Gracious takes a mock driving test and makes nine serious driving faults.
She laughs when told she's failed the driving test.
#drivingtest #drivinglessons #drivingtesttips
I suffer with severe dyspraxia and when I was just a kid my parents were told I'd most likely never be able to drive. I wanted to try anyway. I failed my driving test five (yep, five) times. My instructor was amazing and endlessly patient, but I began to feel that eventually even he was giving up hope that I'd ever do it. I downloaded the Ultimate Driving Course and passed my test with zero minors on my next try. I've now been driving for two years and consider myself to be a very safe and competent driver. I still watch these videos though! 😂 I honestly couldn't be more grateful. Thank you, Pin 🙏🙏
Well done to you! Good to see you and your instructor kept at it despite having a learning disability.
@@itslgl dyspraxia isn’t a learning disability haha
@@benriedel8559 Sorry I meant learning difficulty not "disability" lol.
These kind of messages make me so happy. Well done to you! ♥️
How much it costs please to download it ?
True to her name, she was very gracious with her critiques. I'm sure with a few more lessons under her belt, she'll be fine. Good luck, Gracious!
Love the video Pin but who else skips that annoying part when the lady goes “hurray...” ? 😂😂
Me 😂😂 so annoying … And now we have the plug of the shoes 🤦♀️
Guess what, no one is forcing you to watch it.
@@kay-473 Idiot, it pops up like an advertisement does and people only pay attention to the first few words because they were paying attention to the beginning of the video. Shame on you for insulting the great subscribers of this channel.
It's not too bad, but does get repetitive when binge watching these videos.
I don't. I think it's fun. She's so happy!
14:25 where did that bird get his license? That must have been a serious flying fault.
I passed my driving test today, first time with 5 minors. It still hasn’t hit me genuinely feels surreal. If you ever see this, I would just like to say a huge thank you to you for your amazing videos, they truly helped me so much!

@@maryamsalah5271 don't, I was stressed as well.I started my lessons back in March 2020.Couldnt pick the worst time for it😅🤣So I had lots of breaks between my lessons,I had 60 hours with my instructor didnt pass twice, I changed instructor, booked another block of 10 hours and passed ,third time lucky! On a test day I had a positive attitude, said to myself that I have to stay calm,I had so many lessons, I need to show them what I can and I did it!So proud of myself,I will be 40 this year and as you get older it becomes more difficult cause you tend to overthink everything where when you young you don't really have this fear. But I did pass and couldn't be prouder of myself, the best feeling! You wil do it,believe in yourself and focus🙏💪

14:35 I was going to say what has the bird 🐦 got to do with Gracious. Pin is hilarious 🤣😂🤣
Passed my test first time on Tuesday. So happy with how it went, your mock test videos definitely helped
Passed my test this week and will still be watching every video! When we were all stuck in covid your videos, pin taught me so much. Everyone make sure you buy the ultimate driving course!!🥺💖
I passed my test last Wednesday! Thank you Pin for your videos, they are really helpful and taught me things that even my instructor left out ☺️
I have my test in a month. It will be my second time. The first time my awful instructor put me in too fast, made me feel doubtful as to whether I'd pass and failing decimated my confidence. Luckily, I've found a much better and more understanding instructor, who actually nags me more (but it works) and learned in an automatic. I really am desperate to pass; I've been learning for nearing 2.5 years (stopped and started over COVID-19). These videos are super helpful to sharpen my awareness. Thanks DGN!
I went through the exact same thing, on and off with Covid it was so mentally draining and also draining my bank account but I managed to pass last week just keep at it and watch videos of mock tests on RUclips it helped a lot, and I passed on the second time it’s so much better second time around, good luck

I passed last week Tuesday with 4 minors on my second try. Your videos have helped me so much with my driving. My examiner was really nice and friendly. For anyone that’s doing their test, stay calm & plan ahead! That’s the best advice I can give you ✨

