Speaking for myself, I wouldn't use the term "nostalgic" in describing the '80's and '90's. Granted, there are certain aspects of both decades which I appreciate and would prefer we still had. However, as one who is more a product of the '70's, my "nostalgia" is decidedly pre-1981. I always tell people that I was never in the "prime demographic", even when I was 18-34. Then again, I have been called an old soul. Having said that, as I mentioned above, there are certain aspects of the '80's and '90's which I do appreciate. For instance, I enjoy your program ("Blossom"), "Boy Meets World" and "The Wonder Years" (with Ben Savage's brother, Fred), among others, because many of the issues addressed apply regardless of time. But, I also enjoy "M*A*S*H" (1972-83), "The Walton's" (1972-81), "All in the Family"/"Archie Bunker's Place" (1971-83), "Diff'rent Strokes" (1978-86), "The Facts of Life" (1979-88) (with which you were also involved), "Quincy, M.E." 1976-82), "Dallas" (1978-91) and "The Love Boat" (1976-86), to name a few. (Interestingly enough, each of these programs, which aired during the '80's and or '90's, actually started during the '70's. Do you notice a theme?) Again, however, my relationship with the '80's and '90's (and the decades since) has always been, for lack of a better word, strained. It's difficult for one to feel "nostalgic" for a time in which one never actually belonged. With certain exceptions, such as those mentioned above, we're talking about five decades (the '80's, '90's, 2000's, 2010's and 2020's) which, for the most part, have seemed inauthentic and elaborate. To be sure, the rampant commercialism of these decades hasn't helped matters. On the other hand, if recent trends are to be taken as any indication, we hopefully seem to finally be starting to get away from that and heading back to something more genuine and simple. Of course, only time will tell.
Buffy Vampire Slayer. 90210. Blossom. Perfect Strangers. Growing Pains. Please interview Sarah Michelle Geller and any 90210 cast. Your tv bro. Joey Lawrence would be awesome also. Love listening to your podcast. Thank you! Longtime Canadian fan!
It’s so weird to think about Danielle having physical insecurities because I’ve always thought she was physically perfect, even after her body changed.
I was excited about this podcast since I grew up with the show and been listening to Pod Meets World, but it’s too bad Danielle totally missed the point and big lesson of that “fat” episode and only focused only on the absurdity parts. The lesson was that everyone has physical flaws and insecurities and that Corey would always love her no matter what her weight. Also that Erik wasn’t being serious when he called fat but she thought he was.
Danielle is the kind of person you want as your best friend. I have always loved her personality! She’s pretty and smart, and seems so much fun to hang out with.
I loved this interview, Danielle was so open and honest about herself and her past relationships and therapy. I love this self assuredness and self reflection.
I don't know if Danielle is misremembering the "fat" episode, or if she mostly remembers how it brought up insecurities (understandably) for her. It's actually one of my favourite episodes. It horrifies me that she was told that there was going to be an episode to address her weight gain... That's not even what happens in story line. No one, but Topanga herself, sees her as fat. It is meant to give a body positive message, it's just done in a very 90's sort of way. It's not that anyone thinks that she looks pregnant, it's the combination of her struggling to zip up the pants she's wearing and saying that she feels nauseous, and Shawn jumping to conclusions. Great things about the episode: 1: She doesn't decide to starve herself, she comes up with a healthy eating plan. 2: Eric tells Cory that if he can't support the changes in her body, that he should stay away from her (Cory's freaking out that she's "pregnant", but Eric knows that she wants to lose weight and is struggling). 3: Once Cory knows the truth, he's baffled as to why she'd want to go on a diet. 4: Eric confesses that he only said, "Yes," when she asked him if she was fat, so that he could eat her pizza. 😆 5: Mr. Feeny says, "Unfortunately, we live in a society where they tell us we have to look a certain way, so we're all under pressure to live up to unrealistic expectations." I hope Danielle knows that she always was, and still is, STUNNING!
