It was a beautiful escape from stressful everyday life as always, and it also inspired me to want to do fanart of you for my Instagram!
I use to hate living here in the countryside, I felt stuck and I couldn't wait to make enough money to finally move to a 'first World country' but finding your channel and watching your videos, seeing you living the small town life in the most simple and elegant makes me appreciate my life a little bit more. I decided to start documenting my life and it's has been so freeing to just be myself and share it with the world . I owe it all to you, you have been my greatest inspiration . and knowing that we share the same faith makes it even better Thank you 🤗🤗💜
I use to feel the same way. I worked in a hospital and being on call for 34 years caused PTSD, I retired this May, I enjoy being away from illnesses, hurt, death, although I enjoyed those who healed because their journey healed me too, just like the country side is doing for me now. 🧡🕸👍🏻 thank you for sharing your experience.
I grew up south of Washington DC....and I feel the same way but in reverse. We're trying to leave here later this year and move into a more rural area.
I too have felt that way living rural. I'm from the city and married a Farmer. I felt isolated and stuck. After watching her videos I'm going to embrace it and move forward.
I don't live in a rural cottage either, although I did grow up in one, but I really believe you can create a similar life in the city. You can still grow things in the garden if you have one, or in pots, if you have a chimney you can create a real fire etc. There's so much you can do. It''s also about slowing down. If you can't move to the country, bring it to you.
Here in California, where I live, we don’t get snow. But winter is like Fall and the leaves stay colorful. I enjoy staring outside: it’s a different kind of beauty!
Am overjoyed to see there was enough wallpaper for you to be able to match up the seams! And at the 5:31 even you mug comes close to matching the wallpaper. Such a calming yet informative video, Love watching your videos from my wee place north west of Yosemite National Park in California. Thank you!
We had an unexpected 8 inches of snow yesterday! The perfect day to stay inside to decorate for the holidays. Great job on the wallpaper. It looks great.
Are you able to show more of the sweater you’re wearing? I’m an avid knitter and I can replicate it. Just need to see the front. Thanks, if you have the time
I am living on an acre of property that backs onto a forest. There is quite a lot of snow here, Northeastern Ontario, and it is simply beautiful. The view from my kitchen window is spectacular. I never tire of the sights and sounds of the outdoors. Winter is my time to do all the indoor chores that I don’t have time for in the summer, drink the peppermint tea that I harvested and dehydrated, and bake beautiful foods and enjoy my preserves. ☮️💕
When Scorpio took over the heavens, the time of silence and soul reflection kicks in. Three months of darkness are coming to go deep within. You are living beautifully and I wish I wish I wish I could live in nature like this. Thank you and bless you.
How wonderful Paola! That little bit of wallpaper adds a magnificent splash of color and contrast in your cottage. I also love the evergreen embroidery on your bedspread as well. Yes some men do notice those kinds of minor, but significant details. Are you dipping your feet into basket weaving? Hurray for you I believe, after some start up frustrations, you’ll find it to be quite fulfilling. You know the best thing about making your own craft items is that you are able to make it exactly how you want it to be. As for thrifting nearly all of my woodworking hand tools are working antiques. The quality of those tools is far superior to anything made today plus they still contain many years of usefulness in them. Oh there truly is nothing better than having the intimate contact through a hand tool with a beautiful piece of heartwood cherry when making a new cherry Shaker kitchen work table.
My favorite time with the big snows is right after it's pretty much all slowed down, but people still don't want to leave their homes yet. Everything is perfectly quiet, and I love it dearly. Doesn't happen too often, as I live in an urban area in CO, but goodness does it bring me joy!
Here winters feel colder because of the sea wind, strong winds sting your hands and bite your face. It doesn't really snow, we received a light sprinkle a week ago, but it only lasted two days. I'm looking forward to spring and seeing all the flowers bloom and the blossom trees.

Hi; I'm living outside Winchester in Hampshire, England. Our winters are mainly wet, windy and grey with occasional snow. I love all the seasons except if its too hot and humid. I used to live in Sweden where temperatures would typically be -28 degrees. Winters there are proper - lots of snow, v short days, and v long dark nights. I admire what you're doing with your life. I'm a bit like you myself searching for deeper meaning and roots.

Watching your videos always makes me feel better about slowing down with life. I live in a big city and slowing down is looked down upon or considered unproductive. But you made believe otherwise. I think slowing down is vital to your mental health and creativity
I live in East TN in a valley between the Blue Ridge Mountains. They call our town the valley beautiful. We just had our first snow on the first day of December. It was just enough to cover the ground & stick to the trees. We usually get more cold wind than we do snow. Years ago our area would see a lot of snow but nowadays not as much. Love to burrow in when winter comes & I do enjoy watching it snow when it does.
