    I like how nikita put a poll up for map reworks and it was Customs, Factory and Lighthouse. Lighthouse won by a landslide yet we got the other 2 instead 😂

      @@ranjela455 I actually play on a standard account and don't have any plans to ever upgrade. Game works just fine for me besides the occasional connection error. But I'm probably just too new to the game. I'm only 700 hours in so I guess I haven't played long enough to be bitter about every little thing like everyone else 🤷🏾‍♂️

You want to quest and avoid pmcs? TOO BAD M993 TO THE HEAD. You want to pvp and finish Punisher 4? TOO BAD EVERYONE IS ALREADY DEAD. Honestly fuck that map and fuck nikita.

    Also being a bear means 1/3 of the map is locked until you get a scope to deal with the rogues. Otherwise you get blown up from as far as the town before the main bridge

      Not true, you just suck then unfortunately, they’re agro on you for a few raids if you kill any, if you don’t you can cross before the main road before the bridge (End of construction) and just make your way to the wall like every USEC does, only thing you’re cut off from is the main bridge leading to the plant in front of the 2 rogues

      @Zaiderdarkstar Congratulations for being a great PVEer, but for sure suck at reading. I didn't say it was imposible or whatever. I just said it's like a 1/3 of the map banned if you are a BEAR, meaning even worse map layout than leviticus shows in the video.

    i picked up a pair of the nice NVGs early in wipe and held on to them for a week so i could knock out all of my lighthouse tasks lol. really does make tasking a lot easier

      You can just use the new Gen 1 nods they added, granted you can't hear because you're forced to use the helmet but the clarity is somehow on par with GPNVGs.

      @@danny7694 using anything that isn't pure garbage in this game will get you targeted by cheaters almost every fucking raid xD
      I've had wipes in the past, where I only used Pacas and pistols and tasked like that for over 11 raids in a row - no worries. The moment I put on a slick and some sick weapon, I was dead in less than 5min. This happens VERY, VERY frequently in Tarkov...
      I just lost interest in the online aspect of the game. I will play SPT from time to time, but the performance of the game is so atrocious, I don't get buttery smooth frames (at least 80+ come on...), even with a MONSTER of a PC. Game is simply screwed.

      Not enough ppl played it, so they have put incentive to do it. Also you can always bypass the punisher grind with $$$, which was probably the main reason.

      ​@@arbitrary531 Cheats is cheaper, but -100 social rating variant. And Punisher questline still needed for Kappa.
      We all deeply hate rage cheaters. But beer-holding wall-hack casuals are not that big of a problem.
      I'm more afraid to see a 10k+ hours streamer who moves in fights bunnyhopping, throws grenades exactly inch to inch and hits me in the head hipfiring from a 180 turn.

    Few quick solutions. Add poi and cover near coast. Expand northern part of map in the industrial area to allow spawns so the water plant is the middle of the map. Expand western rock areas to allow moving around and multiple roof accesses for the 3 main buildings.

    I've always wanted them to put like a crashed boat that was carrying s lot of shipping containers, could be good loot or such that spawns on them as well on the shoreline.

    1. Shorten the road, and west and east sides in length considerably to remove dead space.
    2. Add POI on west shore along with hard cover
    3. Continue map to the north with another road, shore, and small POI's
    4. Make spawns evenly around north and south of WTP, remove southern most spawns from PMC spawn table.
    5. Add a small strip of mostly flat forest to the east which goes all the way to the new northern end of the map, thus shifting the mountainous area that the Chalet sits on the new middle of the map.
    And boom. You now have a balanced Lighthouse. This eliminates lane camping drastically, and also takes the importance off the main roadway. It makes WTP far more interesting from both a PvP angle but also a PvE angle. And finally, it removes all the unnessiary dead space from the map and transfers it into a more compact, wider, and more interesting map.

    A few ideas for a rework:
    1. Southwest village, like suggested in the video. It could be something like a resort (shoreline) but a bit higher class. You could repeat it with the cabins to the north of them. Perhaps have a few more of them dotting down the coast, with a path connecting them down to this village, and in the center of it have like a reception, admin offices, a small clinic and maybe an arcade/restaurant with tech and food spawns. Walkways into the sea like small swimming piers.
    2. A tunnel system running from water treatment, to some part South on the map. It could be storm pipes for maintenance of the treatment plant with some areas retrofitted to act as underground security and advanced bases or an emergency escape for the rogues.
    3. Within the water treatment plant buildings, add an inner staircase up to the roof whilst keeping the outer ones.
    4. On the very final stretch of road at the south of the map, maybe add a small harbor with an explorable yacht or two docked.

