I just tried this and Amazon took my request (typed in just like you did well with my stuff lol). I will test this out to see how it works out - if everything goes well I be changing the rest of my listings :). Thank you for this post!

    Hello Steven,
There's also another method which involves choosing five terms of your choice, the most relevant ones, and arranging them in the order you want when creating the listing, without including the brand name.
Just those five terms, then validate the title initially to generate a draft of the page, which then allows you to configure all the product page information (dimensions, constraints, weight, backend terms, launch date, etc.).
In a second step, you should keep this provisional title composed of the five terms until the product goes on sale. From there, the canonical URL will be normally created.
Once the product is available for sale, go back to the config page and change the title to an optimized one including the brand name.
During my tests, I noticed that the canonical URL is generated at the time the product goes on sale, not during the creation of the product page, and this caught me off guard.
Also, I heard that with the brand name, if you don't include it and Amazon adds it for you, they indeed place it at the beginning. However, if you integrate it yourself, you can place it at the end and normally, there shouldn't be any problem.
At least here in France, it might be different in the US, but normally it's not.
The advantage is that unless you are a recognized brand, it avoids blocking pixels so that customers can see the most important words, especially on mobile.
Wishing you all the best in any case!

Also something to note about listing brand name first in the title is that Amazon will display your brand name in search results in bold, and still give you four lines of title visible below it. So you lose some characters in your title, but still get the same number of characters visible in SERP. Plus the brand awareness.

Sometimes brand name is outside title on bold they are AB testing. Not always

Does the Brand Name also count in those first 5 words? Thanks

Yes. That's generally a problem. Thus ticket to set.

Will changing the URL mean that we will lose our current Google search rank and will have to build it up from scratch?

What about numbers? Can they add numbers to the URL? For example, 'Wristbands 3/4 inch'

If you wanted to do this with a large parent/child variation, I assume you would just get the Parent ASIN with the changed URL? Or would you pick the best selling variant ASIN and go with that one?

You mention the brand name being in front, is there a way to have Amazon stop removing my brand name from my listing title? The brand name is also the product name, so you can see how this is an issue across all of my product line