Thank you once again for this calm, sweet video. I so look forward to every Wednesday when I can spend time with you in your lovely cottage and to watch them over and over again during the week. You inspired me to make my own Pot Pourri this week. I dried Cranberries, Lemons, Oranges, and pomegranate. Added orange and persimmon peel, cinnamon sticks, star anise, and pinecones. Then I sprinkled an orange essential oil. It is so lovely. Also, Loved the new wallpaper and the reference to one of my most favorite children's books (I am from England, originally.) I now live on Whidbey Island in WA and I'm so fortunate to be able to work from home as an author. There is nothing more magical than sitting by my woodfire this time of year creating places and characters that sweep me away to another time and place. Keep making these wonderful videos I love them so much.
I can watch you talk and do beautiful crafty things and making cozy drinks and food for hours and hours. Thank you so much for giving us a part of your life, where we can all connect with and hope to seek the joy of little things in life. You are wonderful ❤️ thank you xx
We live in the Northwest Litchfield Hills, Connecticut, nicknamed “The Ice Box”. I look forward to those chilly & cozy snowy days that make me imagine we are living inside of a snow-globe. I love how the snow sparkles like diamonds on the hillside. We have a Nor’easter coming this weekend. Hoping for a few feet of snow.
I live in Minnesota where we also get quite intense winters. As someone who experiences extreme seasonal depression for half the year, this was wonderful to see. I find it very easy to get lost in the emptiness of the winter, and this video reminded me of the simplicity that comes with it. I often forget how magical this time used to be, so thank you
Love the Wind in the Willows! Poor Mole got so homesick and then Ratty turned it into such a wonderful night. I want to live in Badger's Burrow.... Best, Lore🍃🌿🌱
I adore the calming way you have in presenting your videos. You help to bring a moment of tranquility into the viewers day. The music, subject matter, lighting and the hypnotic tone to your voice adds to this process of "living in the NOW". Due to this past year of many heartbreaking events in my life (and I am sure there are many others viewing these video that have experience pain and sorry too) I thank you for this moment of peace. Blessing to you.
You live a beautiful lifestyle with your dog and your cottage ! You don’t realize how incredible wealthy you are ! Keep the men at bay and you will stay happy !
The best way to end the day is to watch one of your videos - gives me so much peace and inspiration to hopefully one day find my own small little place of peace in the wilderness.
The calmness in your angelic voice, the vibes of your cozy cottage, the music, and everything in your videos is valuable, you’re an inspiration to me, thank you Paola.
As I find myself beginning to hunker down into a what I've come to know as a dark place in the times of my life I am thankful that I somehow found your wonderfully quiet, cozy, peaceful, tender channel. From the almost silent background music to the warm sun look right brightening the interior spaces each moment is a light into my darkness. Thank you so very much. Also, winter is my most favorite season . Enjoy!
Hi Paola, that little blue like thumb just isn't big enough for how much I love your videos. Thank you so much. I am of an older age, more than twice yours, but the joy I get from your depictions of life makes my heart so warm and happy. The quality of your filming is so high too, and it must take such skill to capture all the angles you do. I live in Scotland and the temperatures have just dropped to frosts, which is so beautiful and sparkly. I live on the coast and was on our bay at the weekend when the sky was full of geese from Iceland and Greenland for the winter, and the grasses were golden in the bright winter sunlight. Have a beautiful week and thank you once again for sharing your world with us. Blessings of cosiness x
Hi. I live in the south of France, in Provence. It's a little cold because of our wind which name is the Mistral, but we haven't snow, unfortunatelly. Thanks for your videos, so restful, with a such peaceful voice, I love! I'm grateful for that.
Looking forward to wind down and enjoy watching this...I live in Northern California, we get flurries here from time to time and an occasional snow day(winter is my favorite . )Fall is beautiful as well as spring. Summer here is hot 🥵.
@@sheliarossell3162 Everything just looks and feels different living in the city. Trying to get out as soon as I can. There too many clean edges and sterile color palettes here.
Dear CottageFairy, I chanced upon your channel a few weeks ago and it was such a blessing that I wanted to leave a comment to express my appreciation. Your videos resonate so much with me in that you have so much wisdom and courage to pursue the lifestyle that suited you the best and gave your life the most meaning. I come from a very busy and stressful city state where there are no countrysides to move to and recently found that I am losing my innate sense of wonder quickly after graduating university. It feels like I do not fit into my own country's rushed culture and I am currently in a deep rut of feeling stressed and isolated. However, your videos have brought such calm and tranquility into my life and for that I thank you
Aww I wish there was more channels like yours: calming, relaxing simplicity and beauty - It puts me in the mood to enjoy the small things in life with love.