I passed my test with 3 minors last week. Thanks to you Pin, i been watching your videos for so long time & it really helped me. I took 50 hours of lessons in 45 days & passed. But i think learned more from your videos than in my actual lessons.
Passed for the first time today, after constantly watching these videos and Clearview driving. Thank you both for what yall do for us💪🏽
Hey man I passed my test last year but never said thank you, I had watched tons of your videos and learned from peoples mistakes and practiced
only part I struggled with was nervousness but my instructor helped with that by talking with me but just again thank you for helping me pass :)
Passed my test last Monday! Forgot to comment this but your videos deffo helped me pass and have me a wider knowledge when driving under test conditions. Cheers Pin! 👏🏻
Hi DGN. I passed my driving test today and your videos helped massively. Thank you so much 😊
passed my test first time today after watching your videos religiously for weeks. alongside my lessons they really helped. thank you!
Hey, your videos are very helpful for those who are learning driving. I have passed my driving test and your videos gave me knowledge about driving. You are very good instructor 👍
Just passed my test today 1st time and there was a lot of traffic and at one point a truck came full speed at me when it was my right of way and I touched the curb but because I was so stressed that I was sure I failed but I didn’t get marked down for it because it was his fault. I have extremely bad anxiety too so I was worried a lot. My advice to any people with their driving test make sure to take deep breaths and try not to panic (I know it’s easier said than done, and when I saw other people say that I didn’t believe it) but these videos actually really helped me a lot and I’m thankful :)
LOL when pin looks into the camera when they do something wrong it's like an episode of the office hahaha
After Pin looks at the camera he suddenly ends up in that room to speak from his mind.
😂😂😂😂😂
Watching this after passing my test is great, also the UK driving test isn’t as strict as Singapore where I’m from, if you go to the wrong direction/fail to listen to the examiner’s instruction, you can get an immediate failure(same as a major fault) and there is no leeway unless you get a nice examiner.
Passed with 1 minor on my 2nd attempt. These videos really helped me
I've noticed that in a lot of your videos, the learners pull up the hand brake when standing still, even if they're waiting for a round about or waiting for a green light. Is this a common thing to do in the UK? I would usually put it in neutral and keep a foot on the brake while waiting, or simply keep the clutch and the brake in at the same time until I'm ready to go.
I think the idea is that keeping the clutch down for a few moments (i.e. when traffic is stationary) can wear it out, hence we put the hand break up and let go of the clutch and footbreak. Plus we can rest our legs and feet.
@@InshasChoice Yeah, keeping your foot down on the clutch isn't good for your car! Can probably also say the same for the brake pedal. It's also safer to use your handbrake rather than just putting your foot down as there's no potential for you accidentally letting the brake go.
Plus you aren't sat on your brake lights blinding anyone behind you
my instructor said if your waiting somewhere for 3+ seconds its ideal to use the handbrake. It makes it easier to control your feet, doesn't keep the break light on which can dazzle others behind & less wear to your clutch. But if you think you'll go quickly then no need! I think as well its definitely easier for beginners/those with less experience as it helps with making sure everything else is ready to go, so all you need to do then is pop the handbrake down :)
I bought one of your shoes and they will arrive on Thursday! I cannot wait I am the biggest fan of you and your channel. Thank you for your vids
Thank you
Who else is planning on watching Clearview Driving after this?
I’ve just come from Clearview Driving 😁
Finally passed on Thursday with 2 minors in my own car, as my instructor wasn’t available. Couldn’t have done it without these vids :))
The bus fault wasn't harsh at all, thought she was still going to overtake after maybe 5 seconds of noticing, but waiting there until the bus leaves is ridiculous I'm not gonna lie, hesitation issue for sure, I used to be very hesitant, you just have to get over it, habits.
Passed my test today on my second attempt. Thanks for these videos.
At the end of the test when you guys are having the discussions and are speaking on specific parts, it would be helpful if you time stamp them in the video
Yes that would be great, or show a brief clip of the fault so don’t have to skip back to rewatch it

