      John Trevett The Bible says that were it possible even the elect would be deceived (Mt. 24:24). David Wilkerson said that this means they can be because "with God all things are possible." However, no one with God is deceived in Him and so this would be counted as nothing and not something His power made possible. God will show you what His election of you means, you can receive it no other way. Just don't believe anyone else, especially those claiming to be Christians (a term invented by unbelievers in Antioch to categorize and marginalize those in whom the true faith exists. God's people do have a new name, but it has never been "Christian," for if it was, those not reborn in the Spirit would not be able to give it utterance.)

      "If the natural man has a free will to believe the gospel, then why does he need grace? If his will is naturally free then it would do away with the need for grace altogether...To teach that the natural man has a free will overthrows the gospel ... it is precisely because man is in bondage that he needs Christ to set him free." +John Trevett +McKinley Caughman
      You are both right...
      There is generic free will and unique free will.
      Generic free will is basically "I can move right or left, and I get to choose that by my free will."
      Unique free will is "God doesn't give me faith, I use my brain and my own understanding to figure out the best theology. I use generic free will to convince God that I believe in Him."
      Generic free will is obviously true, Unique free will obviously isn't.

    • @squelchtheory
      @squelchtheory 6 лет назад +5

      John Trevett Yes, man has a free will. He is not coerced to do anything. But his free will is completely fallen and imperfect or sinful. He can’t choose right in his own unless God let him and guide him to find his way TO God.

    After 9 years He opened my eyes for this. And it started one year ago. Instead of walking in own strength and expectation incase of a girl i really love sincerly, He revealed my walk in own strength and linked it to disappointment. I could only look to the sky since then. Exactly what He wanted, my never ceasing prayer for her. Her repentance will come, because He said expect it from Me, and i believe 100% that HE will not disappoint. He gave the needed faith when He spoke last year, and the end result of that is that i now believe in predestination and election. This is the short version trust me haha. God is good always! Our loving Father in the heavens is to be praised forever and ever ❤️🙏🏼

    I live in the middle of free-will theology; think there's somethin' in the water. The Word and saints who keep it in front of me with books and music are more valuable to me than words can say. My adult son introduced his mother and me to Shai Linne years ago. Love this dude! He preaches God's Truth musically - and I am not even a fan of hip-hop. But I am a BIG fan of God's truth and this fella is full of it! Let the saints PRAISE THE NAME OF THE LORD!

      Wouldnt that mean GOD calls many but because of those who refuse to repent, GOD chooses a few out of the many? Also JESUS said he would have gathered Israel like a mother hen does her chicks, but they "would" not... Sounds like JESUS drew them but they wouldn't yield... The bible says we can frustrate the grace of GOD... so why is the "I" in tulip for irresistible grace?

    • @Pyroverbs205
      @Pyroverbs205 4 года назад +1

      Because He does call ALL men everywhere to be saved.
      But we refuse to (due to love for our sin), so God has to choose us.
      And in choosing us/the elect, (the truly born again) His elect can't resist His grace.

    The most common objection to the doctrine of predestination is that it is unfair. Why would God choose certain individuals and not others? The important thing to remember is that no one deserves to be saved. We have all sinned (Romans 3:23), and are all worthy of eternal punishment (Romans 6:23). As a result, God would be perfectly just in allowing all of us to spend eternity in hell. However, God chooses to save some of us. He is not being unfair to those who are not chosen, because they are receiving what they deserve. God’s choosing to be gracious to some is not unfair to the others. No one deserves anything from God; therefore, no one can object if he does not receive anything from God. An illustration would be a man randomly handing out money to five people in a crowd of twenty. Would the fifteen people who did not receive money be upset? Probably so. Do they have a right to be upset? No, they do not. Why? Because the man did not owe anyone money. He simply decided to be gracious to some.

      I know i'm late to this conversation. I am glad Shai made this song it kinda helps... That being said I used to try to make up analogies like you did with the money. The only gripe I have with those analogies is that, those who didn't receive the money aren't be sent to hell. Where as in within the subject of salvation, those who aren't chosen are being condemned to an eternity full of suffering.

