The recooking cookies into new cookies is how we have made cookies for years. We usually make a few big batches of cookies when it starts coming into the holidays and there is almost always leftovers. Most of them get blitzed up and made into new cookies but we do still use some fresh stuff back in the mix. Basically half the normal ingredients and half of it in cookie dust. They turn out awesome and usually only ever get through 3 rounds of remaking before they start to disappear really fast.
The infinity cookie seems like a great way to upgrade storebought cookies left behind from a road trip/kid function for the grown ups to enjoy at the end of the day...
Finally! I’ve been staring at the towering mountain of Famous Amos cookies that’s spread across 5/7ths of my kitchen for the last 3 weeks thinking “ya know, I wish I knew how to eat those suckers”. Alvin to the rescue, I now get 71.4% of my kitchen back
@@JetstreamGW I was ordering my cookies in bulk (it was the first of the month) and while I was placing the order I sneezed. The sneeze was so hard my finger increased the quantity to “68 boxes” and hit “order now” in one smooth motion. All Famous Amos sales are final
Alvin, you should try taking the Gatorade and see if you can turn it into a form of cocktail syrup, then figure out a way to use the wine as a sauce for alligator; finally serving all of the above in the form of a traditional gatorwine with wined gator feast.
It's funny, because that is just normal for me - there are no graham crackers in Australia, so our cheesecake crusts are always made from biscuits (or cookies to those in the US).
No graham crackers?! I feel like they're a pretty neutral cookie that would be accepted all over the world. On a side note, y'all don't make s'mores then?
@@eansba88- In the UK, we often use digestive biscuits for cheesecakes (I know you guys recoil at the name), which are also pretty "neutral", unless they're the chocolate-covered ones. This is resourceful. Probably the only time I might consider doing this is if the cookie ingredients are more expensive than the cookies themselves, economic crisis, lockdown, etc.
I love seeing you go through all of the leftovers to create less food waste. I sometimes worry about how much stuff is getting wasted on "ranking" videos and this made me feel less bad. Content shouldn't create tons of waste.
You guys missed a big one in my opinion. Ice cream. Dana Cree has a book called “Hello, My Name is Ice Cream” and she has a donut ice cream recipe that is perfect for cookies.
The infinity cookies thing made me think of having a "cookie starter", like a sourdough starter, but like...a reserve of cookies made with the previous batch, added to the next batch, to continue the cycle over and over...
So called _”leftover cookies”_ implies that there would be a situation where not all cookies are eaten. It is an impossibility, it’s difficult to even imagine a scenario where something like that might occur. If cookies even have a chance of existing someplace, someone would be there to ingest them and do so hastily. Anyway, thanks for the recipes!
If only the video had opened with a clip of basically the only reasonable explanation for a team of people having more cookies than anyone knew what to do with, eh. That would have been much better.
Eat a bunch of them with a jar of milk and leave the consequences for the future. What I like to do is make a protein shake. Just add water/milk, banana, the cookies, some protein power (optional) and if you want it to be thicker go for milk and add ice until it's thick.
i love this so much Alvin, it's satisfying on so many levels; thank you. i hope we get to see more Adapting with Alvin going forward! don't stop being you, you wonderful human
I would never have seen the banana bread coming. I've run across the chocolate-covered banana thing from time to time, but never tried one. But I love both chocolate chip cookies and banana bread. I definitely have to try this one. Thanks Alvin!
I could totally see feeding the chocolate chip cookie pancakes to kids. The rest of the recipes were brilliant! I could absolutely see doing an ice cream cake with store bought chocolate chip cookies.
I'd love to see you guys do this again, like if you ever did anything with the peanut butter or some chocolate spread or some other thing. Basically, whatever's left over from what Babish ranks.
Cool idea for a video! My wife uses crushed oreos and white chocolate chips as an alternative to replace chocolate chips in her chocolate chip cookie recipe. It's her most requested dessert at get-togethers, and I believe it started as a way to use up clearance oreos she bought cheap, lol
I also think you could mix the soft cookies into the cream cheese filling to make it taste like even more cookie-flavored in place of the sugar to have a cookie taste throughout!
I like all the desserts you can make with a lot of Chocolate Chip Cookies! I like the Brookie idea, just subtract the Syrup and you have a perfectly sweet Brookie. Save the syrup for chocolate milk or Banana Splits. 🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪
Alvin... your tiramisu adaptation is next level awesome! I love everything about that. I will be trying it this coming weekend. Very creative and sounds so much better than the usual ladyfingers. The trick now is seeing if I have friends to come over and help me eat it. LOL

The infinity cookie should have started off at a lower temp to build a proper footprint then the later half of baking a higher temp to complete baking, looks fantastic
If you're lazy (like me) and don't feel like going to the trouble of making a whole cheesecake, you can make mini ones in a cupcake pan, and drop a cookie in the bottom of each cupcake paper to be the "crust"
The crew could have taken all those cookies home, but they wouldn't have been as tasty as what Alvin created! I love the tiramisu idea, I'd considering doing that but with some sort of chocolate mixture instead of the coffee.