Paola, you're my favorite person on RUclips. You make me feel better. Like "getting a hug" kind of feel better! You've taught me alot. You inspire me. Thank you! 😊 I got your book! Its one of my favorites. I also appreciate the book recommendations you've shared in other videos. I started 📚 reading again. I had forgotten how much I love books. Winter is a tough season for a dairy farm girl like me in Wisconsin. I get depressed but you've helped me see beauty when I couldn't before. Thank you again, dear!
I live in the beautiful province of New Brunswick, Canada, where winters can be long and cold, but fortunately, very sunny. I, too, live in a small cottage on the outskirts of the oldest incorporated city in Canada. We love the change of seasons and enjoy snuggling up in front of the wood stove on cold, snowy days.
You are such a beautiful person. I learn a lot by listening to your daily life and stories these days. You are a good person who delivers comfort and love. I'd like to thank you very much. I am a person who writes and teaches literature in Korea. I often watch your RUclips whenever I have a hard time. I think I'm happy. I want to be comforted by watching your videos for a long time. And I'm rooting for you. Thank you so much...
After working a busy night shift in the ER your videos always help wind me down, truly thank you for the calm I feel after watching your lovely videos. Love the new wallpaper find also 💚stay warm .
The view by your window is incredible. I live in Paris (France) and for the moment, we have a lot of rain. I live there since 2012 and we don’t really have snow or it melts quite fast. But every time I see some snowflakes it brings me joy. To fight the cold and the rain, I love to drink lots of tea and wrap myself in cosy blankets
I too love vintage things , and often will find free things on sidewalks and garage sales . There are always those things that most people just don't want. I repurpose them into things that l can use on a daily basis . I absolutely love your wall paper , it's so colorful and will help push the winter doldrums right out the door . I love your little cottage and all the wonderful things you've done with it. I look forward to seeing how cozy you will make your new barn home !
You have quickly became one of my favorite storytellers. Because this is what you do. You tell a story with picturesque imagery of your lovely welcoming cottage. Each craft and piece of art you create also tells a story. Your own soothing voice calmly and kindly making us company as if we were longtime friends. And you endlessly inspire me to create a narrative of my own! Thank you, Paola. Just donated to the link in your description
That wallpaper is gorgeous! Who would have thought about buying vintage wallpaper? I love your entire presentation, especially your calm, soothing voice. Thank you for inviting us into your world.
Paola, I happened across your videos purely by chance... & I couldn't be happier about it! Your quiet, peaceful, intentional way of moving through life is so inspiring- and as I'm embarking on a fairly major life change, myself (of slowly phasing out of a very demanding career path, to begin farming/homesteading and making more time in my life to get back to creating art), you set a lovely example of all the joy there is in living simply and with meaning & purpose. Thank you so much for this beautiful channel, and all the inspiration & wisdom you provide! ❤
I can't explain the wonderful peace I get from watching your videos. The life I can only imagine living right now. Thank you for starting this channel🙏
Thank you for your calming videos narrated in your serene voice. I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba. 🇨🇦, Your attitude seeps into my soul and strengthens my mind. You help me tune to winter rather than dread it. Your videos are a blessing to me. ⛄️😘
Oooo I’ll have to try making cinnamon branches! I bet the smell lovely! 😍 Also I love your button coaster, it’s super cute ☺️ I can’t wait to see your upcoming holiday video ❤️🌲
Very inspiring... I live in Greece, on Lesvos Island. Most of the time I stay home, doing a lot of knitting or sometimes make ceramics on the wheel. It has started to get cold here too... Have a nice winter beautiful soul 🌹🌹🌹
We might get a foot of snow for a week or two at most. I remember 20-some years ago we'd get a nice deep snow most winters, but now it may not snow hardly at all and almost never stays for long. In fact, yesterday was so spring-like here I had the doors flung open and sat with my tea on the porch squeezing out the last drops of Vitamin D from the sun while I could.
I love that vintage paper, beautiful design. Up cycling, recycling, make do and mend, salvage, crafting, painting is the way to go. I love all things vintage, and plenty of colour. Antiques and objet d'art.
We could even handle some cold weather at the moment mini heatwave condition at present and only 3 days into summer stay safe cheers from Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
I think my daughter asked Santa for “Two Cottage Fairy Videos” in one week. She said, “Maybe the Cottage Fairy will surprise us during the holidays and post an extra video.” Have to say I am hoping the same! It is the little things done with care that bring love and light to a home. Thank you for sharing this light with the world!🥰

Have a beautiful week and thank you once again for sharing your world with us. Blessings of cosiness x
Your life has touch and warmth of 'The Red Velveteen Rabbit' story.