Yes, thank you. My exact thoughts when she was talking. Eric was like, "You're not fat. You're hot!" And the other girls talked about how they were jealous of her body and had their own insecurities. I'm sad she felt attacked while making that episode. We all thought she was the most gorgeous thing to walk the earth.
All facts. Thank you both. I forgot the details but also didn't remember the episode being that negative. I definitely remember laughing at the I just wanted to eat your pizza line. And yes, Danielle Fishel has always been stunningly beautiful.
i'm sure it was probably all the behind the scenes stuff that had the real impact on how she felt about that episode. being told she was letting them down cuz of her weight. clearly that was just her natural body after growing into adulthood. she wasn't the standard in hollywood because it's got unhealthy and unfair standards. it's sad that when i was young i was thought she was so beautiful but i also had that thought 'she looks like a real woman!' truth is she's probably more thin than the average american woman.
@@doublefeatureit makes more sense when you realize she was only 18 in tbat episode even though her character was supposed to be 20. And I believe her about being a size 4. If you look at her from the waist down, she's not that big. She's just very large chested and that season was when she finally fully developed. A large chest can make you look a lot bigger than you are.
Yes! That's what it was. It wasn't like omg she gained weight! It was ok she's gaining weight, nauseous, moody( I believe too), acting very out of character. So they jumped to conclusions. Basic sitcom misunderstanding 101! Lol I also thought she tried getting Eric to exercise with her or act like he was the one asking for the dieting tips? Idk I just remember it being about BOTH of them gaining weight. For Topanga: she's pregnant📣 🤰 Eric: just a loveable goofball that loves to eat🤪🍟🍔 I thought that double narrative was interesting. I'm pretty sure they meant to point that out! That show was so ahead of it's time. I almost think it would do better now. Lol it was very positive for younger people when nothing else really was at that time!
She's a surprisingly healthy person mentally, dodged most of the bullets in the industry and has awesome parents. Her and her folks are the poster family of how it can work.
You don't know that. Most of you seem like you're healthy mentally, and then you show yourself eventually. Look at how wide her eyes get and how fast she talks. She's batshit crazy. 😂
I don't know about being a poster perfect person...how exhausting... These women give the talent of the Earth, how awesome of them. I would love Cheryle Burke on your show. People always think women can give and give to men when it is tiring. Having numerous women stand up for you over other women has to be tiring. Like Matt Lawrence and his buddies. I'd die of exhaustion keeping up with all that and women defending these men constantly, even myself. Men in reality don't want you to defend them, so stop. These people aren't or have to be inherently bad people, but I'm not nor should any woman stand up for a man or a person who doesn't want that. Let these people speak for themselves and I can only hope they lead other women in the right direction....
This is an incredible conversation. Danielle is such an eloquent speaker and engaging storyteller. She is so open, and insightful. There are so many gems here for women. Love this!
I remember Topanga in the “fat” episodes on BMW. I stopped watching the show around that time but also remember thinking this wasn’t something I thought Topanga would say.
I loved this!! I am Danielle’s age almost exactly and I grew up up thinking she was soo beautiful. She literally looks the same and hasn’t changed. She looks amazing and I loved the conversation you guys had
OMG thank you for this, I really needed this episode. I have had similar experiences when giving birth with my son and hated myself and body for a long time... and to be honest still do... but hearing this has really helped me heal. Hearing two of my favorite idols throughout my life talking about yall's struggles in life and during child births means so much for me. I can't thank y'all enough for this episode.
I loved Topanga and thought she was the coolest girl on TV, it’s a shame that the studio didn’t see it that way. She was so different, such a personality, her gorgeous hair, I never thought of her weight. I adored her on Girl Meets World, it was such a treat to see her in that years later with my own girl.
I noticed that she wasn’t skinny and I loved it. She was a total knockout and also she was so outspoken!!! She was kind but she was never afraid to speak her mind.
