    Is there a way to install the 034 pucks without removing the subframe? Is there a special tool to remove / press in the pucks?

    • @034motorsport
      @034motorsport  3 года назад +3

      Replacing the subframe pucks should be done by a professional shop since it requires a special VAG tool to press these into the subframe.

    I currently have the street density upper mounts and both lower metal inserts in the stock pucks in my mk7.5 gti. NVH is I little higher than I'd like even with the stock pendulum, would you think going to the street density lower pucks and your arm without the inserts be harsher, softer or about the same? TIA

    • @034motorsport
      @034motorsport  2 года назад +2

      The pucks are likely to create an NVH at idle. With the inserts properly installed in the stock pucks, there should only be noticeable slight NVH on initial take-off and in reverse. These should not be detectable during idle.

      @@034motorsport ok thanks, that is mainly my concern. In the winter take off rattles my interior, it's perfectly fine in the summer. Will the take off NVH from just the street density be higher than OEM + inserts?

    • @034motorsport
      @034motorsport  2 года назад

      @@crimsonsw21 Unfortunately we have no way of really quantifying that, neither will have objectionable NVH.

      @@034motorsport ok thank you. I've been trying to find some reviews on them but I've found nothing. Everyone is all about polyurethane, and say the street density fail so they don't recommend them. As a mechanic myself I know that stuff needs to be used for it's intended purpose, and street density mounts are for a OEM+ setup and not for clutch dumps and abuse such like that. I want less compliance than stock, but less NVH than polyurethane, even if it means replacing mounts every few years. I'm more worried about the lower as that requires dropping the subframe, the upper mounts are easy enough to do in a afternoon at home

    For the b8.5 Audi S4, I want to install the 178mm crank pulley (the smaller version), do I still have to cut into the car to fit the pulley? Or is that only for the bigger crank pulley?

    • @034motorsport
      @034motorsport  3 года назад

      The 179mm pulley should fit without modification!

    Are these products available for the ea211 engine mk6 1.4t Jetta? I have been on the fence with getting the insert and found this video today. Seems as though this product is superior to the poly insert ones. Id like to get this style of insert if possible. Thank you

    When I installed my Dogbone and inserts I had very noticeable nvh. Also a chatter sound at idle. I would like to get this fixed and installed properly. I have been in contact with your service people however they seem to email just once a day. Someone has said to install the inserts and Dogbone however before you don’t torque the puck side all the way keep it a few turns less then torqued and rock the motor then but in neutral instead of park then torque the bolt to spec. It doesn’t say that on the instructions however will this work?

    I installed the upper and lower inserts on my Mk6 GTI and am getting a lot of vibrations. Is there a break in period? The actual oe subframe bushings were replaced recently so I wouldn’t suspect it’s anything to do with those.

      You will have to look underneath your vehicle to see if you need Version 1 or Version 2 of our lower dogbone mount insert.

    Installed the dogbone mount and insets on my s3 8v. On the dogbone arm itself do I need to tighten the bolt that's on it or is it already tighten to spec from you guys?

      The arm is torqued to spec right out of the box and ready to be installed on your vehicle!

      It is likely because it is spinning with the spherical bearing. This is part of the design and the use of a spherical bearing allows for this.
