    Hicks' range of motion is incredible on the bench, his arms barely make it to "parallel". Makes him a dangerous powerlifter because most people with bench ROM's like that can't deadlift well. But hicks can easy pull 400 kg+.

    I am asking everyone I can. I have always been told that to be a good presser I should learn to be an equally good puller, i.e. bent rows should equal or surpass my bench. Or. does everyone at the pro level pretty much ignore this? Good video btw.

    How much does the belt actually help? I’m just curious because I’ve never actually benched with a belt, and I see a lot of people use it. Is it just using it correctly to create internal pressure? I always enjoy seeing strongmen push huge numbers on everything.

    • @markuspalmqvist3692
      @markuspalmqvist3692 5 лет назад +1

      Everything you can do for beeing steady and comfortable is good, but you will not lift more with a belt if you didn't train with a belt. Someone who lift with a belt and took it of they may lose weight but I have never seen someone gain weight just putting on a belt.

    Jesus how long was he benching again? Since he's a strongman i guess the bench was not a big part of his workout routine? Might be another case where training heavy overhead carrys over well on the flat bench

    I think that most elite strongmen could dominate powerlifting. but who cares? Strongman has the crowd, the money and the prestige. powerlifting is boring as hell.

  • @hannibal89
    @hannibal89 5 лет назад

    Graham is very strong without a doubt,but he needs to just watch how much weight he's carrying.in recent years ( not including Eddie hall) the elite strong men have been coming in slightly leaner than days of old.even Brian Shaw is trying to eat cleaner but consume decent calories not rubbish.not doing Graham down as I think big things could be coming his way.💪🏻 Just don't think the "power belly" is necessary these days.
