn’t even follow those notes in my head
All this music brings back memories of high school and college. Thanks so much!!
I played festive Overture(Shostakovich) transcribed by Donald Hunsberger. That was really a challenge!!! 😅😅
I'm just an amateur musician. The hardest euphonium part I´ve played is Poema Alpestre by Franco Cessarini. Played it for nationals for concert band in Norway some years ago. Fantastic piece though!
Truly amazing. They made it look easy
I stand in awe ! !
I wish I was this good. Your tone is so amazing
Excelente técnica. Excelente som. Beira à perfeição.
Oh, man, do I love getting here early! Another great one!
My schools wind ensemble just played riverdance for our concert. Its so hard but it sounds so cool!
Thank you for this video! Reminded me why I need to be a Euphonium performance major! I want to play every single one of those songs!
I was going to say it on my own, but @TheOfficialDragonPlays beat me to it... The stuff that you play is just so inspiring and motivating, and I've found myself learning baritone on top of trumpet and playing it for band. However, I would never consider dropping trumpet. Love it too much! Surprisingly, despite stereotypes on playing multiple brass instruments, I found that playing Baritone has improved me as a Trumpet player in ways I couldn't have imagined. Anyways, thanks for the inspiration! Keep up the great work! :)
Ahh. Riverdance, my favourite
that looks like a blast!!!!!!
1:03 *christ on a crutch what tempo is that*
Edit: K so i actually did the math. Its around 180 bpm buuut since its in cut time, that technically makes it a whopping *_360 beats per minute_*
For reference as to how fast that is, flight of the blumblebee is only 190 bpm.
Not only that, the fastest song ever marched was only 220 bpm
Idk how the hell you guys kept up but good on you for doing it and doing it well
Geometry Dash.
Definitely I can appreciate how complicated this stuff can be for a low sounding instrument that isn’t a bassoon. I didn’t even know this music existed for these instruments, damn good
wonderful
Magnific!
just incredible wow wow wow
New subscriber here! Love the way you play!
Thats good :)
Cuz your vids makes me practice more :)
とても素晴らしい演奏だ!
Amazing!
Thanks for recording and editing these excerpts! Who are the arrangers of these versions?
Wow very fast~! Wonderful 😍
Wow, I cant even imagine doing this, good thing I play Tuba
WHENPICKLESFLY 38 same
Sameee
that’s a super nice euph
I come from HBCU show style highschool band, and plan on marching for either The sonic boom of the south or the human jukebox, but i do love a concert sound every now and then!
AWESOME! 😃😃😃👏👏👏
Friends, hope you enjoy some of these tricky lines!!! Make sure to like, share, comment and subscribe. Happy Veteran's Day!!!
don't ya love seeing notes 5 ledger lines above the staff? oh yeah it's great
hey uh, music? there's something called a staff
Please make a solo version of EVITA thank you!!! You're so great
The first song was in my marching show this year
I feel as useless as that thumb ring
I wish I was as good as but I got time
Hey do you do Tuba Christmas?
If not look it up it’s really fun
Thanks friend and yes, in Pittsbugh
Marshmello Marshmello where do you do it I’m about to do my first
Mateo Chavez I do it in north field MN and st Paul Minnesota
I got to watch Hello Dolly this past summer at the Peace Center in Greenville SC, now I know what I was hearing😂
4:00 My mans said Carolina Crown
There are definitely more difficult parts out there, these are not so bad. `The Kings Messenger' has very tricky fingerings and parts while `devil and the deep blue sea' is also tricky.
Freakin amazing playing. They must practice a lot. LOL!
Question for you: Out of all of those, which one is the absolute hardest?
Evita and American Tale would be close 1 and 2 for different reasons :)
if i started to see these while playing i would just start crying
As a euphonium player, I'm about halfway through the video and I have to say I'm a little disappointed Pineapple Poll hasn't made an appearance yet.
Anyone know where I can find the arrangement for the Irish washerwoman? I wanna play it for my senior solo. Killer video by love, I love your content.
so crazy...
Entirely too fast is right, jeez you are good man never stop
Herausforderung angenommen!
Challange akzeptet!
Do you have any tips for anyone wanting to become professional euphonium players? I love the way you all played, and i want to play like you all someday!
Here's my 2 most important pieces of advice. 1. Speak with as many professional players and find out what their job requires them to do. Rehearsals, learning music, performances, traveling, money (if that is something they would be willing to talk about), how much practice goes into this and etc. If you still feel like that's the gig for you then follow nr.2
2. In arts, including euphonium playing, once you made a decision to become a professional player you can not stop. No deadlines, no quitting and you eventually will get there. Might get there sooner, might get there later but you can not stop playing and practicing and trying to get better. You will slow down at some points because you are not a machine but you can not ever stop.
