Amit Kumar was a genius. He never imitated his father. I can't say whether it was his arrogance or some politics against him but he always blamed Kishore copycats like Kumar Sanu, Abhijeet and others (without naming them) for his premature retirement from Bollywood. But I love his songs like "Dil bole" from Fight Club and " Dekha jo tujhe Yaar" from Apna sapna money money. I pray to the Almighty that he gets a second inning like his father got with Aradhana.

Excellent, balanced coverage. I consider Amit Kumar a very talented & skilled singer. And I for one do NOT compare him with Kishore. Since he shares his father's DNA and obviously idealizes him, it is only natural to have similarities. However, for the most part, I feel Amit has his own UNIQUE STYLE. Once Kumar Sanu and all the other Kishore clones entered the industry, everyone simply ignored/overlooked Amit Kumar. I look forward to more melodious, sweeter music from him as opposed to the kind of albums he has made.

Unfortunate how? He was too cocky and too arrogant. He thought that just because his father was Kishore he could automatically take over
Amit Kumar was a genius. He never imitated his father. I can't say whether it was his arrogance or some politics against him but he always blamed Kishore copycats like Kumar Sanu, Abhijeet and others (without naming them) for his premature retirement from Bollywood. But I love his songs like "Dil bole" from Fight Club and " Dekha jo tujhe Yaar" from Apna sapna money money. I pray to the Almighty that he gets a second inning like his father got with Aradhana.
No comparison with his multi talented father but must say not less than his father. God bless Amit kumar. Salute to Amit. ❤❤❤❤❤

Excellent, balanced coverage. I consider Amit Kumar a very talented & skilled singer. And I for one do NOT compare him with Kishore. Since he shares his father's DNA and obviously idealizes him, it is only natural to have similarities. However, for the most part, I feel Amit has his own UNIQUE STYLE. Once Kumar Sanu and all the other Kishore clones entered the industry, everyone simply ignored/overlooked Amit Kumar. I look forward to more melodious, sweeter music from him as opposed to the kind of albums he has made.