    God is perfect and His love is perfect. What we know as love is barely a shadow of what perfect love is. To say that a loving God would not create reprobates is to say that you know what perfect love is.

    • @vhebert333
      @vhebert333 8 лет назад

      No: God did not create reprobates. Reprobates are Satan's reproduction. God did create Lucifer, yes. Lucifer's free will undermined him (see Ezek. 28.). So God did not create evil but good. Everything God created was good. Lucifer's free will to sin was as extreme as was his beauty and perfection. He has labored diligently to embarrass God by corrupting men and having men blame God when it is him all along. This is according not to hearsay or tradition but the Bible itself. See also Isaiah 14:13-14. That spirit (In Ezek 28 and Isaiah 14) is in man and according to the Bible, must be replaced by the Spirit of Jesus Christ (Phil. 1:19).

    • @manutd4eva428
      @manutd4eva428 8 лет назад

      +V Hebert Yes: God did create those who became reprobates, but he didn't make them become so. They chose it of their own free will. But a reprobate can still come to Christ, the same as any of us. Really we're all just as bad as a reprobate because we are all sinners.

    • @tanyahettler4812
      @tanyahettler4812 9 лет назад +2

      Hi Curtis - Yep, I see your point, but the truth is that in our sinful condition, no one, no not one, will take this offer from God unless God first changes (regenerates) the person's heart - FIRST. We aren't sick, we are dead. So the offer you quote does stand, but 100 people out of 100 will reject it without God's regeneration - not God's help - God's total regeneration of the heart. The problem is the depth of our sinfulness - to say that we are "good enough" to choose God is to give us much more credit for "goodness" than the Bible does. We just aren't that good. We need a radical solution - God's gracious regeneration FIRST, THEN we will choose to drink the Water of life.

    • @iceman71true12
      @iceman71true12 9 лет назад +2

      trut,but we were talking about predestination,the Doctrine of predestination, God didn't just choose some and let the rest go to hell, He give all mankind the offer to believe in His Son Jesus (John 3:16) and John 7:37, His desire is for all mankind to be saved although we know that will not be the outcome, but the message is spoken unto all regardless those who choose to believe will be save.

      Have to born again by the holy spirit to drink freely (Not our decision) the drink free of GIFT of the water of life.
      John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of the Spirit (SPIRIT), he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
      John 1:13 They are reborn--not with a physical birth resulting from human decision or plan, but a birth that comes from God.
      1 Corinthians 12:3 no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit (SPIRIT).
      Revelation 22:17 The Spirit (SPIRIT) and the bride say, "Come!" And let the one who hears say, "Come!" Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift (GIFT) of the water of life.
      Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift (NOT FROM YOURSELVES ITS A GIFT) of God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.

      Romans 9:11 Yet, before (BEFORE) the twins were born or had done anything good or bad-in order that God’s purpose in election might stand: not by works but by him who calls-she was told, “The older will serve the younger.”Just as it is written: “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated. (They did nothing)”
      Malachi 1:2 "I have loved you," says the LORD. "But you ask, 'How have you loved us?' "Was not Esau Jacob's brother?" the LORD says. "Yet I have loved Jacob,but Esau I have hated.
      Because God loves Jacob and hates/rejects Esau he makes Jacob the great nation of Israel.
      Genesis 35:10 God said to him, "Your name is Jacob, but you will no longer be called Jacob; your name will be Israel." So he named him Israel.
      John 13:18 "I (Jesus) am not referring to all of you; I know those I have chosen.
      Ephesians 1:4 For he (God the father) chose us in him (Jesus/God the son) before (BEFORE) the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love
      John 17: 9 (Jesus) I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours. All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them.