    The worst part about Customs getting the rework instead of Lighthouse, is Customs was already a well designed and fun to play map full of good looting spots and points of interest.

      I dunno if I like the Customs rework too. It’s disincentivised outdoor PvP because you can now get sniped from any industrial building in the middle of the map. Customs used to be fantastic. Same with Factory, I hate the rework, it’s too dark and people camp every dark corner so no one moves around and all the fun PvP has gone from Factory

      @1bird375 I've played a fair bit of customs this wipe and haven't found it. PVP in the big open areas was already disincentives due to lack of cover and how many ways in there are. Road was already a death sentence.
      Now you can use the buildings to avoid snipers.

      The customs rework is good besides the terrible decrease in performance. I don't think the rework made it worse it just added more routes through the middle and a few more ways to PvP instead of just funneling through pocket watch or stronghold.

    8:50 Bro I shit you not. I got CHASED out of the map by a literal horde. 20+ scavs, all walking in a conga line on interchange. I shot like 6 scavs and the entire population of Tarkov descened on me. They were friendly firing each other with suppressive fire trying to kill me.
    Also lighthouse sucks. Best way to play is ignore it exists and quit the wipe before you have to go there. Cheater paradise, especially at night.

      As an Interchange main I know the map like the back of my hand. The map is full of scavs.
      It’s not that there are necessarily more, but they are more densely packed together and randomly strewn throughout the map as apposed to some other maps where they spawn at a few key points of interest separated from each other.
      Rule of thumb, always bring more mags than you think you’ll need. When you shoot a few scavs, do not attempt to hang around the area, get out. As mentioned they are more densely packed together, so killing a few scavs can lead to a horde of scavs in the area getting alerted and swarming you.
      Get in get out. Interchange is not a map you want to be lingering around too long on if you can help it. Get in do your quests, maybe hit some key loot areas along the way and then gtfo. Not only does it have alot of AI scavs. But it is a map that a lot of people scav into.
      When I run a raid on interchange I give myself an internal timer. Once the raid hits 28 minutes you should be planning your route out. Once it hits 25-20 you should be on your way out. Any longer and your essentially playing a stealth game trying to avoid an army of player scavs roaming the mall
      I’ve seen it before. Some ai scavs will agro a pmc late raid. This will attract player scavs. Gunfights ensue. Next thing you know your huddled in a store fighting off every player Scav on the map that is trying to either rush your position or wait for you to try and leave and make your exit a living hell. You’ll be all but trapped in the mall with the entire lobby trying to make sure you don’t make it out alive. Sorry for the lengthy comment but I enjoy giving tips on interchange 😅

    They should add two or three docked vessels at the very south that are brining in a boat load (literally) of supplies to Tarkov, with lots of Scavs active in the area. Three boats to run in and around and loot. We haven't had a proper inside a boat fighting, or proper pier fighting yet. Yes it'll be overlooked by the massive cliffs right there but if there's a lot of containers and forklifts it should be an issue. This should then also have a convoy running from it to the water treatment that's been attacked and abandoned with a number of large trucks full of weapons etc. Kinda suits the map, a resupply of the water treatment plant that's been abandoned due to being too dangerous. It could have a veichle at the front of the convoy used for smashing cars off the road but the drivers been shot in the head (very apt for this map)

    One other thing they can do is add an underground bunker area with vast!!! bunkers and multiple paths into the rocks towards Reserve. Would be acceptable lore wise as reserve has bunkers as well.

      eh I mean that would be good if they ALSO made significant additions to the above ground areas too, slapping a bunker underground still doesnt solve the issue that the above ground areas of the map would still blow absolute dick(and you still have a lot of quests to do up there). Weve seen what that does to a map with Reserve already, its turned Reserve into a place where theres little of value to be had in the above ground areas and you better be down in the bunker(or up at the radar station globe sniping) within 10-15 minutes because if not, youre going to be confronted with an army of scavs and pscavs virtually locking you into whatever building youre in. Its also made the PvP almost exclusively in the bunker outside of off spawn and the first 10 min of the raid(and late wipe everyone is like instantly going to the bunker anyway). It is definitely not an end all, be all solution, but I would be ok with it if it was a truly vast bunker/underground system and they fixed the other parts of the map.