How wonderfully calm , peaceful and serine🥰
Hi I am from India just seeing you is so peaceful. Thanks for the calm time.

Your hair is gorgeous! The wallpaper turned out beautiful.❤🌲
Flurries??? O.o

Dang, even your dog's bones are aesthetic. I miss living out in the woods.
Lol that would be normal yet way you said it was lol so much fun.
However, your videos have brought such calm and tranquility into my life and for that I thank you
Oh that is so meaningful to hear, thank you for sharing with me 🤍 so lovely to meet another kindred spirit. Much love and light to you
How can someone not like the way she decorate everything 😀
Aww I wish there was more channels like yours: calming, relaxing simplicity and beauty - It puts me in the mood to enjoy the small things in life with love.
“My little burrow”😍 reminds me of the Weasleys burrow 😂
Paola, you're my favorite person on RUclips. You make me feel better. Like "getting a hug" kind of feel better! You've taught me alot. You inspire me. Thank you! 😊
I got your book!
You , your channel are a breathe of fresh air.🕊️🙏🏽🥰🌺💨🌠💖⭐🌬️ Thank you for sharing this with us. 💯
I nominate u for teacher of the year🎒
Aw! ❤️
Yes
I live in the beautiful province of New Brunswick, Canada, where winters can be long and cold, but fortunately, very sunny. I, too, live in a small cottage on the outskirts of the oldest incorporated city in Canada. We love the change of seasons and enjoy snuggling up in front of the wood stove on cold, snowy days.
You create such a peaceful and sweet atmosphere and life; immersed in the natural world.
Enjoy the coziness of autumn and winter...
Wow. That was amazing how the flower just rehydrated!
What is she using for her tea her own dried flowers?
After working a busy night shift in the ER your videos always help wind me down, truly thank you for the calm I feel after watching your lovely videos. Love the new wallpaper find also 💚stay warm .
This is the most lovely thing I have ever watched.
I watch a video with my morning coffee everyday to get my day started and it's the most calming and relaxing part of my day. Thank you for your videos
Can I ask something
Hello....hope your having a peaceful day... please don't skip ads so that we can help this beautiful woman..thank you❤️..
When I grow up, I am gonna be like this lady.
Can I ask something
I too love vintage things , and often will find free things on sidewalks and garage sales . There are always those things that most people just don't want. I repurpose them into things that l can use on a daily basis . I absolutely love your wall paper , it's so colorful and will help push the winter doldrums right out the door . I love your little cottage and all the wonderful things you've done with it. I look forward to seeing how cozy you will make your new barn home !
I’m always in love with your videos! It’s always such a special day when you upload 💛
I had no idea how much I needed to watch a wallpaper application until now
Lol
THANK YOU FOR THE JOY YOU ALWAYS CARRY WITHIN YOU AND GRACIOUSLY SHARE WITH US.
Making paste great idea. I was concerned that pest love to eat paste. Try adding some boric acid.
That wallpaper is gorgeous! Who would have thought about buying vintage wallpaper? I love your entire presentation, especially your calm, soothing voice. Thank you for inviting us into your world.
She has Luna Love food’s voice and tonality. So cute
I live in Cornwall England , our winters are mild compared to yours 😊 if we do get snow it tends not to last long x
I can't explain the wonderful peace I get from watching your videos. The life I can only imagine living right now. Thank you for starting this channel🙏
Thank you for helping me look forward to the winter days :)
You bring my so much joy
We might get a foot of snow for a week or two at most. I remember 20-some years ago we'd get a nice deep snow most winters, but now it may not snow hardly at all and almost never stays for long. In fact, yesterday was so spring-like here I had the doors flung open and sat with my tea on the porch squeezing out the last drops of Vitamin D from the sun while I could.
This made me cry, it was just so lovely and sweet :)
Can I ask something
I love that vintage paper, beautiful design. Up cycling, recycling, make do and mend, salvage, crafting, painting is the way to go. I love all things vintage, and plenty of colour. Antiques and objet d'art.
We could even handle some cold weather at the moment mini heatwave condition at present and only 3 days into summer stay safe cheers from Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
That wallpaper lined up so perfectly, I could cry...
I think my daughter asked Santa for “Two Cottage Fairy Videos” in one week. She said, “Maybe the Cottage Fairy will surprise us during the holidays and post an extra video.” Have to say I am hoping the same! It is the little things done with care that bring love and light to a home. Thank you for sharing this light with the world!🥰
Love the way you decorate, I do my own stuff too and I get used pieces of furniture and refinished myself too..
The flower pattern on the wallpaper is so pretty. Thank you. From South Korean RUclipsr Woongkham.💞👍👍👍
I enjoy silent vlogs & also film them but then there are your vlogs, that truly touch my soul. Have a lovely day too.
