Kevin, I am so glad you decided to save and restore this old house and I feel so very privileged to see it on You-tube. I have been disabled with depression for a long time, and on those days I'm extra down, your videos help a lot. You are a wonderful source of comfort and joy to me. You truly inspire me to surround myself with beautiful things too... and to clean & cook & take care of myself. The first time I saw a video of yours was a "tea time" video. I was very impressed by your tea set & 3 tier tray. Soon after, I found a silver tier tray at the Goodwill for next to nothing. I have nice tea cups but I'm still looking for a tea pitcher. I'm looking forward to autumn and looking forward to your wonderful autumn recipes and seeing your fireplace lit again. I still haven't tried to make your pumpkin cinnamon rolls yet. I'm going to try to try to make them this fall. They look so delicious. OK, now I feel like I'm rambling. I just want to take this opportunity to let you know how much you and your videos mean to me. Kevin, I also love your music selections and I would like to tell you that my dog that passed last November loved it too. We listened to it together all the time during his last months and cancer illness. It was very soothing and peaceful for us during that difficult time. Know that your selections helped my fur baby as he was on his journey to heaven.

I see so many beautiful houses destroyed to make room for development…mainly new houses that are just very plain compared to the ones torn down….not only houses torn down, but all the lovely trees that had been there for years! Makes my heart sad!

Love the flowers. The "thistle" is actually eringeum, or sea holly. It's pretty easy to grow. Keep up the good work!
This is a lovely community here and Kevin is the perfect host! I'm excited to get your cookbook, I so enjoy your recipes and helpful tips. Since watching, I always have fresh flowers in my apartment. It does help me relax after a tiring day of work, and company always comments on them. It's the small things in life that sometimes make life enjoyable. It must be almost a full-time job and like others said, I don't know where you find time for all of your activities! You are truly an inspiration and I cook a lot more now that I am watching your videos you make it so easy. I am so glad you and Mr. Fox rescued that beautiful house and grounds. What a tragedy it would have been if it had been destroyed. You have restored it so beautifully. Fun to hear the questions that other viewers have. I too have wondered about Mr. Fox , but understand his preferring to be private from social media, as is not for everyone. I imagine him in my minds eye. I enjoy hearing you play classical music on the piano. I wonder if your house is on a historical register? In Wisconsin some people have their historical homes on a state registry. It's supposed to be a big deal, and sometimes they will even have a sign made with an explanation of their homes history. I've recently started watching and enjoy the casual feel of your superb presentation. I was just watch the Q & A vlog and hear you mention the bedroom wallpaper challenge. I don't know if you are aware of Chateau de Purnon but I've been watching their restoration of this 1788 Chateau and its quite interesting. They have found many wall papers on the walls and have had them recreated to be used in the project. The company doing the restoration had put out a line of wallpapers based on these very old designs. So, I thought of that when you mentioned not finding the right one. Perhaps you would like to turn in and get the name of the company which I'm sure they have shared a few times. There is some lovely period designs that are have been and is going in to this chateau. Anyway, thank you for your work on this vlog that I enjoy. Also, just tried the Marmalade Loaf Cake: Absolutely amazing. I make a lot of loaf style cakes and this one is at the top of my list now. Living alone, I slice the cake, wrap each slice individually in Press 'n Seal and freeze. 15 seconds or so in the microwave and its like fresh baked. Yes, even this marmalade cake (but I could not find the flower decorations soon enough for this baking. It has done well in the freezer, though.
I share your love for fresh flowers, always have them in my house. I even put them in tiny vases in the bathrooms.