The two of you need to do a weekly Podcast and talk about world events and the entertainment industry. Very good talk! the two of you feed off of each other really well. it would be a hit, I guarantee it!
The short clips are what brought me to this episode. I have so much appreciation for Danielle Fishel’s vulnerability and how she shares her experience in such a grounded way. 🙌❤️🙏
I LOVED Danielle on Boy meets World. She is a spitting image of my best friend and i always felt like I “knew her”. I got to know so much more about her and love her even more. Thank you Mayim for this interview!
My favorite episode was the one where she drew a heart on her face with lipstick. As a young girl going through my parents’ bad divorce and moving many times, this show was everything for me. Literally tearing up writing this comment. As an adult pursuing my career as an actress in Los Angeles, I wish to someday work with Danielle Fishel! She is such an inspiration to me. ❤❤❤❤
mayim!! your reaction to her lance bass story is absolutely hilarious! you two were like teenagers chatting about the boys you liked. i love love love this cool bonding moment you two shared.
I grew up watching Blossom and boy meets world. I was extremely excited as 30 years old knowing that girl meets world was on t.v. I was also a fan of full house and I must say all you girls have inspired me through different moments of my life. All you girls and grown women are still AMAZING!! Please stay amazing ❤🎉
If I said this was a really good conversation, it would be a weak description. Think, "really good conversation," times one-hundred or a thousand. Thanks for sharing.
There is something so real about 90s actors. I might not have seen them in newer stuff but I’m like “yeah I’ll take your life advice because I know you probably had to fight and struggle”. Idk what it is but I was so excited, yet nervous but immediately clicked when I saw that title.
I love this episode. I can 100% relate to the only child comment Danielle made. This is why I just had my second 5 years after our first. My boys will have each other always. I can’t say the same. Thank you!
Loved this episode! Danielle is so right that it’s very important to eliminate the stigma and silence around miscarriage. It is more common than people realize. And a D&C, one of the healthcare procedures for miscarriage, is abortion healthcare. It can sometimes be necessary to save the pregnant person’s life and also to protect their future fertility.
She looks EXACTLY the same. How is that even possible? And looks naturally as beautiful as on boy meets world. I’m so excited to hear this episode, I’ve never actually seen her on anything. 💜
GEN Xer here! I love your channel!! I'm 49 years old (be 50 this year😂) and have watched you on TV since you started. You're phenomenal!! You have the best people on your RUclips!! ❤ God Bless!!
I learned a lot through this conversation. Danielle explaining how she picked men is really relatable to me. ❤️❤️. I also studied psychology (part of the control piece).
At least two boys I "liked" in junior high and high school came out. And then I came out later in life. Turns out I "liked" them because they were actually nice and hung out with us girls. In 5th or 6th grade, I decided that I needed to crush on a boy in class like all the other girls, so I made a list of all of them with pros and cons and narrowed it down to the one I would "like". Shockingly, I was also diagnosed with autism as an adult.
❤ I love how this felt like two girlfriends just sitting down to chat over coffee! ☕ And Mayim, considering the things you didn't get the chance to ask her about, it seems pretty clear that we'll just need a part 2! 😃
Great conversation! So nostalgic. I want Danielle to know that I watched Boy Meets World while it was current! It was popular to me! TGIF was such a staple to my Friday nights. And I watched reruns so often. I’m now 40 and a mother of 2, and I STILL will sometimes throw on Boy Meets World as a comfort show 😂🎉🎉 AND….I watched Blossom growing up too and loved it so much. And the reruns were a comfort show for me during the summers when I’d be folding laundry for my mom :) so nostalgic!
I love that danielle is so down to earth and love her fans. And hasn't gone off the deep end acting crazy. She's the best role model for women and so great! You can tell she always remembers where she came from and how she was raised as a great person. ❤ love boy meets world. Topanga never took anyones crap on the show.