Finally passed my test yesterday!!! Super happy. Got pretty lucky with 9 minors, but we take them :)
4 days until my test, not at all nervous 😅
Me as well ! Good luck
You’ll be fine. Best piece of advise that helped me pass mine, drive as if you have your family in the car with you as safe as you can. Repeat the actions in your head while you are doing it and don’t be scared to ask the instructor to repeat the questions they ask. It should really help you avoid any serious faults and I’m sure pass your test. Good luck. 👍🏽
Good luck!
Good luck 🤞🏼
Good luck
Imagine failing your test because a bird hits your car and you get a serious for not observing the birds ahead of you
One thing i will always drill into learner drivers is don't be afraid to use your hand brake, at traffic light, on a hill or stopping. It's easier to use your hand brake the get your biting point to do a hill start as you dont have to rush from your brake to your accelerator
And it's also just safer in the case you get hit from behind while stationary (which most commonly happens at lights and junctions/roundabouts anyway).
Happy Easter Pin!

However, I didnt receive any news from the website, and i tried to contact the costumer service 3 times but seems your colleges maybe busy. 0:23 WARNING Jumpscare
I live in USA driving is not as hard as where you live. Wow I would fail the test there
you just have 15 min tests there and you can get your license already at 16-17 so dk about that 😂
ofc it's a little bit more challenging because most of us we are driving manual transmission so it's hard to learn everything at once ( to learn to control the car, where is the biting point on a clutch, to pay attention to other traffic participants, to learn the traffic signs ), but after you pass the test and drive everyday, everything is easy because of muscle memory, you don't even think about clutch anymore

Didnt know bruno fernandes is a instructor
my driving instructor told me i would fail if i didnt hit the bird flying towards the car
You should take people that been driving a long time and retest them to see if they would pass
Goodness gracious.
those driving shoes, the sole still looks way to chunky. im in the market for some new ones but my normal ones have been discontinued after 4 years 3 pairs but my 3rd pair nearly a few years old now and now cannot get then in my size. the sole on them is no more than 1/2cm if that, made of texture cloth material, very flexible and the feel i tell you that you can feel every stone pebble when walking in them and that the feel im after when buying a new pair almost like im not wearing any, just enough protection but no more and mad thing they were 12 pounds a pair. ive tried others with thin soles but they just are rubbish. so im stuck with a pair falling apart till i find more even if a few more years, two weeks in to learning to drive i changed to them shoes and found nothing better now cannot get
Serious flying fault for the bird, hope that other bird wasn't his examiner on a test.
My toxic trait is thinking I could easily pass the UK driving test even though I just passed the Dutch one🤣

