Hi Kay! Amazing build as always! Your work has always been a huge inspiration for me when it comes to PoE1 builds, and you're the reason I fell in love with playing Necromancer. I’m really happy to see you back in PoE2, and I hope you keep creating awesome content. I’ve been following a lot of your recommendations since the start, and I’m currently working on a build with Frost Mages. It’s going really well, and I’m managing to clear Tier 15 maps relatively easily. Thank you so much for being such an inspiration to those of us who love playing with minions. Get well soon! I hope you recover quickly.
That's true, but it's a very small extra damage. For me it's about 3% more damage. So I decided to take it off. You can test it in POB by adding "Minions deal 64 to 91 added fire damage" in the custom modifiers.
Using your previous build to much success, but very exited to make these changes! I am going to wait until this 0.1.1 patch drops (this weekend let's hope) even though there isn't any minion love expected. Thanks once again, Kay... feel better!!! 🤗
@@KayGaming Sounds like minions are still going to get stuck and/or fall behind, but at least they respawn instantly. I wasn't expecting anything though so I'll take it! lol
I have a whole other take on the necromancer build, and i love that. Now i can mix the best of both. Among other things im using CI (combined with Zealot's Oath & Eternal Youth) and the Shamans's body thats armor and ES based with additional spirit implicit. Lvled to 94 yesterday and didnt die once on that level. Some bosses where a close call and i do not count death to the arbiter, no death to random mobs even though im usually the vanguard. The flat 20% phys damage reduction from altered flesh ascendancy (because of CI) is great combined with the armour that gives around 50%+ phys damage reduction, this combined with heatproofing anointed on my amulet to handle Infernal Flame (this allowes me to spam command skills but also gives my minions more damage trough Seething Body). Then there is also the flat reduction trough doggo. Im using an corrupted sandstorm visage with +1 to minion skills I use an timelost Sapphire (small radius) to catch the following notables: Regenerative Flesh, Grip of Evil Entropic, Incarnation, Illuminated Crown, Hallowed. This gives me among other things 50% minion crit chance and 60 crit dam bonus. I use an timelost Ruby (small radius) to catch 3 notables and 9 small passive skills near Zealot's Oath. This jewel (with increased effect of small passives) alone gives me flat 5% block, capping my block to 75%. The corrupted shield (Merit of Service) im using has an base block chance of 42%. My minions have 75% block chance as well. This jewel also gives my minions 2% flat physical damage reduction per alocated small passive (18% in total). My frost mages can tank. Im loving the defenses on my build, without Oaksowrn i have ~400+ spirit. For more dps i manually cast hypothermia on my second weapon set while dropping blashphemy and swapping my shield Merit of Service for the Oaksowrn shield to get additional minions. Im currently using frost mages and now im going to give this setup a try as well. Not being able to use Beidat's Will is an sacrifice, but on the other hand i still give my minions more dps trough Seething Body and i do get the loyal hell puppy although im planning to swap him out for Bringer of Flame ascendancy You gotta love the fact thats its so easy to change things around.
Sounds like a good build. I'm thinking of using CI but it reduces my ES a lot. I know some people use Gemling + Ghostwrite + CI to get a huge ES pool though. Maybe I'll try it soon. I've actually updated my build again and will showcase it soon!
Oh shit, the build actually looks very good and comfy to play! I might have to give minions another chance in PoE2! (I tried the build everyone was playing early on, but didn't like it much for some reason, despite the fact I like minions in PoE1)
SRS + Arsonists was the popular build at the beginning. It's good, but lots of visual clutter and drops FPS. It's actually a lot slower too! (I tested it again recently and felt bad).
This EA is my first time playing POE, tried POE1 but couldn't get into it a couple years ago. But I'm loving POE2. Currently doing an off-meta hybrid Melee Titan-Minion build. Only up to act 1 cruel atm, but been having fun progressing the build. Moving at a fairly decent pace. I don't necessarily want my minions to be able to clear maps for super quick, but I want them to be able to contribute meaningful damage, while my mace skills make up the rest. Just found your channel, and will be subscribing. I love minion builds, and your videos are extremely informative. For my next character I want to do some kinda Monk summoner build, probably themed to poison. I wanted to go Monk of Chayula cause I like the look, but apparently it switches spirit to darkness, so wouldn't be able to use minions 🙄
Have you looked at Chober Chaber? It sounds like your build is built around it. Not sure how you'll go with the stats but there's some gloves that allow you to meet the requirements of all melee weapons and skills with just strength. As for the monk idea, I would google if anyone else has tried it. The monk is kinda built around spirit skills so I'm sure someone has worked it out.
Sorry for my late reply. I like Scattershot + Pierce if I have a small number of Snipers (about 10-14). If I have lots of snipers (20+), I use Fork. My current build I have 24 snipers.