Wow!! Your husband just described everything I feel about my life for the last 20 years. Except I had a brother and lost him 20 years ago when he was 31. So I mean EXACTLY!! Down to the "who will I say remember when to?" Wow I'm just beside myself. I never thought anyone would understand. I know we're not besties but still knowing my fears and thoughts are validated is just something that helps a bit. Thank you for sharing that Danielle!!
After all of the talk about sharing things with your mom, I’d love a Bev-isode focused on this episode. I’m sure Bev’s comments would be great. I know Jonathan was joking about a Blossom rewatch podcast, but I’d watch that every week if it were a real thing
I love Danielle’s realization that seeing your life from the main characters perspective but then realizing the story and role you play in other peoples lives. How they are the main character of their story and the blip you star in their life story.
Wow. I loved this. I am one of the people who found Boy Meets World on rerun (because we didn’t have a TV in my house when I was a kid more than my own age) and absolutely adored it. This was so nostalgic for me. And probably the only podcast/video of this length that I’ve watched from beginning to end, because Danielle caught my attention with her story-telling from the beginning. This was great. 😊
I loved this one. Struck by great mother daughter relationship and your use of the word ‘louder’ when talking about sibling relationships. I so much enjoy you as a person. ❤❤❤
OMG Danielle 😍❤ im suprised that she's the guest when i was waiting for new ep on my spotify.. its really great that you have her here in this podcast 😁 I got to know her more and learned so much in this episode! 😊 Thank you MBB Team! 🫶🏻
I recorded the audio of the first season of Boy Meets World on to cassette tape, and then listened to them at my job in my Walkman. I know that whole season off by heart. So fun to see Daniele as an adult and hear some of her story. Thanks for this!😊 Ps: I just love it when you reflect on what it was like to be a teen girl in the 90s, the way it was normal to be treated the way we were which would boggle kids today, and the language we lacked. So affirming.
I just want to say thank you to “Boy Meets World” and “ Blossom “ cause I related to both Topanga and Blossom on so many levels. You were my child/teenage hood mentors and I don’t think I would have survived without either one of your characters. Love you and thank you for keeping me alive.
I was a big fan of Danielle already but Pod Meets World she's so great doing Pod Meets World and I've learned so much from her, Ryder, and Will. This is a great interview! I rewatched Boy Meets World during quarantine for the first time since it first aired and it really hits different as an adults, especially the Feeny lessons.
OMG! This lance story reminded me of NSYNC concert I went to and Danielle was in the special square box seats!!! And I was so super excited to point her out. Holy cow!
It's amazing to hear the women I desperately wanted to be growing up (I'm in the same age group as both of these amazing women) talk about how they struggled with body image the same way I struggled. You both are amazing & I adored BOTH of you back in the day but you both are so much more amazing now!! Thank you for sharing these experiences!!
Mayim… I watch all of your podcasts. You and I are the same age. I’ve watched you through our childhood and now into adulthood on this show. You are so refreshing to me. Your intellect, the way you consider your thoughts and words…I completely follow and am always so intrigued and locked in. Thank you for asking the questions that matter. We are such incredibly complex humans in our emotions, thoughts, actions and spiritual compass. I went through becoming a widow when my sons were 1 & 4, and I made a choice to try and get my emotional, physical, spiritual and mental self functioning at its highest capacity, in order to not only survive, but thrive and ensure my sons would not be traumatized from my actions within grief and the loss of their father. Watching your shows feels like I’m still ensuring all of those pieces are met and nurtured. Thank you. Truly. You’re also incredibly comical with an intelligent humor and that is also so supportive. Thank you for your mind and your heart, as it’s so clear you deeply want to help and be curious. I wish more of us would ask more questions and be more curious in place of judgmental. Keep soaring! I’m watching and so grateful! ❤
My grandma went on to have 3 more kids after 2 miscarriages, so it is possible. The universe has a way of working out where what’s meant to be, will be. Your journey is yours and is meant only for you.
