I think you should definitely go for it and as long as you are dedicated/ passionate about such an amazing career then you will do just fine! YOU CAN DO IT 🙂

Hi, I am a 3rd year Mechanical Engineering student, what would you girls say is the key to landing an aerospace internship? What would you guys do on a regular day? I am honestly terrified of actually landing an internship, and just being useless or unknowledgeable enough to be of any help. I am also looking to pursue a Masters in Aerospace...and hopefully fulfill my dream of working on fighter jets. Do you have any tips for an average student like me to achieve a position like that?
Sounds like landing an internship with a defense company is what is best for you! This will open up opportunities to work on fighter jets as a career after you graduate! Don’t worry about not being “knowledgeable” enough for an internship, as long as you understand the concepts taught in school you will be able to learn what they teach you on the job. Employers don’t expect you to know how to build/ design fighter jets when you start working for them, they know they will have to teach you, as you are a student. Check out our resume and interview tip videos to land that internship!
Hiiii I'm a aspiring aerospace engineer and I'm having doubts because I might not get a job because aerospace engineers might not be in deman especially from someone in my country, also we aren't super rich so I might no be able to study in a famous university. I'm a filipino btw. Is there a chance for someone like me?
ice bear Hello! Well one thing you have to do is try and don’t give up, don’t tell yourself you can’t! Shift your thoughts and start believing in your dreams. Lots of universities have scholarships, you don’t have to be rich to attend top-notch universities. Study hard, and apply for scholarships in the pursuit of your dream✨🚀😊
Sadly I'm too late. I'm a sophomore in a university that doesn't have a aerospace engineering program. So as much as this career interests and as amazing it seem to work at NASA i will probably never get the chance. But I do find it interesting on learning on what people do as an aerospace engineer
You aren’t too late! There are all kinds of disciplines in the aerospace field - mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, industrial engineers, etc etc!
@@TheSTEMinistNetwork sorry I should have mentioned this in my comment, but my university provides no Engineering programs. When I joined this university I had a whole other career in mind and did not consider engineering at all. Which is why I realized that I may have doomed myself. But thank you very much for this. If possible I would try to go back to school for an aerospace engineering degree(if I can somehow find a way in which it will not damage me financially).
I’m a Latina woman and I tried applying in a university and the man that was going to fill out my application, said to consider a career change because it wasn’t for me, even though I told him I’ve been dreaming of studying aviation degree/certificate, was going for ‘airframe tech’. He didn’t even let me apply just told me “sorry it’s not for everyone” I felt so discouraged, but now I’m just motivated to change the school of my choice even though I really wanted that school :(
I'm a sophomore in high school now who is set on becoming an aerospace engineer. Do you have any suggestions on outside programs that I could take on that would provide me with more experience in the field?
There are some companies that will actually let high school students intern for weeks at a time at their company! Recommend looking into that and taking math/physics courses to prepare you for college.
I've really wanted to work for NASA since i was about 12. But then recently i found out that NASA only hires US citizens. It truly did disappoint me knowing that i couldn't one day work for the company i truly loved. How did she get to work for NASA since she said she's originally from Columbia?
From my job search experience, all positions (i.e. system, controls, software) related to space tech require us citizenship or PR status :(, not to mention projects that involves Mars mentioned in this video
Hi Alexandra, I'm in my early thirties and I'm considering going back to school for engineering. Due to my age, and having super power of ADHD (easily become extremely board but can hyper focus and perform well even under immense pressure) job security and flexibility is important. I definitely want to work on air craft and propulsion systems. At my age would you recommend Mechanical engineering for job security or just go for Aerospace engineering? Thanks in advance
I believe either would work and I wouldn’t let your age be a limiting factor stopping you from what you really want to do! There are many great aerospace companies/ jobs out there at the moment and it’ll keep increasing. If you aren’t 100% sure about aerospace then do mechanical.
Hi Don Thomas! The difference is that by having a systems engineering background you have the ability to think in a more “bigger picture” and understand how complex processes integrate with complex systems such as an airplane, drone, rockets. The aerospace engineering degree by itself is also useful, but it’s focused most on the different components of a flying object like an airplane, rocket, drone, satellite; but with an aerospace degree you can work in design, manufacturing, operations, test flight, structures/stress, even in the airline industry. For more content in the field of Aerospace you can follow my social media platform STEM for Aerospace in IG or Facebook. 🌟✈️🚀
I was selected as an aerospace engineering student in Amrita viswavidyapateem university in combaitire but unfortunately I lack financial support of family 😑😑
In my personal opinion in order to become a great candidate for any engineering company it helps to have many projects, leadership roles, and a strong GPA. (This is my personal opinion and not on behalf of Boeing)
I'm 15 this year and I'm aiming to become an aerospace engineering one day. Problem is I'm from Malaysia and I heard that I would get really low pays as an aerospace engineer here in my country. Where should I study aerospace engineering after middle school and work at?
Liandrie Senamrof Hi Liandrie! Yes, you can be an aerospace engineer if you graduated aero. My recommendations would be to expand your knowledge in rocket propulsion, space mechanics, and attitude and dynamics to relate the similar knowledge learned in aeronautics to astronautics you have the best of both worlds
I'm looking to take Aerospace Engineering but what if I'm not so good in math and haven't taken the hardest classes? I'm looking to go to Penn State. I'm interested in rockets and airplanes but more so space, does aerospace engineering involve space and other planets?
yes, aerospace engineering involves space! Keep studying for your math classes and get tutoring help. Don't give up! Aerospace Engineering is a fun career that pays well.
Can you do this interview in Spanish, I would like to show it to a lot of girls and boys in my City Schools... I can even lead the interview.. Por favor quiero ver esta entrevista en Español!!!

