Hey man, I saw ACDC in their absolute prime with Bon Scott on vocals. They were in Corpus Christi TX in June 1979 and Sept 1979. I've been to alot of concerts but Angus in his prime tops everyone. Please check out Walk all over you!! RIP BON SCOTT AND MALCOLM!!
@@simplyhuman3982 Same here - I was so excited when I thought Polo was going to see Bon and the boys do one of their classics! Nothing against Brian Johnson, I just think Bon was the best frontman ever.

Saw them in 74 at my school dance. Not long after, they exploded all over the World. I've grown up with this music and I'll always love it. So many albums and great tracks to explore. Welcome. Next track: Shoot To Thrill.
You do realize the crowd is screaming ANGUS ANGUS at the beginning of the song for the lead guitarist Angus Young!!!!! These ppl want the one and only to start rocking out ASAP!!!!! They know what they want!!!!! So says Austin Tx!!!!!! 😎🍸
This is 2nd lead singer Brian in his 70s here ,lobe him sounds like donald duck on steriods!! Bon Scott the OG singer rip ..check out same song with og
I stood 4 feet from Angus Young and Bon Scott as they played this song during their first American appearance at The Armadillo World Headquarters in Austin, Texas, 1977.The stage was only 3' high and there was no barrier. Might have been 1000 people there including the beer garden outside.
I appreciated your comment on their ages. Brian Johnson,(lead singer) is 75,,Angus Young,(lead guitar) is 68, Malcolm Young sadly passed in 2017 at 64 years old, guitar, I dont know about the other members but they are also amazing at what they do. Its like people say about wine, it gets better with age. Sadly a lot of bands dont handle the aging well but these guys certainly have done remarkably well. Cheers to the older Rockers 🤘🤘❣❣🤘🤘
I saw them for the first time in 1979 with the late great Bon Scott - the BEST version of this amazing band. BTW, Angus works like that for 2+ hours every fucking night!
AC/DC is an AWESOME Band, thank you for this reaction. Some other tracks from them i'd recommend (Yes I am old) would be Hells bells, long way to the top (one of the few songs in Rock to use bagpipes, ) Highway to hell! Thunderstruck!- Tyler Oh BTW the story behind their name- their sister took it from the tag on a sewing machine- is how I heard it
Everything on the Back in Black album is great, with my favorite being "You Shook Me All Night Long". Although I knew who AC/DC was back in the late 70's, it was my best friend's Dad that got me hooked. Found him jamming to AC/DC while working as the janitor of our high school. It opened up a whole new world of music for me.
I seen them after back and black was released they did a tour .The lead singer but Angus on his shoulders and carried him through the audience the place was going crazy.

Polo my man, so you’ve discovered the mighty AC/DC! The best blues based rock n roll band of all time, imo,Sir, you have got to listen to the original line up with , the one and only, Bon Scott on vocals! A great album to check out would be the 1978 live album titled “If You Want Blood You Got It”, nothing compares to the energy of this band live! Thank you, you’re welcome and enjoy!
@@brianmedlen3645 Yes , you are correct sir! However, I’ve not ever heard Dave Evans on an album or EP for that matter, which is why I have always considered Bon to be the original. But imo,Bon was surely the best vocalist and frontman the band ever had, not to take away from Brian Johnson, I just prefer Bon!
AC/DC have two sounds - Bon Scott or Brian Johnson. Other than that their sound and style has a consistency that fans have found a strength over many years. Bon Scott was their first major singer in their early years they had at least one other before Bon but that’s rarely mentioned because it was before their fame really took off. Traditionally most of the band are Australians so us Aussies claim them as one of our biggest successes. My request is Highway to Hell - the original Bon Scott recording or live with Bon.
"Most of the band" haven't been born in Australia ever. When they shot the video for Can I Sit Next to You Girl the singer was born in Wales, the rhythm and lead guitarists in Scotland When they played Baby Please Don't Go on Countdown the only Australian-born members were Mark Evans and Phil Rudd. Yes your absolutely right the whole audience was waiting for this it's what you call a iconic AC/DC track I know if it's played in my local the place erupts the place is kicking.
I was a part of a small local band, doing lights and sound for them, and they had a couple of concerts that went way beyond in terms of how keyed up and in tune the crowd was to the band. When you get that kind of night it makes all the tough times worth it. Band and crowd feed off each others' energy and it really shows in how a group like AC/DC are really enjoying their time on stage, even at their age. Fantastic.
One of the best rock bands that ever played. Great live band and loud. It took me two days to hear again. I loved it. Top five shows i ever saw. RIP Malcolm forever a fan. For those about to rock we salute you.
Timeless! The definitive rock and roll band. Been to their concert and every song is 110% high energy. You leave there feeling spent and with your ears ringing for a few hours. If some one where to ask me to describe what rock and roll is, I'd say listen to AC/DC. As relevant today as they where 45 years ago. There were over 80K people at that show. They did 3 shows and every one was sold out totalling around 250K people in total from that city that went to watch them. If they toured again today, they would still sell out every venue.
Man...I was born in the right era.......was privileged enough to see these guys seven times,....first time way back in '77 in a small venue in Colchester, England with only 200 in the audience to the last time in front of 60,000 and every time they just gave 200% rock n roll. With both singers they were just awesome 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
To AC/DC fans there are literally 20+ “classic/best” songs. And they are all high energy. Saw them a few years ago, and after 40 years doing it they are still amazing.
AC/DC is pure energy! Their catalog of amazing songs is so deep you need to just keep it going! This is the #1 band my brother put on to workout to RIP. You put one of their songs on and you can't help to get pumped up!

I’ve seen this band six times, and I’ve never, never left a show disappointed. These guys, no matter the lineup, ( they’ve had several different members through the years), have always entertained. You mention stage control, yeah they have it. Crowd participation through the roof. Stage production, always a spectacle. But ultimately it’s that music, man! It literally does take a hold of you, and you’re rockin’ right along with the band. AC/DC, in my opinion, puts on the greatest rock n roll concerts ever. LED ZEPPELIN is my all time favorite band, sadly I never saw them live, but AC/DC puts on the best damn shows. Period. The. End.
AC/DC was my first concert in Dayton, Ohio at Hara Arena back in the early 80’s. It was so AWESOME!!!! Unfortunately, I wore a cow neck sweater and thought I was going to have a heat stroke! But, I LOVED it so much!! It was amazing!!!❤❤❤
"The Jack" from ACDC is another classic with great participation. Their live at Riverplate performance reminds me a lot of when i got to see them in 1996. Vinyl and CD sales Over 400,000,000 friends. We are talking about one of the biggest bands on the planet and in Australia. Greatest band.
And brother, everybody from all walks of life are welcome to an AC/DC concert. It's just pure madness and love of rock 'n' roll.
Everything Riverplate is awesome. When you’re doing those numbers,at that age- you’re doing something right.