What a beautiful interview. My heart would just SOAR if my daughters spoke of me the way Danielle speaks of her mother. I wish there was still room for real people in Hollywood like the old days.
Fantastic interview. Great questions. The cadence and tone of the interview was perfect. I love Mayim’s reactions to the stories which matched my own feelings when Danielle was recounting everything from dating Lance Bass to the birth story. Danielle is definitely a funny and engaging story-teller. Just - a wonderful episode.
I have gained so much insight and just pure bliss watching these two talk. Had no idea I how much I would love hearing this; I want to see them do it again.
Wow. You know when you watch a TV show and your like this person is so fun and sweet. Then you hear the horror stories about them behind the scenes. Well I gotta say Danielle really is an articulate, down to earth, genuine person. Hollywood and fame didn't go to her head. I have much respect for her. I learned alot about her and from her. For example not judging yourself in front of your children. I never thought about that. I wish I did though. It's too late now cause my kids are grown but I will be sharing this to my daughter to break the cycle for when she has kids. Thank you I really enjoyed the video.
Wow! I think this just might be my favorite interview yet. I am a huge fan of you both and all your discussions were so much fun. I actually am Mayim's age, but my husband and I got married at 21 and in our broke newlywed days we would program our VCR to record TGIF so I feel like I still grew up on the last few season's of Boy Meets World. This past summer I discovered Pod Meets World on RUclips and was sad to discover they stopped sharing them here. I'll have to go track down the episodes from where they left off. Thanks ladies for a fun evening. I work from home so this is the closest thing I get to girl talk lately. ❤
Gosh she looks like she hasn't hardly aged at all, and shes in her 40s now! I am only a few years older than Danielle and i remember always thinking she was perfection, and she still is. She has no idea the number of us who just thought she was amazing.
I feel like her relationship with her mother is a big reason that she has such self confidence. I'm hoping, as I'm trying to that same type of mother to my daughter and hope she turns out as great as Danielle. I've loved both Mayim and Danielle since i was a kid and love that they're both doing the podcast thing now.
I really enjoy the insightful after interview discussions between Jonathan and Mayim, and the way Mayim ties the experiences of the celebrity to us “regular” 😊folks because we aren’t all that different. Sometimes I am disheartened at the mistakes (20/20 hindsight) I have made living my life and then especially raising my kids but most of us our doing the best we can and as my mom always said, “If it’s not one thing it’s another…” which used to make us kids so frustrated but now we realize that it’s true.
I remember having such a crush on Danielle back in '94 when I was only 12 but knew she was gorgeous. She's still stunningly beautiful (inside & out). Great content 😊
This is absolutely one of my favorite episodes you’ve done. Love how down to earth and real she is and I’m certain her mom is a big part of that. Loved this too much.
Not that it’s important to anyone else, but I thought Topanga was stunning when I was growing up watching her. I grew right along with her, and I grew curves and a more womanly body. When I saw someone in the mainstream media who finally wasn’t rail thin but still undeniably gorgeous, it made me somehow feel more beautiful too. I’m so sorry she was mistreated the way she was, but I hope she knows that I’m sure I’m far from the only one who felt and feels this way. 💜
This was a great interview. I am glad she seems so well adjusted and had such a great time. Its always great to see the real human behind the role is having a great experience.
I’ve always loved Danielle! She was a staple in my childhood. I rewatched boy meets world a few years ago and could tell the last few season were rough. However she has always been a shining light and hearing her speak as an adult is so powerful!
Omg this was the best and I hope one day my relationship with my daughters is as strong and open as Danielle’s and her mother. Loved this interview soooooo much! Huge fans of you both!❤
Thank you, Mayim! You are so refreshing. There are very few people I follow, but your intelligence and ability to relate to others is truly awe inspiring. Also, I love Danielle. This was so wonderful and I appreciate the authenticity of you both. Please do more of these with Danielle.
