When traveling abroad out of the country the flashlight I usually carry is battery powered.1x.AA or1xAAA .. I usually run Energizer ultimate lithium... And I can always carry a spare battery... Rather than carrying something that needs to be charged with a charging cable...
hot tip: if you turn the button compass into a pendant with a bail, you can use the bail/where it attaches to the chain of the necklace/bracelet as a shed
I’ve just purchased a silvermans button compass holder that fits an old button compass (Francis Barker NATO Survival Button Compass) that I had from the 80’s , tested it against a new compass and still points same north, fits perfectly on my marathon navigator :) and very tough and will protect the compass hopefully.
I have been using the M9 compass for years. Only issue is the frame that holds the compass. Over time and hard-work it will break but the compass lasts a long time.
Used the M9 extensively on an XC mountain bike ride from Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon (approx 80 miles). Helped to quickly rule out several dirt tracks not on any type of map. SF
I have a couple of cold steel brand zytel knives but my favorite is the Cold steel Delta dart which is a triangular OSS type stabbing implement I have the non-metallic neck sheath ..
If your compass develops a bubble, place it in the airing cupboard overnight, the warmth should expand the liquid back into contact, obviously it depends on the size of the bubble though.
Water purification method. Wether it’s an actual system or iodine bring something. The locals may be able to drink the water just fine but it can wreak havoc on your body! That goes with domestic US travel as well.
Do you have a preference on what you have for EDC? I take a filter system into the back-country and I know a lot of current water bottles with filters are pushing the "good for international travel" angle but do you have any specific recommendations?
Curtis Jemand I bring the sawed squeeze with me in the field and some iodine. But another good option I keep i my car is a Vapur filter for my 1L eclipse bottle.
I came to this vid: For compasses? He talked about compasses for 4 minutes in a 20 minute video? But i didn’t know all compasses develop bubbles at some point so I did learn 1 thing?!
hi how to keep in survival kit button compass. there are so many metallic kit such pocket knife , stainless steel water bottle, and other metal items. how to keep compass in our kit
I have both a Suunto Core, Garmin Fenix 3, and the Apple Watch; Both the Core and Fenix have electronic compasses built in to them... Would you still recommend a button or wrist compass in conjunction with these watches? In contrast, I do have Suunto clipper on my Apple Watch knowing that the Apple Watch DOES NOT have a compass function (yet the iPhone does)
As a regular viewer for some time, I’ve noticed that you haven’t mentioned Black Rifle Coffee. Just curious if that’s because they’re already well established and don’t really need the press. Or is it a quality issue for you? Thanks for the good work!
Regarding button compasses. Why dont you just 3d print a watch band case for the Pyser? It's proven to be reliable. If you had a case for it that had a rotating bezel and a cover flap I'd be shouting.h urry up and take my money! I wear a seiko arnie reissue so I need the holder to fit that strap.
Now that you're improving the video quality and editing, it would be awesome if we had 4K footage or at least 1080p60FPS. I think it would help immensely the channel growth. Been a sub since the very beginning!
Curious why you think it would help? I watch in 720p because I'm not watching a movie and the additional bandwidth usage just isn't important to me. What will 60 fps or 4k get that isn't already there? (Not like suddenly more information will be in the videos...)
I happen to value quality in the content i'm watching, and unlike you i don't conform myself with a mediocre standard. It's 2018 and RUclipsrs all around the globe know that investing in camera equipment and pumping out higher quality content than the average 80-90% of people out there, will get you to your subscriber goal faster. Now, maybe you don't see it from a creator's POV, but that's the way you progress and stand out from the bunch (thus motivating you to pump out more videos for the people to enjoy).
I too value quality but what I value is the actual content. I fail to see how having Bryan in 4k will suddenly grow the subscriber base, people subscribe for the content of the video (like I do) and not just because it looks shiny in 4k... Right now it sounds like you are trying to sell some sort of content creation marketing, do you work for a camera manufacturer or a marketing company?
Button Compass begins @ ~ 6:45
Bless you child
Thank you. I need information; not personality.
6:28 the video starts here. The title says it's about button compasses... Not coffee or non-metallic knives. I came here for compasses.
Like the music 🎶 🎵 at the beginning it should be played in all coffee shops 👍

12:50 I was like, what? Another Anthony S. had a question? Thanks for all the button compass options.

I have had really good reliability with the Tru Nord compass. Great content ITS
Thanks.
I have one as well. What is your realistic use of it? Mine seems to bounce around alot with any movement.

The ABSOLUTE BEST button compass is the new Cammenga brass case wrist compass. I bought that one immediately. So tired of bubbles in the buttons.
Belle Cheytac It would have been if they'd put tritium in it.
I came to this vid:
For compasses?
He talked about compasses for 4 minutes in a 20 minute video?

Love the gear, looking at one of those MAS hoodies... trying to find the budget to keep grabbing up goodies like that.
pocket sand is an excellent choice for international edc
All I wanted to know what is the best button compass
You just got another sub just for the hilarious sass lmao but y'all can keep the coffee
Then you said Mowgwi 🥺
Nice! I wanted to know if there is such a thing as a compass the same size as an air tag?
Nice info
I can't seem to keep any button compass pointing north. I don't know what is knocking them off. Any suggestions?

New hairdo? Dye the beard? Thanks for questions over coffee!
What type of compass cliper is the best

is Brian looking more like Wolverine these days?
Button compasses are basically toys, aka, junk.
More coffee please
Nice video bro

You showed me no compasses, only named them. What's the point?
ahh, tap water coffee, ugh
Tap water? Yuck
I never understood why people like coffee.
I never understood why people don't like coffee.
MrTarfu
Yeah, Tea is much better-tasting and easier to prepare in-field.
I'm with you, not a coffee fan. But I wanted to reply because your avatar makes me keep scratching at my monitor trying to get the hair off ;)
MrTarfu So this guy can waste our time with boring preliminaries...
Burnt bean water, no ty.
Why are you talking about coffee