      @@Handcannon77 I do agree with your statement that it would not fix everything but if we get a nice bunker system with large underground rooms not 1 single area like reserve but multiple of these big areas and a lot of paths in between them would elevate some of of the routing problem. Atm you are locking into one of 2 tunnels on the surface. A beach death trap B Cottages a bit better but not much.

    4:55 the chad way is to jump down on to the awning that’s above the door to enter the second story of any of the water treatment buildings; no pain meds needed and it’s easy to run around whoever is there

    It’s funny because on PVE lighthouse is by far one of my favorite maps. I love going at night and wrecking rogues with a thermal. Just really really sucks for PVP.

      Yeah.. Labs and Lighthouse is the only interesting maps on PvE. Others are pretty much mindless running around hoping some Scav doesn't one tap you in face or room you enter doesn't have 3 pmc and and you get instant fps drop and you die. Also Factory is fun because it has good fps

    My favourite thing to do is move up on the east rocks above the WTP and plink player scavs with the .338LM bolt actions. Especially since they added the extra landmines up there, because it seems people still dont know that you can go up there.

    Before streets dropped they said they were gonna expand lighthouse towards industrial Zone gates. That's why they added detail to those buildings as a teaser when they gave access to the lighthouse itself. They said they postponed acess to that Industrial zone facility to work on streets. That was years ago and they never spoke on it since. 😢

    The thing that sucks about this map is that i love the concept. I love the rogues(even though i think they could use more fleshing out by far), and i think the idea of a 3rd faction such as the rogues having a base like this is amazing, but the way its laid out you are 100% right. The machine guns also killing me at night when there is no real good night vision on them and the rogues having such a 3rd eye for anyone attacking them amazes me while having literally 0 defense for long range shot. "Oh what's that? The guy next to me got shot from 1000 meters away? Let me relocate for 5 minutes and then go back to what i'm doing" is so stupid.

    I go to the south extract to get all my top end ammo. It's also an easy way to get a propane/car battery to the finish line (the area has a few spawns for both).

    The scav special forces thing is a tool they use to “extend the wipe” without a doubt, it comes back every time they expect a long wipe.

    Another big issue is it feels like 90% of the quests on lighthouse have you go into the godforsaken hellscape that is water treatment. And most of those are fetch quests
    While the rogues are easy to fight, that comes with an asterisk. They are easy to fight, IF you know how to fight them. They are laser beam accurate and will put 20 rounds of 5.56 into your skull at 200 meters if you get exposed to them.
    If you don’t know how to fight them you will get floored, immediately. You need to know their spawns, what angles let you clear them off the mounted guns, because those will rip you a new one, and how to do all of that quickly so someone doesn’t shoot you in the back while your trying.
    Additionally you have to deal with the player scav horde who for SOME reason are immune to the rogues agro half the time when they should be shoot on sight just like PMCs.
    And if all that wasn’t bad enough, if the goons are on the map you ALSO have to contend with those bastards if they spawn inside. And even if you survive all of that. You either have to A. Get to the train and hope you aren’t contested there by player scavs or PMCs, B. Get to the car whcih is somewhat exposed and hope it’s there, C. Hope you have northern checkpoint as an extract of tk e other two are a no go, and then run out in the open trying to get there, or D, run back across the water treatment plant and try to get back to path to shoreline.
    Oh and also know where the copious amount of mines are if you use the cliffside because god forbid we have more ways to move around the place (thanks Nikitia)

    I also think there should be like some old mine buildings in that valley to the south east that's out of bounds with a path from the south connecting near the heli and a path to the north by path to shoreline. The geography even kinda hints at a possibillity for that.

    What I hate about Lighthouse is the random mine locations everywhere. I barely play Lighthouse so I always fall for this but that's a skill issue I guess. Still annoying. Also what is wrong with Shoreline? Just curious.

    the problem with lighthouse is before the goddamned cultist leader you could actually go to it and it had halfway decent loot like if you couldnt do the water treatment at least you had your little scuffles there, sure it was a big ass one way dead hallway but at least it has cover.

