    You can see the older sibling learning from the mother on how to handle cubs. This is essential for lions. There are many instances of captive females not knowing how to pick up cubs because they never had teachers.

    I remember the first time I saw a lion that wasn't sleeping in an zoo that had an open enclosure that let them see the visitors and vice versa in the open air with little between them. That was when I knew that everything I had been led to believe about their supposed ferocity was BS. It was a lion just exuding gentleness and affection, looking back at me with a "I wish you could come in and pet me" look, the eyes mostly closed look-at-me-I'm-so-cute look cats have.

    With stable food supply and a set territory for a pride male, let's say 2 acres for a small pride, everyone of them would live as happy as they can be. Lions need territory only because they need to guarantee their food sources, but when the food sources are guaranteed, they no longer need a big territory as in the wild. We human should transform the wild with harsh living condition into many small confined and well designed territories for different animals with the supply of food and medicare. We human have been working on to improve our living conditions since the ancient times, and that is exactly what animals desperately need. They need human's help.

    Can someone try to explain to me whether the lions are happier being in a zoo environment then being in the wild? I don't mean what's better for them simply if they're happier. They do not need to worry about other predators, they're never left without a meal, and have a ton of other benefits that would be too long to list. I imagine those factors would cause these animals to want to be in this environment over their homes in nature. I always see people saying it's cruel to keep animals in zoos but would these animals agree?

      Most cubs die in the wild-I think, if the zoo is responsible, they are happier. People are nuts, they don't know everything, opinions are like armpits-everyone has a couple.

    • @zainulzainul1880
      @zainulzainul1880 6 лет назад +1

      andrew burke What sort of a fucking stupid question is that? Their origins are the wild. So when you take them away from there, you are denying them their natural lives, you fucking bloody fool.

    • @CatTalesCrafts
      @CatTalesCrafts 6 лет назад +7

      Unfortunately, a gilded cage is still.. just a cage. The wild is very harsh but lions belong in the wild living their lives on their terms. They are not here for our entertainment. Humans have taken away most of their natural habitat for them to live in. Once you see lions living in the wild, you will never want to see another lion in a cage or a zoo, believe me.

    • @kathyc3659
      @kathyc3659 6 лет назад +4

      Zainul Zainul. Wow. Your ignorance astounds me. First off, most of these are bred in captivity. They rescue ones who are orphaned and hurt. Yes, in your oh so wonderful vocabulary, they should just die from not having a parent around to care for them because that is nature, but, humans that have life instilled in them, want to save those who are weak and uncared for. You can't put an animal that doesn't have anyone one to show them how to defend themselves, into the wild. Now you can go around and troll on youtube pages and call people every name in the book, but thank the all merciful God, that He put people unlike you in the world who will care for His creations.
