I absolutely love Joker stories. It is always interesting to have something different, like having a change, like villains winning or killing off a hero to build up drama and draw people in. However, when you really look at the Joker and Batman stories, Joker actually wins. Joker stories are unique and different because Joker is not like other villains who are relatively simple. Other villains are relatively simple with simple goals and plans like conquering the world or the universe, killing a certain hero, or robbing a bank. All of these are simple villain goals, and they will fail if heroes stop them and/or if they get caught, but Joker is different. Joker might do some crazy and wild stuff from time to time, like killing tons of people with guns or Joker toxins or whatever, or robbing places, or poisoning the water supply, things like that, but in truth all of those plans, his goal is not to achieve any of them. Joker only does things to get Batman's attention and draw Batman to him. Joker's only goal is to mess with Batman. Joker doesn't want money. Joker doesn't want Batman dead. Joker loves the cat and mouse game that he and Batman play. Joker's only real goal is to mess with Batman. Just like in Batman Death of the Family comics or the comics where Joker seemingly cut off the faces of the Bat-Family and he asked Batman why doesn't Batman kill him and after that he basically explains that as long as he is alive he is winning. And with everything that he does, poisoning people, killing people, stealing things, whatever, it really doesn't matter if Batman stops him and captures him and throws him in jail/prison, because as long as he gets Batman's attention and Batman is focused on him and he just gets to mess with Batman, then he is achieving his goal. So he is succeeding, which means he is winning. Joker is just getting what he wants all of that time, so really Joker wins. That is what I really like about Joker stories because they are different from other villain stories. Joker is a villain who *never* loses.

EXCELLENT ANALYSIS! Something I find even more interesting is the fact that even through Death, Joker always has the last laugh. You noticed that in EVERY UNIVERSE when Joker died, the world only got worse? Like in the comics when batman killed Joker, and then Batman BECAME the Joker, and killed EVERYONE. OR in Injustice when Superman killed Joker, and then he essentially became the Joker by oppressing the entire universe, killing Joker, and even fighting BATMAN. Or in the Arkham Verse when Joker died, Gotham only got worse. New villains popping up, and coming together to destroy the city. I could go on forever. You said that aslong as Joker is alive, he's always winning, but even in DEATH, for some reason he always wins....I love the methodology so much!

@shinecomics That's true. The "always being alive and winning that way," is I was talking about the comics Batman Death in The Family where Joker seemingly cut off the faces of all of the Bat-Family and served them as dinner or something. In that comic, he asked Batman why he never killed him, and Batman said that if he did, Joker would win, and Joker said that he is winning while he is alive or something along those lines. That is what I was talking about. But you are right.

I liked the jokers origin, but I felt like the future batman story was rushed and the cure was kind of dumb (I still enjoyed it though). I believe that the mystery Batman is Damian Wayne in a possible future, or The Batman in Bethlehem while the other Robin is Tim Drake. It could also be Tim Drake Batman from the Future, revealed in Detective Comics

I agree it was a bit rushed, but they kindve HAD to rush it because its not like DC wants to spoil EVERYTHING thats going to take place in the future of DC Comics

@@shinecomics I get it, plus it was a three part story that came out weekly and they had to cram it with the rest of the story without taking too much away from the main story. I think for what it is it works. And it fixed the three joker thing no one wanted to deal with.