    As a Sniper player i like Lighthouse. its the only map where you can do 1000m+ Snipes. sad it sucks on all the other perspectives. they should open the South East side of Rock formation and add stuff there. maybe some underground tunnels between west and east side connectet to the Co-op Extract would be cool so you can cross the street without getting punished of snipers.

    They should do a bunker or highway and maintenance tunnels under the cliffs on the south part. Not only would this give another potential for a high loot zone, it would also give players another path to navigate through when trying to reach the opposite side, and by far my favourite moments on Tarkov have been fights in Reserve bunker, Ground Zero underpass and labs bottom floor.

    maybe im one of the few, but i like the long range PVP once you figure out where to keep your eyes pointed. Especially hammering at people in chalet or at heli from across the road. A little more width wouldnt hurt, as well as the chokepoint nature of the transition between water treatment and the rest. The part around lighthouse accessway needs a rework for sure.
    Early wipe night time lighthouse is a fun shootout, especially in winter.
    Id be up for adding the BTR so south spawns have a way to enter water treatment area or trainyard in full cover.

    Regarding dealing with rogues i would say - get at SV-98 --- load it with LPS (so that in-game zeroing is accurate) --- get a scope with up to 450m zeroing --- run around in offline looking for good angles to snipe rogues from (200m+ range) --- go in at night and snipe the rogues. Bonus option is to make a bullet drop chart and and snipe some of the rogues from 600m away from sniper mountain.

    I think they should add an underground area to the map. Like a 3 entry point bunker with an extract down there. For example below the road somewhere. You could enter it from the chalet, from the water treatment plant and they should add like a sewer entrance in the road or something. Only so the map has more POI s. Thats my opinion only.

    4:45 there is at least three ways to get down from each roof of water treatment buildings, such as:
    1. Conditioners on the sides of these buildings that you can jump on and then jump down.
    2. Jumping down onto tiny roof for the door leading to the second floors of these buildings.
    3. Just jumping off onto whatever else is down there, like trucks or pipes if we talking about hangar #1, just thrown down all of your weight first, you will likely break your legs by doing it so bring some splints with you.

    Hello @Leviticus ! rather New enjoyer here, But am unable to play Tarkov due to a distinct lack of time and drive. My favorite extraction game, as I am a solo player, is a little game called "Zero Sievert." It's kinda like Tarkov in a few ways (Yoinking enemy weapons, having to bring your own gear, and quite a bit of Russian weapons to name a few) and am highly interested to see:
    1. Have you heard of the game?
    2. Would you play said game?
    3. If previous answer is yes, would you make a video about it?

    I would like to share this quick fact: Prepare to Die, Left Behind and Standard editions of Tarkov are not translated into Spanish, German, Portuguese, French, Chinese and Italian on their official website.
    I would also like to say that the Unheard edition is translated into those languages

    You forgot to mention the terrible geometry of the rocks themselves, where you put yourself at a disadvantage trying to move because you can just randomly get stuck on a piece of terrain giving the other guy the easiest shot ever

    I play alot of squad one time we took our abrams (a tank) and drove it up this big ass hill like from ground level we were about 800 feet up right and set up shop there putting sand bags hesco walls emplacements taking from that i think moving one of the strikers from revision the one right in front of the light house and moving it to the coast would be good also some transport trucks and mg trucks why go light on the military vehicle aspect just go all in have a sandbag wall or too around the west side hill in the abounded village in front of light house put a bunker in the ground kinda what they did with woods hell change the transit spot put it in side of the rocks on the east side

    On a positive note, the South of this map is easy money for PvE. It's easy to learn, lacks snipers, the Southern Road exit is completely safe, and there are multiple key, quality ammo (including grenade shells), gold, and high end loot spawns on bodies or the environment, (armor repair kits, especially, but also phased arrays, military parts, mechanical parts, and graphics cards). Lots of food and some med spawns, too, with the only serious problems being scav swarms and the Goons.
    I know that doesn't help the PvP community, but... it's a take what you can get situation with BSG. And there's actually a lot in the South, (the body in the outhouse behind the shack near LH bridge has treated me very well).