I wonder if the newer generations have this same nostalgia when it comes to TV shows. I was born in the mid 80s and the shows were connected to more than just shows. It meant my sister and I had come home from school. It meant we had finished our dinner and homework or that mom was making dinner. It meant we had two minutes to go to the bathroom or get a snack during the commercials. It meant you had to wait until tomorrow or a week from now to see what happened next.
This was an awesome episode. I loved listening to Danielle. She is such a positive well spoken person . Also, can you please have Joey Lawrence or all of the Lawrence brothers on? Thank you.
I was obsessed with Topanga. I loved how she styled her hair. I even remembered getting NY hair cut like hers. Not to mention, there will never be another TV couple like Cory & Topanga!!!!
I love how real Danielle is!! I also appreciate greatly how many large topics are covered but I still feel like I’m listening into a tea session, if that makes sense lol.
I love this episode so much! Danielle and Mayim seemed to be able to have such an authentic conversation. I laughed, I reflected, I felt both sad for and proud of them both. Very well done
Wow.. I loved this.. especially the birth story and miscarriage talk.. I lost my baby at 30 weeks and I while I was an absolute mess listening to her, it does feel like I’m not alone when other women talk about it. It always seems like the people around me have such an easy time. I’ve had a miscarriage and a stillborn. ❤ you are not alone
Does BOY MEETS WORLD hold a nostalgic feeling for you, too? What are some other shows from the 80's/90's that have the same effect? 👀

Danielle, you have aged better than 95% of Hollywood without all the changes to yourself. You are an inspiration to us all, beauty and brains. 💕
Facts.
Yes, I cannot get over that we are the same age. She looks so much better than I do.
Big reason why... didn't completely mess herself up with stuff thinking would look better
fr i seen the thumbnail like god damn she hot asf
Aging better than Jennifer Aniston, which is insane to me
It’s so weird to think about Danielle having physical insecurities because I’ve always thought she was physically perfect, even after her body changed.
You'll be surprised how many attractive ppl feel insecure.
❤❤ I wanted to look like her so bad

@@Misbehavedcollection She was and still is beautiful!!!!
Exactly!!! She is still hot!!! WTF is wrong with these women!?
Couldn't click fast enough for this conversation! You two are a huge part of this Gen Xer's teen years. Much love and admiration for you both!
I totally agree
SAME I mean 3 days late, but I saw it & was like I gotta watch it
How about they are just apart of our life not this goofy gen this gen that crap
I agree!!! These two were such positive role models for me growing up. And now I am even more inspired by them now that we are all older. ❤

Danielle is like one of the prettiest natural beauties I have ever seen, always has been. Loved this conversation between Mayim and Danielle
She will forever have the BEST hair! ❤❤
She always had full of thick hair 😩 😊
Yes!!! I’ve always been sooo jealous! She still has gorgeous hair and is soooo beautiful!!
Best hair, smile, body… really the whole package.

Basic sitcom misunderstanding 101! Lol I also thought she tried getting Eric to exercise with her or act like he was the one asking for the dieting tips? Idk I just remember it being about BOTH of them gaining weight. For Topanga: she's pregnant📣 🤰
Eric: just a loveable goofball that loves to eat🤪🍟🍔
I thought that double narrative was interesting.
I remember growing up with this show, I always wondered at the time about the nature of her and the sexualizatuon as time went on
You don't know that. Most of you seem like you're healthy mentally, and then you show yourself eventually. Look at how wide her eyes get and how fast she talks. She's batshit crazy. 😂
*Her & her fam...
@@Ultamami noted and corrected
Love this!
Yes!!!!!!
Literally, I'm 70, and Topanga impacted my life way back then. What a pleasure to see her here. Thanks😊
Whoa… you’re too old for that my guy… You were looking at a child. Fn perv 😂😂😂😂
This seventy year old totally agrees!
