Watching this fixed my boot problem, superglued a little extra piece of metal on the metal spring (that had gone flat over time) and now it touches the switch when I press button
So from boot only opening maybe one in every 10 attempts it's back to opening every time
Thanks 👍
Thanks for the upload, had a button malfunction, trunk didn't open, took it apart, checked the way you did in video, turned out that the button was not being depressed enough for some mechanical reason, so I superglued a little "bumper" to the metal part that pushes the button making it push it in deeper and works perfectly. Couldn't have done it without your vid. Thanx again!
Thank you for this video ! Where do I send a beer ? I fixed the tailgate.
What was the problem?
@@Guerrini2954 The switch from the tailgate was broken, it did not make electrical contact anymore. I bought a new tailgate switch from the spare parts yard and it worked.
What was it that actually did the trick?
I have the same issue. But I can unlock it if i long press the middle button of the key. Try that if you don't want to fix it.
Amazing, after watching your vid, i fixed myself.
What was the problem!?
Gracias amigo
You are GREAT Men! This video help me too much! Thanks :)
Hello! Yes and what ?
Im am not sure what was supposed to be the actual fix in the video since you only took the part apart and put it back again. I seem to have fixed my similar handle. Yes, it seems that the micro switch does not get pressed by the bent metal tab in the handle every time. Now, I tried to bend it ever so slightly, but then there is the issue that the return "leaf- spring" does not sit secured by the plastic tab. A little flimsy design in my opinion. Oh well, the handle worked with the metal tab slightly bent and reinstalled WITHOUT the spring, just fine. However, I cut two helical springs so that they rest in the hexagonal indents, for piece of mind. Seems to work.
good work...thank you
So, just some oxidation on the electrical contacts, probably.. Maybe using electrolytic oil on the terminals and simply re seating them will do the trick
Can you buy just the switch inside??? If so what is it called thanks
Rly well made video
Hi, I have same issue so what you changed it???
Rinse with special oil anti rust man!
Nice
Thanks
Sorry my Skoda Space back has no bolts and no visible means to secure in the apature
GOod Job
Oh no rust problem 😨
No rust, but what is problem ? I have same problem i think.
@@costelform3463 the metal tab that presses the button needs to be bent alittle up to hit the button of the micro switch everytime. After some years it gets squash down. You can super glue a little thin bit of rubber on the metal tab so it presses the micro switch button easily when you press the handle to pop the boot.