    You know, when I started playing Tarkov back in winter of 2017, customs to me was the perfect map design.
    It was linear, with 2-3 spawns on either side and major POI’s in the center and extracts on the opposite side.
    I thought that customs layout was the formula for Tarkov maps.
    Light house is similar in dimension, but move all the spawns to one side and move all of the POIs to the opposite side.
    That was never ever a good idea.

    The customs rework imo proves lighthouse needs more lanes to function. I don't know how well,l it would line up with the geography and lore, but a mine that runs throughout the mountains or like little mine tunnels would be cool.

    Another idea to improve the south/east side of Lighthouse better, add a bunker system like there is on reserve, and a little military checkpoint. A barracks and a storehouse would do the map a lot of good.

    My main issue with Lighthouse is dying less than 5 minutes into raid because the Goons spotted me from 6 lightyears away when I first spawned and have tracked me down as silently as possible and fill me with enough metal to rebuild the twin towers.

    The thing that is the worst about Lighthouse is that a large amount of important quests (also endgame quests) are all focused on lighthouse, so youre forced to play on it eventually.
    The rogues are so annoying, and they love those mounted MGs, they will laser you from multiple angles

    Should add the audio bug that if anything detonates a mine that you will get the tinnitus effect and audio for a few seconds, so they did “rework” something on the map lol

    Water Treatment tasks are best done by dressing as a scav and hiding till the last 10-15 minutes of the raid. Shotgun with good ammo, silenced pistol for the odd ai scav, cheap looking rig with decent plates and voip-ing "good day fellow scavs" goes a long way to knocking them off quickly. Plus it's objectively funny to kill unsuspecting player scavs at close range.

    I totally agree, this map is the one who made me quit the game many times but I always comeback for every 1st month of a wipe. I even tried to reach out to every friend of mine and ask them what they think about Lighthouse and they all hated more than me except who said that the map is ''Ok''

    Tilt the lighthouse map sideways and you get a poop shape. Therefore it is poop. Also if I spawn on the south end of the map, I just go extract.

    its the one map in the game that is truly meant to not be its own map, this version would work in the "open world" tarkov that they originally plan on going for, but i just dont see them committing to that anymore and lighthouse is left in the dust because of it.

    As a PvE player, it's a really oppressive map because you have the lighthouse (inaccessible to me unless I want to duel sniper god 1), goons (including sniper god 2) & 900 turrets.
    Wish there was something going on that didn't need you to have an insane sniper duel every time.

    I agree with more points of interest or even scavs being a good idea. Also obviously the Rogues need tuning.
    However the "go north" map dynamic is pretty unique in Tarkov and can be fun at times. Storming the chalet or maneuvering around the west side rocks to bait out shots can be quite fun and something you don't have on other maps. Also it's the only map snipers really get what they want, allowing some battlefield-like sniper duels, where finding the enemy first is the real challenge. You might not like this playstyle, but this is the only map that enables it. There are enough maps where you can Shift + W and have close- to mid-range fights, so having one map with a different approach should be totally okay. Peple who don't like close quarter angagements must go through factory quests, so it's totally for people not enjoying sniper duels or slow play to be on Lighthouse, aswell.
    I also disagree with "one reasonable chokepoint". Most of the times you can move between the road and chalet or the west side of the map and those are camped way less often.

    I am a casual player, wipes usually find me around lvl30. I have NEVER spawned in Lighthouse. I constantly ignore tasks related to this map. I have done few Labs in the past, but never LH...

    If you get the spawn down by the road to the lighthouse, just go ahead and eat a grenade out in the open. No one will risk going to loot your body, and the snipers on the mountain side will take care of any Scavs trying to loot you so you'll be guaranteed to get your Insured back.

    Lighthouse is one of those maps I just pretend doesn’t exist unless I absolutely have to for a quest. I got very lucky yesterday and got long road and 3 other quests done in one raid. Dont have to go on there for a while. Also I only play it at night. I avoid pvp at and just do my quests

    The reason Customs got a rework before Lighthouse was because the new buildings that got opened up in Customs have been talked about since before Lighthouse was even a map. The new Customs buildings have been a very long time coming.

    lighthouse would be much harder to re-work with the size of the map so it makes sense to re-work the other maps.
    Also many more players play customs and factory compared to lighthouse