My favorite thing Danielle has done was The Dish. She was hilaaaaaaaaarious. Her comic delivery is so on point. She's under appreciated imo.
The Dish! Oh my god, I forgot all about that show! You just unlocked a memory for me 😂😂
*underappreciated, 1 word
😉
I remember Topanga in the “fat” episodes on BMW. I stopped watching the show around that time but also remember thinking this wasn’t something I thought Topanga would say.
Yeah! I know everyone has insecurities and all that but Topenga was a very strong minded girl which was amazing.
I adored her on Girl Meets World, it was such a treat to see her in that years later with my own girl.
me too. And I wanted to look exactly like her❤❤
I noticed that she wasn’t skinny and I loved it.
Great conversation.
This is so wholesome ❤
I would totally watch it ❤

The short clips are what brought me to this episode. I have so much appreciation for Danielle Fishel’s vulnerability and how she shares her experience in such a grounded way. 🙌❤️🙏
🙌🙌🙌
I LOVED Danielle on Boy meets World. She is a spitting image of my best friend and i always felt like I “knew her”. I got to know so much more about her and love her even more. Thank you Mayim for this interview!
Im so glad you mentioned women feeling like their bodies betray them. Mothers especially feel this.
Uggghhhh, I was going to bed when I saw this and then clicked. And now here I am almost 2 hours past my bedtime. I loved me some TGIF ❤️
mayim!! your reaction to her lance bass story is absolutely hilarious! you two were like teenagers chatting about the boys you liked. i love love love this cool bonding moment you two shared.
These two women are seriously so unbelievably gorgeous and wicked smart. Loved this exchange. Thank you
I grew up watching Blossom and boy meets world.

@@MayimBialikdid bonnie Morgan play samara in the movie rings?
i agree ... love it ...and am guy .. no am not gay hahahahaha .... love that part haha
@@moderator7169I believe Daveigh Chase played Samara
Another great one Mayim!! So many guests really connect with you and it shows. One of the reasons I love these. Thank you again.
She looks EXACTLY the same. How is that even possible? And looks naturally as beautiful as on boy meets world. I’m so excited to hear this episode, I’ve never actually seen her on anything. 💜
I forgot that she was an adult and that time passed for a minute lol
GEN Xer here! I love your channel!! I'm 49 years old (be 50 this year😂) and have watched you on TV since you started. You're phenomenal!! You have the best people on your RUclips!! ❤ God Bless!!
Me too. Turn 50 in September. 😅
Thats awesome!!! :)

I learned a lot through this conversation. Danielle explaining how she picked men is really relatable to me. ❤️❤️. I also studied psychology (part of the control piece).
I need PART 2 pleaseeeeeee! Loveeed it. She is very open to talk and she is so self confident, it's inspiring!!!
Danielle and her mom are such geniune people. This interview was so fun to watch. It’s refreshing to see child stars grow up and thrive as adults ❤
❤ I love how this felt like two girlfriends just sitting down to chat over coffee! ☕ And Mayim, considering the things you didn't get the chance to ask her about, it seems pretty clear that we'll just need a part 2! 😃
I know, I love their energy.
Great conversation! So nostalgic. I want Danielle to know that I watched Boy Meets World while it was current! It was popular to me! TGIF was such a staple to my Friday nights. And I watched reruns so often. I’m now 40 and a mother of 2, and I STILL will sometimes throw on Boy Meets World as a comfort show 😂🎉🎉
AND….I watched Blossom growing up too and loved it so much. And the reruns were a comfort show for me during the summers when I’d be folding laundry for my mom :) so nostalgic!
Thank you for interviewing Danielle Fishel I always liked her!
I love that danielle is so down to earth and love her fans. And hasn't gone off the deep end acting crazy. She's the best role model for women and so great! You can tell she always remembers where she came from and how she was raised as a great person. ❤ love boy meets world. Topanga never took anyones crap on the show.
