Good video. Thanks for coming by
Thanks for having me!
@6:13 Everybody's tractor is, Brock..... 🤣🤣 Great machine, great video. Tractor Hard! 🚜💪!
Be quiet. 😂🤣
😂
Great video as always, I bought a Cub with a steering wheel and 60 inch deck several months ago and I absolutely love it. I also have a BX23S with the 60 inch deck, I have lots of hill banks on my 5 + acres of mowing and there is no comparison, the Cub out preforms and I also cut my mowing time by 50 minutes.
Yeah, this test really opened my eyes!
Yup, you have a great mower. We've owned our Z Force S Commercial for 12 years & it's by far the best mower we've ever owned. One thing I've never done is throw fresh mowed grass out onto a traveled roadway & it ticks me off every time I see someone else do it. You've got a great mower that handles the heavy stuff like a champ. Throw the first two passes into the road ditch or back onto your lawn.
We cleaned it up when we were done….without a single car going by. It’s all good.
@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead That's great, but the correct way is not to throw it on the road in the first place.
Thanks, Jon.
Looks like a hell of a mower. Glad you took the time to do a meetup with rockhill!
We had a great time!
cool video. You both guys are super informative:)
Good video. I've felt like one of those crazy corner preachers screaming at people about how great these are for years! Here in Northern KY we have crazy hillsides in most peoples yards. Even the little residential models are much better for hillsides than most standard lawn tractors or zero turns. We sell the fire out of them! I have a PRO Z 560S at home that does killer hills.
Right on! The Pro Z 560 is probably what I need!
Great Job Mr Lucas. This video is rocking along nicely
Thanks, Mike. That is a sweet machine!
And the best transmissions you can buy! I have the Pro z 560 I call it the Billy Goat
Two of the best on RUclips together! 👍💪
Thanks for the kind words. We had a blast!
Nice mower! I have a BX2670 with 60” drive over deck, but I mow with an EXmark zero turn. It is great, but not so much on a side hill.
Good morning Lucas and Brock!
Morning!
I drive a pro z 972 with dual rear wheels for at least 7 hours a day. I can honestly say it's the best mower I've ever used. The issues we have with ours is front wheel bearings, throttle cable breaks and some components being cast aluminum. Ours are older so if they've fixed these issues then I'd say that I would recommend this mower for sure. I've taken ours places that I didn't feel comfortable taking our ventrac. It's truly a great design! Great video, and get that grass out of the road!
Don’t worry, we did.
That’s a scary ass slope. Hahahahaha
Now add tracks, a cab, heating, cooling, and attachments, and it's perfect
Mr Lucas. This mower looks like a great versatile machine
I was truly impressed by it. 👊
I've liked the looks and idea of these Cub Cadets for a long time. I have no need for one my 1978 John Deere 316K does good on my yard right now. But when I get a new bigger yard and new house I'd love one of these.
Yeah, I can’t really justify the expense, but they sure are nice!
As I stated on Brocks channel I don't see this machine holding up well in Central Florida's sandy soil. The gears ect under the foot deck is to open for the sand to get in and eat up the moving parts other than that it probably will hold up for the people that have great grass.
I have the z-100 60” cut and I love it.
Good, Thx
I live in central Arkansas, and my family's yard is a bowl. Part of it, we can't touch until late July or August because of the fact it holds water almost that entire time. We have a small Kubota zero turn, a Kubota B7500, and a Kubota L3200. We have both a belly mower and rear mower for the B7500, but we have the belly mower off of it currently. We had to put a piece of railroad track on the front to provide counterweight for the rear mower, but that's no biggie. We have a bush hog on the L3200, and a front loader with just a bucket attachment. We have a tiller for the L3200, but we haven't used it in a while. We NEED the Cub Cadet with the steering wheel for our pond bank, as well as the rest of the yard. It'll be a game changer.
Yeah, this machine really opened my eyes. I really want one.
Great mower stop blowing grass on highway , from a motorcycle rider.
Go the speed limit and keep your eyes way down the road like I look for deer, not an issue
I drove this exact mower at brocks it is a beast and when you turn sharp it doesn't spin out and tare up the grass.
It really is impressive!
I have always been curious about those mowers. Do they go as fast as comparable zero turn with the same size deck? I have a 60" Exmark and to me that ditch doesn't look like a big deal on camera but maybe it's worse in person. I have a big "mound system/septic system" and have no problem mowing it. It's about 5 feet tall and pretty steep and have never had an issue mowing it so I was just curious. Also, I was stationed at Ft. Riley, Kansas for over 2 years and loved Kansas. Cool video!
Still 2 wheel drive, and still gets stuck on slippery grass.
They put Fluid in tractor tires for slopes.
I have the residential model and I absolutely love it. Nothing you say is false.