how did it go?
If all these people can't drive must be a bad driving school and instructor.
(Sorry, long rant about something many driving instructors still keep doing (including Gracious' instructor, based on this video), that they really must stop!)
Quick note: I want to be very clear that this absolutely is not Gracious' fault. She has been taught a bad habit by her instructor, and like a good student, she learned to do what she was instructed to do. Students shouldn't have to know about driving before they start learning, but unfortunately, because of a rather shameful event in driving instructor history, you still have instructors getting students to dangerously misuse their handbrake, and those students don't know any better.
6:42 (trouble with the handbrake) - This demonstrates one of the many reasons why driving instructors need to stop this nonsense of telling learners to push the release button (clue is in the name) on the handbrake to apply it. The handbrake is a ratcheting system; when they teach you to press the button when applying the handbrake, you are actively fighting against a system which is there to help you. They teach you to use the steering correctly. They teach you to use the pedals correctly. So they need to stop teaching you to use the handbrake in an incorrect and dangerous manner!
This all started because some advanced instructors were fed up with hearing the noise of the handbrake being applied repeatedly through the day. They made recommendations that students be told to push the button when applying the handbrake, and it spread from there. Frankly, given their advanced driver status, they should have been ashamed of themselves. Somehow, misusing one of the common control systems in a car has become a staple of many driving instructors.
It absolutely does not wear out the mechanism if you don't press the button in. Nobody worries about wearing out the ratchet mechanism on a socket wrench. No sailor worries about wearing out the ratchet on the coffee grinders when adjusting sails. Nobody worries about wearing out the ratchet when walking through turnstiles at a leisure centre or stadium. No trucker worries about wearing out the ratchet on the straps they use to hold down a load on their trailer. No driver should worry about wearing out the ratchet on their handbrake when pulling the brake lever up. PULLING THE LEVER UP WITHOUT PRESSING THE BUTTON WILL NOT WEAR OUT THE RATCHET!
What it can do is cause you to not have enough pressure applied to the brakes when you leave the car (notice in the video how the lever drops down before Gracious releases the button). Or it can cause the locking pawl not be seated correctly between two ratchet teeth, and can slip after you leave the car. Additionally, having the locking pawl incorrectly positioned part way along a tooth on the ratchet rather than fully engaged puts pressure on the tooth in a manner it isn't designed to have to deal with. Repeatedly doing that over a prolonged time can cause the material to fatigue and break the tooth.
What does wear out the ratchet is not releasing the handbrake correctly. And strangely, I've come across more than a few driving instructors who don't teach their students how to release the handbrake. You don't just push the button. The system is under a lot of tension when the brake is set, so you pull the lever up to take the pressure off the locking pawl, and then press the button in. If you do this correctly, the button is really easy to press in, and the lever releases smoothly. If the button is difficult to push in, or you feel a "Clunk" when the button is pushed in, you didn't pull the lever up enough, and you were dragging the locking pawl against the ratchet. This does cause wear to both the locking pawl and ratchet tooth that was in use, and if done repeatedly over a prolonged period can cause the teeth on the ratchet to start breaking. Unfortunately, people blame the damage from not releasing the handbrake correctly (and the earlier mentioned misaligned locking pawl) on not pushing the button in when applying it, and just perpetuate this dangerous myth.
When learning I went through several driving instructors finding one I was satisfied would teach me properly. But I had been driving (racing on tracks, not illegally on the road) and doing mechanical work for years before I took driving lessons. The first instructor I had was with a guy who had a Vauxhall Corsa (a car I was pretty familiar with already), and the first time I applied the handbrake he chastised me for not pushing the button in. "If you push the button in to release it, you should push the button in to apply it" he said. After I insisted he read the section in his owners manual on applying the handbrake, which very specifically states you are not to push the button in when applying the handbrake, I asked him how I can have any confidence he can teach me to drive correctly, when he doesn't know how to apply the handbrake in his own car correctly? Of course, he got rather indignant at being called out by a student, and claimed the manufacturer was wrong about how to use the equipment provided in the vehicle they make. I ended the lesson immediately and looked for the next instructor.
Seriously, if your driving instructor tells you to push the button in when applying the handbrake, look up the owners manual for their car online and read the handbrake section. If it says not to push the button when applying the handbrake, ask your instructor why they are teaching something that conflicts with the directions of the manufacturer. If they claim the manufacturer is wrong, or that either method is fine, or get angry, find a new instructor!
How can you write the entire bible about the handbrake 🤣
@@benjimain6 Tbf the guy makes some good points
@@AKarrit That could be. I found it too long to read ^^
@@benjimain6 because it is an important subject. This terrible teaching practice has led to parked cars rolling, crashing into walls and other vehicles causing significant property damage. There have also been incidents involving people being injured and killed when a vehicle rolled away after parking, which potentially were caused by this practice of teaching people to use their handbrake incorrectly.
Driving instructors actually do this? That sounds so counter intuitive
They are very strict in driving test...but in reality a lot of drivers are not the following the rules anymore like example in 20mph road, some of them are driving 30mph or more. 🤦♂️
