Rwenzori mountains are located on the border between DR Congo and Uganda. Rwenzori Mountains National Park is a Ugandan national park and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
"The Rwenzori Mountains are the highest and most permanent sources of the River Nile, and constitute a vital water catchment. Their multitude of fast flowing rivers, magnificent waterfalls and stratified vegetation make the property exceptionally scenic and beautiful." (UNESCO)

Day 2 (1:32) - Nyabitaba Hut to John Matte Hut (3,505 m/11,500 ft).
Day 3 (4:38) - John Matte Hut to Bujuku Hut (3,962 m/13,000 ft).
Day 4 (7:45) - Bujuku Hut to Elena Hut (4,541 m/14,900 ft).
Day 5 (9:42) - Elena Hut to Kitandara Hut (4,023 m/13,200 ft).
Day 6 (11:12) - Kitandara Hut to Guy Yeoman Hut (3,505 m/11,500 ft).
Day 7 (14:03) - Guy Yeoman Hut to Kasese.

Probably, yes.
However in the book his expedition with Diego happens mostly in the Richtersveld mountains, which is more of a desert landscape .. as against the rainforests of Rwenzori/Virunga 🤷♂

@@MrXvavier1 to correct you Kaka...its "where the god Hapi dwells". The Nile river was known as the Hapi river to us Afrikans among many other names lost to colonialism.
This is the place where the true Almighty God formed Adam and Eve, Genesis ch 2. Cain killed his brother. Cain was sent out into the land where there was Already people. Those beings were like Cain except they were made from lucifer. Those beings were angel spirits in flesh bodies. The same angels that were kicked out of Eternity. GOD Almightys beings were Onyx to separate his beings from darkness; those other demonic beings that were in pale bright bodies. They enter mingled. And now you have the present day man. +Mikronesien05 yes, the trekking was hard, but so rewarding. So glad I finally did it, and also disappointed the weather was harsh at the high altitudes and I was not able to hike to the glacier.

This would not have been an easy hike and to capture the footage that you did in those conditions would have been very challenging. But you did it again and we the viewers are the appreciated ones. I walked the Rwenzori hike in 1983 and loved it. I went in January when it was supposed to be the dry season, yet it rained nearly all day, every day. I wonder what the rainy season is like. I see that the huts have been improved, and now there is a boardwalk across the Lower Bigo Bog. Back in 83' you had to slog your way through and I wouldn't want it different.

My father, a biologist, dreamed of hiking in the Rwenzori mountains one day. He never had the opportunity. I would love to do it myself some day, in part as a homage to him.
And its my home area view but i have never gone up there though am currently in diaspora but when i go back home i will use time to go up there
