Lions need territory only because they need to guarantee their food sources, but when the food sources are guaranteed, they no longer need a big territory as in the wild. We human should transform the wild with harsh living condition into many small confined and well designed territories for different animals with the supply of food and medicare. We human have been working on to improve our living conditions since the ancient times, and that is exactly what animals desperately need. They need human's help.

Can someone try to explain to me whether the lions are happier being in a zoo environment then being in the wild? I don't mean what's better for them simply if they're happier. They do not need to worry about other predators, they're never left without a meal, and have a ton of other benefits that would be too long to list. I imagine those factors would cause these animals to want to be in this environment over their homes in nature. I always see people saying it's cruel to keep animals in zoos but would these animals agree?

Yeah but this one is tame compared to what I've seen in a similar scenario in an Africa wild video. The much older cousins were so rough they killed one of the 7 or 8 week old cubs while the mother wasn't around as she was probably out hunting.
