My husband and children don't help me much so I have one room I retreat to that is my own so I can have peace and relax without clutter. Until I'm in a later season I have to accept this is how things will be. I will never change my husband or my children.

Thank you Elin for such a great video. It really resonated with me. I had to laugh when you said the cortisol from clutter gives you stress cos it's so me! I keep wanting to "get rid of the clutter" but not succeeding and that stresses me, can't deny that.
But on the other hand I do agree when you said "It's hard to take control of clutter if we accept it as it is".
So now my question is how do I strike a balance of wanting to get rid of clutter and yet not be stressed out about it.
When my brother past away last August I lost all motivation and fell in to depression. I used to be ocd about everything but I now live in messy home. Great video finally someone speaking out about this😅

Your home is beautiful
I had to really use
my imagination to picture this house being cluttered. It was so close to perfect I found it intimidating.
I realize this is my issue.
I realize Elin has worked very hard to accomplish a decluttered home.
P.S. just passing through.
Hopefully your videos will help people understand the psychological side of too many things...a/k/a clutter. I for one, cannot live with clutter.
