Incredible timing … just yesterday I scanned my Buddy’s 2010 Cadillac SRX and it has the same DTC - but for the passenger rear … he was ready to shoot the parts cannon and replace sensors and brakes … but I believe we have something very specific to look for now … thanks Ivan …

Codes rarely condemn the sensor that generates the code. A code is nothing more than a fault in the system. Using diagnostics to pinpoint the true fault is the only way to drastically reduce firing the parts cannon.

However, factory didn't apply any when assembled 12ish years ago, and it lasted till today in your rustbelt. I would've use a large set of bearing pullers (preferably hydraulic) to remove that wheel hub,a bug slide hammer may have worked as well,I don't know why GM in the U.S. didn't do what Holden did in Australia & mount the ABS sensors on the rear differential unit, mine has been going for 22 years without a problem.
The only problem I have had is when I used a ball joint removal tool on the left hand front lower control arm & it pierced into the sealed ABS sensor reluctor unit on my Holden VY Commodore meaning that I needed a whole new wheel hub assembly which I bought aftermarket, it's just a freewheeling hub without any drive splines for a driveshaft..
The problem is that the aftermarket hub only lasted for 6 weeks then I began to hear a noise coming from the front of the car,I jacked it up & spun the wheel only to hear it rumble which was bad news.
I ordered it on eBay from a Sydney seller so I ordered another one from an eBay seller which is located at Melbourne in Victoria & for the last 10 years it hasn't given me any problems !

Stainless steel is mot magnetic depending on the alloy of ss you are using. Most common ss's are not readily magnetic.

14:35 "Why didn't they just make this out of stainless..."
Ummm... maybe because _most_ stainless steel is non-magnetic. Special martensitic steels can be stainless and magnetic, but most stainless steels are not.

I don't use grease because it tends to dry out or wash off within the 6 mouths instead ideal way is with anti-seize grease.

Never use mobil 1 bearing grease. I used it on my front bearings when it came out, and on dads new tahoe. Both had trashed bearings less than a year later. The lubricant leaks out leaving a red powder that grinds metal. It even leaked out of the grease gun tube in my tool chest.
I would think up there you would use marine grease so it can handle the salt. Pain to pack in bearings, but oh does it do the job.

@@robertsmith2956 Packing bearings is one thing, ideally you do want to use marine grease anyway because it repelled water where pump a lot in too it however, but it does not work as a thin layer between two metal pieces and anti-seize dose much better job

How many mouths do you typically have involved? Six seems excessive.

Joking aside, that hub is a crazy design with the ABS sensor ring integrated into it. On my 2003 Volvo XC90 and 2009 Mercedes C200, the ABS sensor rings can be replaced separately. You must hate GM because of things like that. Good to see your thumb is on the mend.

Folks who drive any of the newer GM vehicles should know that the Fuel Control Modules can fail without any warning, leaving them stranded. The design of the vehicles make it difficult to tow once it happens. Tow truck drivers are seeing this a lot recently.

Most stainless steel alloys are not magnetic, and the ones that are magnetic are very weakly so. The tone ring has to be ferrous to work.

I wish i could sell 4 bolts with nuts and a spacer as a kit for 40$.. lol. Is like how dewalt used to sell a hammer drill repair kit for almost 100$ and all it had was 2 small 5$ bearings and 2 10$ brushes with a little packet of dielectric grease.. lol.

Hello Ivan. I am having an issue with a 2021 Hyundai Elantra SE where the backup camera won’t come on when put into reverse. Reverse light come on so I know it’s not an issue with that circuit. I was wandering if you could provide me with wiring diagrams for the whole backup camera circuitry. I’m thinking there is a connection issue somewhere along the harness where it bends from the trunk opening and closing. I don’t have an Alldata subscription but this issue is driving me nuts, thanks! 🙏
