Actually isopods do not have a nervous system that fires neurons back to the brain. So while cutting them up would cause a reaction they do not feel pain and as such this is humane. Isopods are the most primitive life forms on the planet and they consist of a basic brain and system but they know nothing other than to eat and mate.

idk how many times i have to say already but a lot of people are quite uninformed about how the preparation of crustacean for human consumption works, i believe theres a specific bacteria that infects the meat of crustacean once they have been killed so cooking it alive decrease the risk and is the safest options for human consumption
Actually isopods do not have a nervous system that fires neurons back to the brain. So while cutting them up would cause a reaction they do not feel pain and as such this is humane. Isopods are the most primitive life forms on the planet and they consist of a basic brain and system but they know nothing other than to eat and mate.
