For some reason the residential mail box wont change to a apartmentbase mailbox. I use the apartfront door and have the garden close from the outside. Anyone know why this happens?
You sometimes need to exit the lot (after using the cheat code to change the plot type) and reenter it. It should change the mailbox when you reenter. Sometimes it can be very funny and requires a few tries to get it, that's why I use the lot adjuster to change my lot types rather than the in game cheat codes. Not to sound condescending but are you also making sure you are typing the cheat code in 100% correct. The code needs to be exact for it to work, including spaces and capital letters. - changeLotZoning apartmentbase - It must be written exactly like this (minus the hythens) or it will not register.
@@devilishsimmer0101 When I exit the lot I see the swinging green logo above the lot. But most of the furniture is also gone when I enter a apartment. + the mailbox and trashcan remaining.. I can try it with capital letters. Maybe that was my mistake. I will check it😄
@granturismofan2751 yes the furniture will disapear. The furniture in the apartments are for set dressing so when townies move into an empty apartment and you vist their flat they will have all the furniture. The flat you rent only comes with the basics like the lights, kitchen, bathroom. You need to buy your own furniture when you move in. This can be remedied with the cheats. Activate, boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true And then when moving a family into the apartment, shift click on the door and you will get an option to rent furnished apartment.