    God choose all of us on the cross, that's part of the point of dying for all sin, and also John 3:16 "....that whoever...". Also God is out of time, thus He knew us before we were born and so thus He knows the decisions we will make bc He knows the future. Then bc He died for all man (and definitely not only the ones He "predestined" ) all mam have equal chance to go to heaven bc he is a just God and will give us opportunities through-out our life... (for those who died in early age or very complex situations, then we can't know about their salvation, we'd just after to ask Him when the time comes) getting back to the point, bc he is a just God and gives us opportunities through-out our lives to follow him, we are thrn accountable for our actions in the judgment. coz how would God with all sovereign wisdom, be just if he judges the pple (about the choices they made in life,) if they never had a chance bc he predestined them. It doesn't make sense. God gave US free will do that (first do that we would not be robots but also that) in our free will choose him back by and trade our sins for his righteousness. (bc our flesh is weak, and also greater is he who is in me than he that is in the world.) many versus completely speak against predestined salvation one in particular being 2 Pet 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
    TO SUM: NO ONE IS PREDESTINED WHAT SO EVER. yes He chose us first (but out of His impartial grace and love) chose ALL of us. but many reject Him.

    "But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ."-2 Thessalonians 2:13-14.
    F there were no other text in the sacred Word except this one, I think we should all be bound to receive and acknowledge the truthfulness of the great and glorious doctrine of God's ancient choice of his family. But there seems to be an inveterate prejudice in the human mind against this doctrine; and although most other doctrines will be received by professing Christians, some with caution, others with pleasure, yet this one seems to be most frequently disregarded and discarded. In many of our pulpits it would be reckoned a high sin and treason to preach a sermon upon election, because they could not make it what they call a "practical" discourse. I believe they have erred from the truth therein. Whatever God has revealed, he has revealed for a purpose. There is nothing in Scripture which may not, under the influence of God's Spirit, be turned into a practical discourse: for "all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable" for some purpose of spiritual usefulness. It is true, it may not be turned into a free-will discourse-that we know right well-but it can be turned into a practical free-grace discourse: and free-grace practice is the best practice, when the true doctrines of God's immutable love are brought to bear upon the hearts of saints and sinners. Now, I trust this morning some of you who are startled at the very sound of this word, will say, "I will give it a fair hearing; I will lay aside my prejudices; I will just hear what this man has to say." Do not shut your ears and say at once, "It is high doctrine." Who has authorized you to call it high or low? Why should you oppose yourself to God's doctrine? Remember what became of the children who found fault with God's prophet, and exclaimed, "Go up, thou bald-head; go up, thou bald-head." Say nothing against God's doctrines, lest haply some evil beast should come out of the forest and devour you also. There are other woes beside the open judgment of heaven- take heed that these fall not on your head. Lay aside your prejudices: listen calmly, listen dispassionately: hear what Scripture says; and when you receive the truth, if God should be pleased to reveal and manifest it to your souls, do not be ashamed to confess it. To confess you were wrong yesterday, is only to acknowledge that you are a little wiser to-day; and instead of being a reflection on yourself, it is an honour to your judgment, and shows that you are improving in the knowledge of the truth. Do not be ashamed to learn, and to cast aside your old doctrines and views, but to take up that which you may more plainly see to be in the Word of God. But if you do not see it to be here in the Bible, whatever I may say, or whatever authorities I may plead, I beseech you, as you love your souls, reject it; and if from this pulpit you ever hear things contrary to this Sacred Word, remember that the Bible must be the first, and God's minister must lie underneath it. We must not stand on the Bible to preach, but we must preach with the Bible above our heads. After all we have preached, we are well aware that the mountain of truth is higher than our eyes can discern; clouds and darkness are round about its summit, and we cannot discern its topmost pinnacle; yet we will try to preach it as well as we can. But since we are mortal, and liable to err, exercise your judgment; "Try the spirits whether they are of God"; and if on mature reflection on your bended knees, you are led to disregard election-a thing which I consider to be utterly impossible-then forsake it; do not hear it preached, but believe and confess whatever you see to be God's Word. I can say no more than that by way of exordium.

    This song is so awesome with biblical truth.
    I just wish Willie Will would have said "kill" not "murder"
    Everyone who dies God kills because God predetermines their days and steps and at His appointed time they die by His will and plan.
    God cannot murder. Murder is a type of killing that is always sin.
    God does not and cannot sin.
    He is Sovereign, He has the right to take a life whenever He pleases , so it is never "murder" Im aware murder was used as slang by the artist, but it was an unwise choice

      It is possible for God to murder just as it was possible for Jesus to give in to temptation. However we know that he doesn't because he gives a direct command against murder and God is not a hypocrite.