I’m interested in studying engineering but I have no science background. Would I still be able to join aerospace engineering in college? If yes what class or preparation do I need ?
If you aren’t in college yet don’t worry about it because that is the point of college, to learn! If you want to get a bit of a head start, although not necessary, you can take physics and math courses. ☺️
Hi!!! I am truly passionate about being an astronaut! If I pursue aerospace engineering can you tell what to do to become an astronaut and fly to space!!! I'm very interested in it plz tell me
I’m in 6th grade and I get all A’s and I wanna be an aerospace engineer. I’m going to middle school next year. Any tips to help me get closer to my dream job?
It is amazing that you already know what you want to be when you grow up! Our advice is for you to keep up the good grades, take advanced math/ physics classes once they become available to you, and become involved in robotics/ aerospace clubs!
Hey young engineer do take interest in your favourite subject it can be maths or physics or even chemistry studybit so much that you can represent your country in the international olympiad and bring medal for your country and these medals are worth a lot in college applications (like mit, harvard and each name you could come up with) so all the best and wish me luck too see you in Massachusetts;)

That is great, good luck with your studies.
Great job great achievement
Thank you! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I want to be like her in the future🕺🏻
You can do it!
Hiiii
I'm a aspiring aerospace engineer and I'm having doubts because I might not get a job because aerospace engineers might not be in deman especially from someone in my country, also we aren't super rich so I might no be able to study in a famous university.
You can do it! Nathalie’s advice is great and we believe in you! 🙂
What's the first thing I should do to get started in this career? Also how did you go to school did you pay for it or did it get paid for??
Take classes like physics and calculus. Also, everyone's situation is different some go to college on grants, scholarships, loans, etc.
The funny part is this I go in to happen after year school which is more than 10 years into the future
😬
@@deathstroke8639 try to transfer to another school
I’m a Latina woman and I tried applying in a university and the man that was going to fill out my application, said to consider a career change because it wasn’t for me, even though I told him I’ve been dreaming of studying aviation degree/certificate, was going for ‘airframe tech’. He didn’t even let me apply just told me “sorry it’s not for everyone” I felt so discouraged, but now I’m just motivated to change the school of my choice even though I really wanted that school :(
Don't let anyone discourage you from your goals.
love this inspiring video! 💕
@@TheSTEMinistNetwork Sounds good, thanks!
@@revaamritkar7281hi, any updates?
I've really wanted to work for NASA since i was about 12. But then recently i found out that NASA only hires US citizens. It truly did disappoint me knowing that i couldn't one day work for the company i truly loved. How did she get to work for NASA since she said she's originally from Columbia?
You may want to look into various NASA contractors that may have different requirements than those NASA has. Best of luck!
@@TheSTEMinistNetwork oh thanks.
She mentioned that she's from Venezuela so how she got job at NASA. Citizens of other countries are not allowed jobs at NASA or are they now?
Lol, most of the people sitting their and watching their future career and here I am trying to figure out what's my brother's job gonna be....
Sounds like you’re helping him! Very nice of you!
What is the difference between aerospace system engineering and aerospace engineering?

amazing thankyou so much
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Is it better to go to a university or a college if you want to be an aerospace engineer?
For the first two years either works! Then you could re-evaluate for the last two years to see which would be best for you at that point.
I am pursuing Aeronautical engineering now(completed 6th sem).. can you help me what skills should I have to work in Boeing?
In my personal opinion in order to become a great candidate for any engineering company it helps to have many projects, leadership roles, and a strong GPA. (This is my personal opinion and not on behalf of Boeing)
Does maths is hard in aeronautical engineering please tell me

I'm 15 this year and I'm aiming to become an aerospace engineering one day. Problem is I'm from Malaysia and I heard that I would get really low pays as an aerospace engineer here in my country. Where should I study aerospace engineering after middle school and work at?
The United States is a great place to study aerospace engineering! 😁
Though just know you can’t work on rockets for nasa nor space x if your not a US citizen.

Can you be an aerospace engineer even if you graduate at aeronautical engineering
Oh really thank you!!!,Im an incoming senior high and starting to prepare for my future..THANKS FOR THE ADVICE!!

What's advanced maths?