Just hearing her name in Ben Savage’s voice, “Topppanga!” 😂❤
For a former homeschooler the "I have no idea what the bases are" bit of the conversation really hit home.
We need another one with Danielle! This episode was by far one of the best ones! ❤❤❤
Thank You so much for interviewing Danielle Fishel!!❤❤
Danielle hasn't aged a bit! I've always thought she was so pretty. LOVED Boy Meets World 🙃
I love Danielle’s realization that seeing your life from the main characters perspective but then realizing the story and role you play in other peoples lives.
9:31 Possibly the best nugget out of this interview. Good for Danielle for having this so young. It can take a lifetime to learn this simple truth.
Thanks for this!😊
Ps: I just love it when you reflect on what it was like to be a teen girl in the 90s, the way it was normal to be treated the way we were which would boggle kids today, and the language we lacked.
Mayim, your reaction to Danielle's story about dating Lance _sent me._ You reminded me so much of my sister's godmother. I love it 😂😂❤❤
Topanga was my very first tv crush. Thank you for making the 90's memorable with Boy Meets World! ❤️
Her mother and her OB sound amazing. Incredible interview!!
Thank you so much for this!!! ‘81 baby here so this hit home. Great interview 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
81' here also❤
‘87..! To ‘97, to ‘00, lol. I was 10 & 13 back in those years 😅😏😳🫠
81 here too. Graduated in 99, it was a great time
This is dope! Wow Blossom & Topanga! All of my friends and I had teen crushes on you guys. Gen X! The nostalgia is real!
Yet another fascinating conversation. Really enjoyed the dialogue between the 3 of you in today’s episode. REALLY enjoyed it!
Thank you for sharing so much and giving us hope after miscarriage. I've had 2 and I'm so afraid to try again.
My grandma went on to have 3 more kids after 2 miscarriages, so it is possible. The universe has a way of working out where what’s meant to be, will be. Your journey is yours and is meant only for you.
Absolutely loved the dynamic between you two. Great conversations❤
Danielle is beautiful inside and out. She's so grounded, learned things about her that she never talked about even on Pod Meets World.
This is a perfect podcast DUO. I think you both had such a great conversation I could listen week after week!
Topanga!!! This brings me back to adolescence. Did she find the fountain of youth? She looks the same
Nah, she looks pretty weathered with age.
Mom: You can tell me ANYTHING.
Mom at restaurant: *Maybe not over lunch*
What a great woman to keep you so grounded. ❤❤
This is a dream come true as a child of the 80s!
This was such a good interview/conversation!!! I LOVED it and the part about relationships and therapy really resonated with me. Thank you!
I ❤ Tapanga she was the main reason i watched boy meets world as a kid... That and i had a major crush on Eric 😅
pretty sure that was in purpose lol
I remember having such a crush on Danielle back in '94 when I was only 12 but knew she was gorgeous. She's still stunningly beautiful (inside & out). Great content 😊
Thank you for sharing Mayim and Danielle. I always saw myself in Topanga's charactor. A girl that was unique and okay with it.
Yes! It was an experience more than anything!
This was an awesome episode. I loved listening to Danielle. She is such a positive well spoken person .
Also, can you please have Joey Lawrence or all of the Lawrence brothers on? Thank you.
I am somewhere between both of their ages and watched both shows. I was engaged throughout the entire episode. Well done 👏
My 1st TV crush growing up was Toepenga and I find Danielle is still absolutely gorgeous to this day.
Therapy session, thank yall. Yall helped me understand something I’ve been struggling with. ❤❤
I love this episode so much! Danielle and Mayim seemed to be able to have such an authentic conversation. I laughed, I reflected, I felt both sad for and proud of them both. Very well done
I feel like I have a better understanding of women's relationship with their bodies. I always assumed they experience it like I do.
Thanks for this.