Thanks for the review. I have been thinking about one of these. My BX beats me to death and I have to go so slow in parts of my yard so that I don't lose a kidney 😀
The air ride seat on this model is sweet! I was most impressed with the way it handled that crazy thick grass!
@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead good to know!
Very cool 😎
Sure is! 👊
Another reason they built one with steering wheel is because it's hard to drink drink beer and mow at the same time with two handles 🤣
By the way my yard is about 9 1/2 acres here in East Texas and my slopes generally have about a 12 foot drop off behind the lake and airstrip, I've been using bad boy outlaw XP 36 hp with 72" cuts for years and I've mowed on slopes where you're literally coming out of the seat and I've never had it do anything but mow straight ahead.
Maybe you just think it’s straight because you have a beer in your hand…🤣😂
Nah seriously, thanks for sharing. I will be testing some other ZTs now that I see how capable they can be.
I have that exact mower the best
Try a walker mower thats a awsome machine too .
I would never do a steering wheel mower over an acre, huge shoulder issue, and rear discharge. I’m on 10 acres, I’ve got a hustler 72” rear discharge, best machine ever, bare bones, a beast, 3 hr job is like laying on a beach
I had never had a zero turn mower. I bought a Husqvarna Z254. It is a residential mower. That was my first mistake. It took me half a day to cut my grass. I then invested in a Kubota Z781i. Now it takes a couple of hours to cut my grass. I probably cut around 15 acres of grass. My Kubota can cut steep banks with ease. Also it is fast. It will cut at 11 mph. It does have a 60 inch deck. Not saying anything bad about the Cub Cadet but also wanting to highlight mine.
So I certainly have very little experience on ZT mowers. I’m sure there are lots of good ones. This was an eye opening test for me. I had no idea they were this good.
Yeah, a Z254 for 15 acres was a mistake. I sure hope no salesman recommended that to you.
dont throw your grass on the road!!!!!
Cool stuff but if hills & slopes are the issue go Ventrac
thats a game changer
It really is. Now the trick is to afford one. 🤔
@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead lol
I was watching the mower information, but can expand on that wind mill, is it doing any work other than just spinning?
Yes it runs aerators for the pond.
So I have to ask.. Lucas, did you manage to load it into your truck and drive off with it before he caught you?? That is a great example of mowing on a slope. I get the willies when I use my Cub Cadet here. It has a steering wheel also but does not look like this one. Take care and stay safe.
Unfortunately I was in my wife’s car and it wouldn’t fit in the trunk. 😂🤣
I'll stick with my Kubota Tractor with Belly Mower.
Now you need to find an actual slope to see what it can handle
Morning
Morning!
I mow Steeper hills then that on my tractor without problems .
I have a country clipper with joystick I have no problem on hills when I first started using it I hated the machine till I got used to the joystick no I don't want to give it up
Try a Altoz track mower
Ooo, I’d love to.
Looks like a great mower, one quick hint, don't blow grass into the road, its very dangerous for bikes and cars and illegal in many states now. Looks like it handles very well.
We cleaned it up. I meant to film and include it because people lose their minds making assumptions, but I forgot to hit record. 😂
@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead , good, if you have dumped a bike hitting that on a slight curve as I have, it stays in the memory bank.
No doubt.
@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead It’s not just grass debris, stones thrown at motorcyclist, bicycles, pedestrians, cars, etc.IMHO
Go back and blow the grass off the road. Use the mower. It’s that simple . Only takes seconds.
That is a big zero turn. It dwarfs my John Deere.
It is a big machine. It feels substantial operating it.
That isn't much of a slope
Only in America strikes again!
Too bad other makers can't do this!
You didn't have to travel 12 hours,Gilium's 45 minutes away would let you test drive.
I need to go talk to them. They have lots of nice equipment I would like to try out.
In reality I was on a family vacation to Missouri to attend a Church revival so I just drove a little further to Kansas to see my buddy Brock. 😊👊
That is a lot of machine just to cut grass. Commercial use maybe
It is definitely a commercial mower. There are lots of farm and lot property owners running mowers in this price range though…
I hope you took the time to blow the grass off the road… that’s a death trap for a motorcyclist.
Yip, sure did.
I can see an issue in turns, but not in a straight line?
Please don't blow your grass into the road.
Non-issue. We had it cleaned up before any traffic came through.
@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomesteadhow did you know no traffic was coming?
As a motorcyclist my greatest concern is not the idiot backing out of a driveway but the idiot who threw grass on the street. If front tire skids then I am going down.
I knew no traffic was coming because my friend was standing in the road filming and you can see forever in both directions. 🙄
Dude, I totally get the concern. This situation wasn’t one. Thanks for the comments though. 👍
Wawawa😢
@@blauer2551you’re obviously not a biker……keep it that way
That's a no no. Don't blow grass on the road.
