For those who are interested in the topic of polygonal masonry. A number of methods for obtaining the polygonal masonry are proposed. The basis of the proposed methods is the use of clay/gypsum replicas, a topography translator, and reduced clay models of the stone blocks along with a 3D-pantograph. The results are presented in the article: “Fabrication methods of the polygonal masonry of large tightly-fitted stone blocks with curved surface interfaces in megalithic structures of Peru”. Cusco is a fascinating place, the Cathedral is an impressive building as is much of the Spanish architecture but the pre-European polygonal masonry around Cusco and the surrounding area have techniques in their construction that are not well understood. Excellent high quality footage.
@@AncientTruthSeeker there is no proof whatsoever that the megaliths predate the inca. Before the Inca Cusco was a primitive group of villages.

Beautiful city, beautiful video. Fun fact: in the pan at 2:37 you can see how the city spreads out and spills up onto the hillsides in the distance. Most of those neighborhoods are actually on Google Street View and it's absolutely amazing to explore :-)
The only thing this wonderful video doesn't capture is the lack of oxygen; at 11,000 feet the air is very thin and you can't walk more than a few blocks without getting winded!

I am amazed at the stone work. The blocks fit together so tightly yet retain a pillow appearance on the exposed faces. There must have been a lot of hours spent with chisels for each block!