Follow these two advice and you'll do well my friend. Hope this helps, best, M
Riverdance isnt that bad the 3rd cornets have the same part as you in riverdance providing its a traditional brass bands, i can remember playing it when i used to play cornet instead of baritone, you played it a lot better tho! It all sounds brilliant mate!
Haha I play the baritone too
Try it now. Cornet is fast naturally. The bigger the horn the more air you have to move.
I play trombone and the highest note I can consistently reach is the above the staff A, so this is crazy for me
I play Euph and same for me
the fastest part I've ever played was the middle section of Apocalyptic Dreams. The director told us to not even play it
Thought you were about to play sing sing sing for a sec
Goodness. 😱
I would try it but...
IM NOT GOOD
I would try it but...
I’m a tuba player...
That guy next to you is right there every note is the way-lol
the scales are easy. the technic standards you learn in arband school. then it's possible with enough time to practice. the most difficult thing is the embouchure and the sound quality.
Can we talk about the middle euph at about 1:20 for the next minute...?
Insane fingers.
Well🤗
you should really put a mic on your horn so we can hear you better but not too loud, so we can hear the band too. Love the videos
I had trouble but I got it down in a week
Wasnt this uploaded though?
Just put it in treble clef and I'm good to go!😂
When you play your fast notes your fingers seem like they dont move a lot. But the guy next to you... wow his fingers are going big speed
Do trombones + euphoniums
Matonizz you are a great band teacher and a good inspiration to us euphonium players thanks and cool video! Maybe you should try playing a slow piece that really takes skill and that’s what people really want to hear is “skill”
I wasn’t trying to be mean I was just saying it’s a thought
I thought my piece with 230 measures was crazy XD
Hold my beer..
Beer comes spewing out of the euphonium.
Thats how its done mate.
Do you have any tips on playing higher notes, I'm a euphonium and I've been playing for 5 years but I still have trouble getting the higher notes
Hi buddy, check my educational video playlist, it will have multiple high range tutorials that will help. Best, M
@@Matonizz Wow I wasn't really expecting a response, especially this early and ill check out the videos, thanks
Where is the good old melody shop??
Have you guys ever tried using marching euphoniums for solos?
Not for solo with the band. I've tried it couple of times with some jazz programs we did. However, if you like marching euphoniums check these out.

Matonizz have you ever tried playing like these euphonium players?
ruclips.net/video/eERUXmz2l-I/видео.html
you can see Abby 7:09 going like Nope when matonizz starts playing
Try Wilby’s Masquerade if you want actually difficult rather than a little awkward.
My fingers hurt seeing this
Welp you better have those valves greased 😉
1:03
what mouthpiece are you using?
You need whats called. Well oiled valves to do this
I'm also a euphonium player
What note uses only 3rd valve? I see you play it in the first tune I think. Its notated a treble clef A, but I've mostly seen only 3rd valve used to flutter a note.
Third valve is used as an alternative to valves 1-2; it is used for better intonation at times. Even compensating horns use the third valve in the upper register to keep from going sharp.
As a trombone player this gave me a heart attack
Oh yeah. Technique and fast fingering lines. The part i was always best at. Esp. when never having seen the notes before. Not.
How many years have you been playing?
And how many of that professionally?
I mean, my 10 were all for fun (still playing) even tho ambitious at that.
Started when I was 8, left to do undergrad when I was 19, got a first long term job when I was 24 and I'm 28 now. I'll leave the math for you :D But I've been playing for bit over 20 years now friend :)
👏🏽👏🏽
I honestly think I can play it... the real question is if I can read treble clef
Who is the other girl baritone during Dolly?
Doesn't the euphonium uses a different sheet music simbol
You are just taunting us with the "Try it yourself in the title"
No, I'm literally saying pause the video and try it yourself :D the parts are fun and challenging and sharing snippets so people could follow it and try it out :)
@@Matonizz hahaha. You are literally a God and I'm trying to get better and watching these videos shows me how good someone can get
@@Matonizz you really want peoples fingers to catch fire? lol
what songs were these?
C this is y I play tuba
Hope you don’t mind if I ask, who are the women that plays the baritone. I play the euphonium in a band. (Been playing the trumpet over 20 years but made a switch.)
You mean their names?
Just curious. If they wish to remain anonymous it’s fine. Was looking around the web for female euphonium or baritones musicians.
Ping-Chung Ellen Wang check out Katrina Marzella, she’s probably the best Baritone player going around
Thank you
My lips would be numb after this
Could we get names of these pieces showed in the compilation?
Hi Daniel, each time the piece starts in video the tittle of it appears next to the picture
Is this bass clef right? Because it sounds much higher
Some bass clef, some treble
Song at 4:43?
高い音を平気な顔で吹けるとか凄すぎ笑笑
