I’m doing intermittent fasting only on week 3 and have lost 2.5 kilos. My doctor was concerned about my fasting blood glucose level increasing slightly and I don’t want to get type 2 diabetes. I’ve never eaten breakfast so have stretched out the time to my first meal to 12 midday. I would usually have something around 1030am so it wasn’t much of a change. Definitely recommend this method. Congratulations on your weight loss Sally ❤
Thank you so much for sharing. You’re doing so great too!! It’s life changing and so easy once you make the change.
Good day to you! Thank you for sharing your good and sounds like 'easy' and healthy eating habits. I WILL TRY that as I'm 56 and struggling with FAT all over, not just in my belly.
It’s going to work for you too. It’s not a silly fad diet which let’s face it none of us stick with.
Thank you for explaining intermittent fasting so well. Offering your meal plan was a plus. I must try this!
Thank you for watching. Ill be doing an update soon☺️
I’m struggling, only belly fat. Please more videos ❤
Yes more to come ☺️
My post menopause caused extreme belly fat arm fat, back fat and upper stomach fat. I’m 67. I have a huge amount of stress so cortisol is very high. I’ve treatment resistant depression, ADHD and anxiety disorde. I am completely flabby no muscle tone and atrophied muscle. I look like a toad 😭. Im desperate to get back on track. Im 5’5 weigh 151. Ive gained 10 lbs or more. Belly fat and butt. I can’t afford to lose fat on my chicken legs 😩. I have arthritis in my back and knees and elbows so I can’t do squats , pull ups, or lunges. Great video. I’m so glad I found your channel. I do have a younger looking face strangely. No consistent sun for years I’m supposing 😂. Thanks.
I did intermittent fasting on a 16:8 schedule and lost 30 lbs in 3 months. Now I'm maintaining that but I've also switched to fasting 72 hours straight and an 8-hour window for eating. Then I go back to the 16:8 schedule. I'm diabetic and this has done wonders for my blood sugar, so much so that some days I do not need my diabetic medication. My doctor doesn't believe in intermittent fasting (I'm proof that it works for me), but I'm going to continue doing it because I feel better.💜💜💜
I love intermittent fasting, it’s really works!! More info please!!❤

Watch blackberries and especially raspberries if you get kidney stones easily. Spinach, too. Just watch High oxalate foods
Thanks for the heads up
Yes I'm very interested.
I did the 16:8 IF for over a year and it didn’t do anything for me so I started going to a nutritionist. She doesn’t want me to IF because it slows my metabolism. She wants me to eat 3 times a day.
Wonderful video. I've heard about intermittent fasting, but never heard anyone detail how they were doing it. More, please! 😊😊😊 (I've been following so much of your advice since I found your channel! I really look forward to your videos!)
Ahh I’m so happy you like my video. I wanted to introduce it gently as not everyone will enjoy this type of content. I’m delighted you want to see more. New wellness Wednesday videos coming soon ☺️
Interested in you sharing more info about this IF! I didn't know it but I stumbled across your healthy breakfast suggestion a few days ago, the Greek yogurt/fruit/honey. But I think I need to watch how much honey I've been adding. 😅 And the granola. 😅 It is a very satisfying and delicious breakfast.
Thanks for sharing! I love all your video's
You are so welcome! Thank you.

Thank you and looking forward to more videos on this subject !

