    I like how both you and Thor are having fun with the fact that you're looking to top his 501. Healthy competition and respectful friendship.

    I think you've got the perfect mindset. You're far enough ahead that you can just ensure plenty of recovery, pull back when needed, lowest risk of injury. Look forward to seeing 505

    You're looking ridiculously strong, mate! Keen to see where it takes you, later in the year!
    Side note: I won my 1st comp yesterday! 3 event wins out of 5. I turn 44 in August.

    A strong squat creates a strong deadlift . But a strong dead doesnt create a strong squat .... i readed that Statement somewhere,can you agree it ?

    • @Bigramt

      For me it's true
      I am hoping to squat a national record for my weight category In the masters division sometime in the next 12 months. I have been focusing much more on squat and deadlifting for speed with submax loads
      Deadlifted heavy the other day and surprised how easy and fast it moved

      @mattystewart8 26 дней назад +6

      They both help each other dude. Especially if you do the correct accessory work. My squat was at 210kg and i stopped squatting in fsvour of building my deadlift for a couple months. Came back to test my one rep max on squat and it had gone up by 10kg and i hadnt even squatted in a couple months

      Depends on. Someone doing 400 kg deadlift mever did squat will possible do 300 kg but more squat helps also to be steong at deadlift

      @@mattystewart8 do you actually programme that? Get a little bit of some kind of leg volume on a deadlift I suppose. I can’t think of a programme focussed on squats that would include a deadlift

    You look much better Graham. Good to be healthy as possible. You should breath. Blood pressure through the roof, look into it.
    Lots of time. Don't burn out your CNS. Sounds like you are fresh. You know.

    Graham, you mentioned in another video why you use the block across the leg press, but i cant remember the video it was in now 🤦🏻‍♂️ could you comment on why you do it please? I am interested

      I like to pause the leg press so it's a dead stop but the pins on my leg press won't go Hugh enough so I use a block

    What are the benefits of squatting with a safety bar as opposed to a normal squat bar?

  • @agnidas5816
    @agnidas5816 27 дней назад

    17:05 yep. Longer rest periods at elite levels help achieve a higher WILKS number and break all time strength records. Doesn't help with body building though
