Yes, the weather is amazing! Although home prices are high you get more benefit from the value appreciation of the home, and traditionally we have great year over year appreciation. Land is scarce and there are many jobs here.
You might add that the city is anti-vehicle. Downtown is trashed with ugly plastic posts and confusing cement barriers in the middle of the roads. We cannot back out of our driveway straight now without hitting the recently installed cement barrier in the street. If a car is parked near our driveway entrance we struggle to maneuver between that car and the barrier. Road diets, which take away lanes, have pushed more cars speeding in once quiet neighborhoods. With many homes being occupied with multiple families street parking can be quite a challenge also. One resident was complaining sometimes he has to park blocks away when he gets home. Homelessness is another factor to consider. It's rampant in San Jose. One thing I can say for the homeless, they use the bike lanes more than the residents. They'll be pushing their shopping carts down the bike lanes while scooters and residential bicyclists use the sidewalks. Again, the city does not want to make it any easier for drivers otherwise roads would be widened, parking made more prevalent, and stoplights timed. It will only get worse.
@Priyadarshee Sinha Hello! The cost of renting a house will really depend on the location. You can expect to rent a house for a minimum of $3,000. You'll have to budget for water, garbage, and electricity. I will do a video on the cost of living in San Jose soon.
Is this a recommended place to date & settle down? I live in Oahu but find it a lil too slow paced for my liking and many of the men here want to surf and relax all day even tho the cost of living is just as expensive as San Jose🤯🤯🤯
Hello, I want to move to San José and I want to know what it takes to rent a room for 2 people? And how can I find out about a good school for my 11-year-old son? Thank you...
Hello Michelle. It depends on the location. You could potentially find something around $2,000. Email me at Amanda@AmandaVang.com and I can send some info about schools.
Rent is more expensive than the rest of the country, however, food and other activities are comparably priced. There are also tons of free things to do! Check out my other video on free things to do in San Jose! ruclips.net/video/rm8jg42pJZc/видео.html
Hey I am planning to move San Jose on H1b with 140G along with family of 2kids and wife. Is that possible we can make it through with the offer I got ?? Please give your valuable information.
I moved out. TRAFFIC. PARKING ISSUES TICKETS .NO FREE PARKING TICS ST PARK LAKES ARE POLUTED .ROAD RAGE SHOOTINGS. PEOPLE MAKING HOMES IN BACK OF HOMES . THE BEACHES AFE DIRTY. PRO THE WEATHER. RENT IS HIGH.
I have been living in San Jose CA since 1991 (South San Jose). And I paid off my house. San Jose CA has many restaurants, Vietnamese restaurants, Japanese restaurants, shopping center, malls and more... If you paid off your house and don't need to make monthly payment , you can enjoy to live in San Jose otherwise rent is so high now. ($4500-$5000K/month).
If you want the truth about san jose reply with a question....I've lived here for my whole life and I'll tell you the point of view from the regular people, not the gentrified wealthy ones.
@@AmandaVangRealEstate wow, thats interesting! I googled it " Hmong belong to the Mongoloid or Mongolian race, and do so the Han and other Asians. Thus, we can say that Hmong belong to the Mongolian race; although Hmong is not the same ethnically as the Mongols. Hmong and Mongol are two different ethnic groups, with many differences in culture and customs." and if you look at Mongols and Kazakhs...they are very much look the same...Probably if you do DNA test, you may show up same groups :)
Hi Natazia, while things may be closed now, I do not believe places will be closed forever and the information will still be useful when things have reopened fully. :)
All in all, I love San Jose. What is your favorite or least favorite thing about San Jose?
Rent and home prices are way too high. The only redeemable thing about San Jose is the weather.

My favorite thing is the great food; my least favorite thing is the amount of homeless.
3ofus if they made pandering illegal the homelessness would go way down. But I agree with you.
I live in San jose
i really enjoyed the way you broke down the traffic! been living here my whole life and really cannt see myself moving
I live in San Jose. Another big con that you forgot is the growing number of homeless people everywhere.