      God has never made a law in which He cannot take a life for any reason Therefore He is never in violation when He does
      According to scriptures teaching, MURDER is the unlawful taking of a life by man, in other words any taking of a life by man outside the guidelines god has set for man.
      God not only does not sin He cannot.
      It was not possible for Jesus to sin.
      Why the temptation then? Because as a man he was to undergo temptation as all men do under the law, but his perfect inability to sin testified to and demonstrated His deity, God does all things for the demonstration of His power, will, and plan.
      If Jesus was able to sin He would not be God
      All three persons of the Godhead are perfect and immutable in their ontology as deity. Jesus' deity, attributes He shared with the Father and the Spirit never ceased or changed ontologically ,only His independant function in those attributes For he came in the roll of a servant. Therefore He only did and knew what the Father told Him The Mystery of the incarnation is that Jesus was limited , yet remained fully God. This is partially understood by understanding that The Father, The Son and The Holy spirit share the same set of attributes since they are the one God. There is not three sets of attributes. So when Jesus was made to be ignorant, the Father And the Spirit still operated in fully functional omniscience And gave access to this to Jesus Its hard to explain with out the right theological language , but the truth of Scripture is that during His Incarnation the function of Jesus' omnisicence was in the hand of the Father and given to Him according to the Father's will
      The Father The Son and The Holy Spirit are equal in nature power attributes eternality etc. but have roles that differ in someways in the triune Godhead

      +all4Hisgloryalone If Jesus was unable to sin then the temptation wasn't temptation, because he was unable to sin.

      The Devil tempted Him That is why it is called the Temptation of Christ.
      No where does it even suggest that Christ found the devil's offer "Tempting".
      To have the action of someone tempting you to do something is not the same as that offer actually being desirable to you.
      Think about it ....Why would anything The devil offered Him in that temptation be "tempting" to Jesus
      Jesus already owns all the kingdoms of the world, and listen to His answers on the other offers. This was all done by God for our sakes to Demonstrate before man The foolishness of Satan and The perfect obedience and deity of Christ

    The analogy of drowning, yes we were dead at the bottom. BUT, the point made is about love. God is love. Before I was saved and I was to judge the earth, I would've sent tons to hell. Now that I have been born again I would save everyone if I could. So, did God give me a greater love than He has? Absolutely unBiblical

    • @mrhonolulu841
      @mrhonolulu841 8 лет назад

      +Gaming 4 Christ Your idea of "God giving you a 'greater love' than He has" is what is unbiblical; and supported nowhere in Scripture. Isn't it amazing? Your own misconception about Reformed Theology (without sound biblical study) is what makes you think it to be unbiblical. Yet, should you ever decide to play this song, again (pausing frequently to take notes), you will find out that God's mercy and grace (which "has appeared unto all men": Titus 2:11) validates Reformed Theology as 100% biblical.

      God did not chose who would go to Hell, that is the usual response to the Biblical doctrine of God's right to choose. But you missed it. ALL of mankind is born Dead in sin condemned to Hell because of original sin passed on from Adam and we prove we are sinners at our core when we act according to our fallen nature, our dead in sins, slaves to sin human wills that is captive to sin which is Why we sin. That is why ALL mankind Justly earns Hell. God does not send us, we march there with chest out as we sin and love our sin and hate God's Holy law and spurn his grace and mercy...And Yet He saves some who are no different than all the rest who are rebelliously marching to Hell
      while hostile and hating Him.
      That is election. All who are in Hell now and who are currently headed there go gladly and with chest out and fist up at God. And unregenerate if man given the chance to remain in Hell or bend their knee to Christ as King would choose to remain in Hell for eternity Unless God brings them to spiritual life.
      You think God is unjust because you think fallen man is basically good. You think its unfair that God would allow men go to Hell because you think they don't deserve it. You don't understand the infinite offensiveness of sin against the infinite Holiness of God.

