I don't see how 10 year old tiny Fran is strong enough to do that even if she caught both parents by surprise.
I know it's been a month since you've posted this comment but I'd like to add on. The news clip did in fact say "perfectly sliced" and the I guess "visions" remour showed of Fran killing her parents showed her repeatedly stabbing them. And there's no way she could've killed them both so easily. She would have needed to attack both at the same time or else the other parent would become aware of what she was doing and try to restrain her, fight her, or run away.

Maybe Aunt Grace was the evil twin. I think Oswald did experiments with them when children (like with Mia and Clara) and Fran's mom got tired of it and left.

If you can someday, re-play the game (doesn't have to be in streaming haha), knowing that (SPOILER) Oswald and Grace were experimenting with abandoned kids in the asylum, and that Ithersta, Itwart, Palontras, Mabuka, etc. never existed, it was all the Duotine effects. Fran actually killed her parents, but Grace was guilty for that. Imagination and reality blend together as we progress. The game was a horror game until the end, with a sad ending, Fran dies and her last thought is an attempt to reach the happiness she couldn't have. And yes, the dead cat we find in the coffin is Mr. Midnight. Everything makes sense when you play it a second time. Personally I just love this game haha. If you need advice for some achievements, some players gave it on steam, I just tap the number of the episodes with all achievements in Google and I found easily all the step to follow (it unlock something, but I let you discover first before to try that 😅 I missed one achievements somewhere so I have to restart ALL the episode 2(since it's where I forgot one thing TvT) Also It's just an advice and it takes so much time. So I suggest you to try that once you saw the gameplay :) (I hope I'm not bothering with that comment)

I never felt like crying about Mr Midnight's supposed death...Until I realized that you were. Then my heart hurt XD Fran did kill her parents, manipulated and possessed by Remor. Her tears of blood showed (as we see in dr Deern) that she was under the control of the darkness. The possession made her strong enough to do so.

Now I've watched your Fran Bow let's play, I didn't know about the game before, and it was really super nice to watch you solve the riddles, voice the characters and beat the game!! This is my theory about the finale: each reality is a state of consciousness, meaning everything was happening within Fran’s mind. In the third reality, that is the real world, what I think happened is that Fran Bow escaped the asylum, and ended up finding the well where all the failed experiments where thrown, and fell down, ended up unconscious, that’s why the title of the chapter “vegetative state”, ithersa being the world when you’re in a deep state, coma. Once she woke up, tried to go back home in itward’s ship that was really the bicycle we saw when they crashed, she actually crashed the bicycle. She then met Dr Deern and went to the cementery where they were caught, and Fran was back in the asylum by aunt Grace. In this part she started being more present in the forth and fifth realities that are the dark ones, where the suffering resides, for me it would be where the traumatic memories are kept from our mind (ptsd flashbacks) until Fran Bow was finally able to remember everything, that she was manipulated to be part of her parents murder, she is in denial and attacked aunt Grace, showing us Fran Bow really has a very violent behavior after all that can be triggered somehow. Oswald ended up killing her, but he made sure to not let her brain die, having it in a perpetual state of unconsciousness, leading Fran Bow to Ithersa again, the state of mind between dark and light, where you’re not really dead but also not alive (as Palontras said) So the end for me is Fran’s remaining in coma in de asylum as her consciousness believe she is happy in Ithersa 😅 not a so happy ending, but that was my thoughts. I love this game so much!

As I believe that game is within the same world as Fran Bow. Also, for something in a similar style, Sally Face could also be fun to check out and play.

it cant be fran who killed them cuz news said perfectly sliced by suprise a 10 year old couldn't slice with much force to slice perfectly and lets say she was the one killed if it was fran with a knife she would have needed to kill them one by one and if that was the case the other parent would notice and since they are an adult they would be able to stop her if remour did it since he is a monster he can just slice them both at the same time and by what we see fran stabbed them also but the news said only sliced and nothing about stabbing so i think remour was only playing tricks to mess with her mind and make her feel guilty
It is almost obvious for me that the Fran Bow actually killed her parents and then got killed by the gun. Maybe she did kill Doctor as well when she gave him a duotine overdoze. The happy endind is a final scene her mind had created for her while dying, that's why they are such in a hurry to leave, that's why she saw two characters she always mentioned she did not say goodbye to and who she mentioned she missed a lot. Thats why Mr. Midnight was brought back to life, because she did not want to believe in his death. "Between guilt and fear I choose happiness"- most likely means she decided to not accept her fault while dying to go away peacefully. To choose her own happiness and magical world over a nasty an hard truth a young mind cant handle.

In this part she started being more present in the forth and fifth realities that are the dark ones, where the suffering resides, for me it would be where the traumatic memories are kept from our mind (ptsd flashbacks) until Fran Bow was finally able to remember everything, that she was manipulated to be part of her parents murder, she is in denial and attacked aunt Grace, showing us Fran Bow really has a very violent behavior after all that can be triggered somehow. Oswald ended up killing her, but he made sure to not let her brain die, having it in a perpetual state of unconsciousness, leading Fran Bow to Ithersa again, the state of mind between dark and light, where you’re not really dead but also not alive (as Palontras said)
So the end for me is Fran’s remaining in coma in de asylum as her consciousness believe she is happy in Ithersa 😅 not a so happy ending, but that was my thoughts. I love this game so much!

What a journey that was... Honestly, this was such a delightful lil series with such disturbing twists and turns. I will say, I hope you end up playing Little Misfortune. As I believe that game is within the same world as Fran Bow. Also, for something in a similar style, Sally Face could also be fun to check out and play.

it cant be fran who killed them cuz news said perfectly sliced by suprise a 10 year old couldn't slice with much force to slice perfectly and lets say she was the one killed if it was fran with a knife she would have needed to kill them one by one and if that was the case the other parent would notice and since they are an adult they would be able to stop her if remour did it since he is a monster he can just slice them both at the same time and by what we see fran stabbed them also but the news said only sliced and nothing about stabbing so i think remour was only playing tricks to mess with her mind and make her feel guilty
It is almost obvious for me that the Fran Bow actually killed her parents and then got killed by the gun. Maybe she did kill Doctor as well when she gave him a duotine overdoze. The happy endind is a final scene her mind had created for her while dying, that's why they are such in a hurry to leave, that's why she saw two characters she always mentioned she did not say goodbye to and who she mentioned she missed a lot. Thats why Mr. Midnight was brought back to life, because she did not want to believe in his death.
"Between guilt and fear I choose happiness"- most likely means she decided to not accept her fault while dying to go away peacefully. To choose her own happiness and magical world over a nasty an hard truth a young mind cant handle.
That's a great way to explain everything and it makes a ton of sense too! I'm just happy that she's happy in the end 🥲
