Imagine being mad teachers now can protect themselves and your child. While being the same group that wants child dismemberment in the womb. The blood is on your hands for not wanting to protect the innocence.
I live in TN and I don't mind the law. I saw a huge black teenager nearly killing his teacher because she confiscated his phone. I hear stories that teachers get disrespected and almost more likely to get killed than a police officer
Oh, so the gun is to protect teachers from students in the classroom. We get a student getting shot by a teacher in the classroom! Imagine trusting your kids into the hands of teachers who have the authority to shoot them if teachers feel threatened. Wow! That will certainly put every Tennessee parent at ease.

What happens when a student mentally challenge (1)couldn’t get a weapon and (2)bring it into his classroom without being caught… but now there IS a weapon already in that classroom for him to acquire! This is NOT the way to deal with mentally challenged students!

I live in the Nashville area. We just had an elementary school teacher arrested for stalking, so having a teacher as a mass shooter is NOT out of the realm of possibility.
If a teacher is going to turn into a mass shooter, do you really think they are going to care if they can legally carry or not. Not to mention this bill requires training and background checks.

An active shooter teacher has nothing to do with this situation. An active shooter teacher would do what they want to do regardless if it's allowed by law/policy. This is for teachers that aren't crazy, that would like a fighting chance to defend their and their students lives if an active shooter were to ever enter their classroom.
When a teacher is forced to use it NBC will be right there to start a riot.
So let's take the books out of schools and put guns in instead Republican logic is out of The Twilight zone

Teachers are under a lot of stress ?? Probably a better idea is to have armed guards at the school doors, even just locking the school doors during class hours , it will save a lot of lives.
Clear back packs, implement dress code , so no body can hide weapons in their clothing.
Implement programs to identify and help families going through difficult times, counseling, financial support programs, housing, job training
Now you will have Wild West in Tennesee schools when teachers and students will have gun fights at noon.
