Great to see you both out and enjoying Bell, yes we we're undecided about a screen cover at 1st (due to the price) but we bought a polar screen from polar themselves it was £125 and was the best item we purchased for the motorhome (and will fit our new van when we get it) absolutely brilliant, also keeps the van cooler on hot days win win happy travelling both xx

Great video guys, defo get a good external screen, we went for a minster at around £130, one of our best buys, remember the internal blinds are only paper and could ruin if you get a lot of condensation, really keeps the cab area warmer, a defo if you want to tour during the winter months, if its wet when you pack away we just chuck ours in the shower cubivle to drain. Keep up the good work 👍

Hi Michelle and Kieth. Enjoyed your latest video. I was surprised to see you using the karcher window cleaner to clear the condensation. We only bought our campervan last year and we thought long and hard before buying a silver screen. However, it's the one accessory we really appreciate more than any other.. When using it we get no condensation whatsoever and it keeps the campervan much warmer on very cold nights.

Great vlog as always. Silverscreens do eliminate condensation, but just be aware if it has rained (or snowed) you will have a damp screen to pack away. Having said that I wouldn’t be without mine as it also makes my campervan considerably warmer.

Window vacs are useful accessories to have in a MH or caravan but the silverscreen does so much more than prevent condensation, thermal insulation (hot and cold), light blocking, eliminates the need to defrost the screen on winter mornings as well as providing some physical protection for the screen. I wouldn't be without mine

100% get silver screen from company called Silver screen! Keep warm in winter and will notice the difference and keep motorhome cool in summer. Best Buy I bought for our motorhome no more water!

Hi guys.. Thanks for your vids really useful and informative.. What I an looking forward to is how you get on for longer periods in your MH.. A few years back, my wife and I was torn between buying a caravan or a motorhome and took ages to decide. Whilst I know there is a large gap between price, the decision was more about our needs and life style. Eventually the Caravan won as we wanted the freedom to visit places and explore the area using our tow car, without the need to pack up and use a motorhome to travel around. We still think we have made the right choice, but it will be interesting to see how you guys get on later in the season and give your opinions.. Keep up the good work and enjoy your travels in 2022..

You can get the moisture on the screen with the vac, but what about the moisture that goes down behind the dash??

Hi both thanks for another great vlog👍🏻Only a quick question you mentioned in one of your other vlogs that you were still keeping the "Beast" as it was such an amazing car. I was just wondering what your thoughts were on towing with the sorento compared the bmw? We are looking to purchase another tow car that doesn't restrict us later on, if we decide to upgrade the caravan for a heavier twin axle. We were looking at a few different options bmw x3, Audi Q5, Sorento but this seems to be a good choice with the towing capacity. Also if you have any tips of what year to go for i.e. 2013-2015 with spec, sat nav etc, and also if you had any issues with both yours and would you buy another one? Apologies for all the questions but with the price of second hand cars going through the roof at the moment we want to make sure we get the right one as otherwise it could be an expensive mistake. Thanks.
Hi Emyr, Apologies for our delay in responding to your comment 🤗 We absolutely loved our Sorento & changed from the BMW X3 as the towing capacity of the Sorento is 2.5 tons. Although we found the X3 to be an extremely useful car, when towing our twin axle caravan, it did struggle a little bit on hills. No such problem with the Sorento! Obviously, ultimately it’s down to you, your preferences & of course budget. The Sorento does have a lot more space inside & personally we preferred it to the the X3. @@keithandmichele Thank you for your reply it’s very much appreciated👍🏻 We were leaning towards the Sorento due to it’s towing capacity and having done research also it’s reliability. We are slightly determined by our budget, hence why we were looking at a maximum of 2015 models as the prices of the newer models were out of our budget. It’s also good to know that there’s plenty of space in there as we put the awning, aqua roll, wastemaster, and boxes etc in the car👍🏻 Did you have a manual or automatic? Also the million dollar question do intend keeping yours and or would you buy another one? Also we love the motorhome it is really lovely and has the same colourings purple as and our caravan.Thanks Emyr & Karen.👍🏻
Hi Emyr & Karen, our Sorento was a 2014 automatic. We have recently sold it as, to be honest, it was really surplus to requirements now we’ve got the motorhome. Initially we thought we’d keep it, as it’s such a great all round car, but we just weren’t using it enough to justify the cost of keeping it. Without doubt, should the occasion arise, we wouldn’t hesitate to get another one. Superb car, really spacious, very comfortable & gorgeous to look at 😀

Please comment on what I see is the disadvantage of motorvan over caravan, and that is the need to break camp when you want to go somewhere.

@@keithandmichele thanks, I look forward to it. I started caravanning almost forty years ago, and although I have not done so for the last ten years or so, it always seemed to be an issue. I do know that one can buy free-standing awnings that remain in situ, whilst the camper is driven away.
