I am now having problems with keeping my gen 11 saddle with the double rigging from sliding back on my mustang horse. Why is this happening now and I use too not have any problems before.

It makes no sense to ride around with three feet of strap hanging underneath your horse that is only secured in the last step by a Buckle pin. I'm surprised they don't show you how to go back up to the front ring and tie off the Cinch the way it was originally designed to be tied

Whatever way you choose, it has to be the same on both sides! Otherwise everything will be very unbalanced

What do I do with all the extra latigo? I'm new to this style of saddle and can't figure out all the extra leather.

It can either be set into the latigo carrier or re-looped around the front an extra pass if possible.

@@HorseSaddleShopBremen my latino is leather and to do that causes a lot of bulk.

To secure your leather properly and not have 3 ft of leather hanging out under your animal don't go through the front ring twice when you start. This way you can go back to the front ring with your extra strap. When it comes out from the bottom pull it to the left then take it to the right and go underneath the ring bringing it out on top and secure it underneath the horizontal strap of leather you just made

I wish all saddles had a varied rigging system. Either the double ring type or the sliding bracket like Martin Saddlery uses . Too often now I have had to pass on saddles that don't have adjustable rigging options. The tree fits but the static rigging position at 7/8 makes it impossible for the Saddle to fit the horse

What do you do with the strap that is hanging?? Also, it would have been much more helpful if you demonstrated how you started this set up on the other side.

I would like to know what to do with the extra strap too!

Go back up to the front buckle and tie it off the way it's always been done for a million years. That is absolutely stupid because a the whole may not line up with where the tightness in your saddle needs to be, because usually the holes on cinches are a good 4 inches apart. And what happens if you're riding somewhere in that strap gets caught on something and pulled off that Buckle pin now your saddle's not tied on. That's just the dumbest thing I've ever seen is to just lock it in a buckle hole and leave it like that

Hi, you have to pick between the full or 3/4 rings in the front if you want to utilize the back angled dee.
Or you can use the 7/8 in the front and not use the back angled dee. Hope that helps!