Pre-Workout Nutrition
Focus on your nutrient timing. We aren’t professional endurance athletes but if you are female you should not, I repeat SHOULD NOT go into your workout fasted.
Training fasted increases cortisol which promotes fat storage and can decrease the available building blocks needed for your other hormones, like progesterone.
Have something to eat 30-45 mins before training, especially if before a heavy training session
Yes, more info please!
Yes, More videos soon 🙌☺️
More info please . Thank you 😊
Im interested ❤
Do also mention the clean fast in your future videos. Because this is very important! Some say you are allowed a few calories but that is not the case, most certainly not if it looks like IF isn’t working for you. Not even fruit teas etc.
Yes I will when I do another video. Some do have “keto” coffee in their fasting window too which is loaded with fats and therefore calories.
@@SallyAtkinsDoes absolutely not work. From the minute your brain detects something it recognises as being food, you might al well eat.
Interesting video and I agree with everything you said, however I have some concerns about protein. I'm looking forward to learning more about your experience with this approach and more about what you've been eating. Some people, like my cousin, don't experience hunger until early afternoon, whereas I nearly always feel very hungry by mid-morning. If I have coffee with a little half and half I'm not hungry until noon, but since half and half has calories, I imagine that breaks the fast, right? Also, while I was not aware of it when I was your age, in my late 60s I learned that I was losing muscle due to the aging process, and not enough weight-bearing exercise. I now prioritize protein, specifically animal protein, because it is more bio-available and nutrient-dense than plant protein. That's a hard, but valuable, lesson I learned after years as a vegetarian! It sounds like you're getting small amounts of protein with yogurt and hummus and you're getting most of your protein from one meal per day at dinnertime. OMAD is very popular (One Meal A Day). That's fabulous that it's worked so well for you that you've lost belly fat.
I think it is the easiest thing to do. But … it doesn’t always work for me because I eat too much in my window. I eat too much bread, pasta, sweets, etc. and then it doesn’t work. I never eat fruit (I do eat lots of veggies) but I’m going to try now what you do. “Pretending” my first meal is breakfast (and not lunch as I do). When I do it that way I will eat fruits and no bread. So I hope this is going to be a win-win. And I HAVE to stop eating chocolate!!!! Living in Belgium, the country having the best pralines in the world AND having an artisanal praline maker in my village … believe me it’s not easy!
Oh my goodness I can imagine the temptation. Belgian praline is my to die for treat😩😅
Yes try and make your first meal either savoury without carbs or like mine yummy yoghurt and berries. They are good for you I promise. Thank you for watching ☺️
@@SallyAtkinsShall I send you some😂😂😂😂. Just kidding. I am really going to try it. Because I don’t mind eating fruit that way. But during the day eating an apple or a banana is not my cup of tea.
you’re my new best friend 😂😂😂
@@SallyAtkinsYay!!!
You can have decaf tea or coffee but NO milk nor sugar ...otherwise its not fasting😊
Yes please x
Thank you for watching. More coming soon☺️
Thank you so much for all your tips. I would just like to know, what time do you go to bed? Straight at 8 o'clock?
No I’ll normally be in bed around 10:30
I'm interested! I can't get started on a diet plan.
More info coming very soon ☺️
I’m going to try that. I basically eat like that already. But I have to take steroids to keep my cortisol level up. And I have gained around thirty pounds because of it. I’m almost 65. And would love to lose the steroid weight. I’ve been exercising and walking to help.
Can’t wait to share more with you soon☺️
Will 15:9 work just as well?
Hi. I have porridge for breakfast. Is this ok if i did the intermittent fasting
Breaking your fast can be with whatever you want as long as you have allowed 16 hours since your last food intake. ☺️
Great video! Can you vary the hours as long as it is 16 hours of fasting?
Yes you can!
Some RUclips doctors will tell you eat and stop eating early is best, but you have to do what fits in with your life as this will give you a better chance at compliance.
I’m a diabetic… so how does that work?
Cheers from California….👍🙂
Can’t wait to share more with you soon☺️
There's a Canadian doctor called Dr Jason Fung. He reduces blood sugar in his patients with intermittent fasting. He gets most patients off diabetic medication for their type 2 diabetes).
He has a book - The Diabetes Code, but you can watch his RUclips videos for free.
Do you think it’s ok to have the first meal being protein smoothie?
Yes perfect
😂😂😂😂 "veges are trying to kill you" 😅😅😅
Apparently 😂😂😂
🥰
☺️
Why fat belly ❤