    Some say that Calvinism teaches "I am chosen, and you are not".
    QUESTION: Give me ONE time during this track did either rapper ever make such a statement (or anything remotely like it)?
    I'll wait....
    in the meantime, it is the proponents of Arminiasm and other false ideologies that deny the sovereignty of God (Psalm 115:3), which puff up man to be above God, and erroneously claim that one can "lose his salvation...." (read Ephesians 1:13, and John 6:37; study up on the "Seal of the Holy Spirit"), "....if we don't continue in good works and endure until the end."
    Foolish Christians, the Gift of God *created the true believers in Christ unto good works*, but, He alone empowers the true saints to continue in them!
    are you more powerful than God, to claim "Well, I once was a Christian and did ____ _____; but not anymore."
    How ridiculous.
    Your salvation wasn't "lost".
    You NEVER had it to begin with!!

      Study Joseph Arminius, he did not believe you could lose your salvation. He believed that all were dead in sin and only the power of God could change that. The only difference is he believed the Bible and not a false teaching from a man named John Calvin whom himself claimed he received the Holy Spirit at infant baptism. Joseph believed the power of God is the Gospel, and not the Holy Spirit just zapping or regenerating whom He chooses an not zapping others. This theology defies the love of God and denies the Scriptures of how He died for All, 1 Jn 2:2 and Jn 3:16 to name a couple

    I see in one place, God presiding over all in providence; and yet I see, and I cannot help seeing, that man acts as he pleases, and that God has left his actions to his own will, in a great measure.
    Now, if I were to declare that man was so free to act, that there was no presidence of God over his actions, I should be driven very near to Atheism; and if, on the other hand, I declare that God so overrules all things, as that man is not free enough to be responsible, I am driven at once into Antinomianism or fatalism.
    That God predestines, and that man is responsible, are two things that few can see. They are believed to be inconsistent and contradictory; but they are not. It is just the fault of our weak judgment. Two truths cannot be contradictory to each other.
    If, then, I find taught in one place that everything is fore-ordained, that is true; and if I find in another place that man is responsible for all his actions, that is true; and it is my folly that leads me to imagine that two truths can ever contradict each other.
    These two truths, I do not believe, can ever be welded into one upon any human anvil, but one they shall be in eternity: they are two lines that are so nearly parallel, that the mind that shall pursue them farthest, will never discover that they converge; but they do converge, and they will meet somewhere in eternity, close to the throne of God, whence all truth doth spring.

    The key to predestination is receiving what it means for your particular person as fulfilling the Word of God that He has appointed according to who He foreknew you to be within Himself from the very beginning. The contradiction unbelievers who claim to be able to make themselves someone to Him through their own works cite is inaccurate and self-defeating when you take into account that even though what you will do for Him has already been decided, you still have to choose to agree with Him in it for it to be done. If you consider that the Nephilim have returned to the earth since the days of the flood it dispells the idea that God's election is unfair, because how will those who were not there with Him from the beginning be predestined by Him?

    please consider who the letters in the Bible are addressed to. Its not singular rather plural. Its addressing the church. Predestination is a church doctrine not an individual doctrine. The church was predestined by God before time, not an individual person. No man is born condemned. That would contradict the Scriptures. Predestination of the unbiblical kind supports pride and many other sins, such as self righteousness.

    Everyone who comes to Christ is elected. However if predestination is teached like before God created the heavens and the earth He allready chose a certain group people to go to heaven and others He made to go chanceless to hell, it's a heretic teaching. Because you certainly will preach straight against Timothy and Peter. We are predestined in the forknowledge of God before he layed the foundations of this world. That my brothers and sisters is a very very big diffirence! Don't be mislead! The biggest illness in the body of Christ is pick and choose verses like Will does incase of Romans. He picks some verses out of context which is dangerous, we need to keep verses in context, and the context itself we need to compare with other Scriptures to understand the full truth about subjects.

      Here is a secret: Jesus is elect (Isaiah 42:1; 1 Peter 2:6 see the KJV) and chose and foreknown. AFTER a persons believes they are sealed IN HIM (Eph 1:12-14) and Jesus is IN THEM (Gal 2:20) and that is what makes a persons elect, chose and foreknown. I got a video explaining. Calvinism uses flattering, false humility with the intent to deceive.
