When the woman walked in, they were playing the Stone’s Midnight Rambler, which has only 3 chords. Andy could easily have continued on his acoustic, while the chick wailed on her electric solo.
@@chasbodaniels1744 nah it was too much. you dont want the instruments to be competing. Andy clearly knew those guys played together before no need to interfere. It's like having too many chefs in the kitchen
As a fellow drummer, I gotta commend my guy Kevin for keeping it simple at 0:03 and locking in with Darryl's piano. Obviously it's not the best swing in the world but it let the music breathe for Andy's vocals to shine right through! Since the ride cymbal is one of the main timekeepers for jazz and blues, Kevin got the job done here.
Don't you just love it when the whole screen fills up with uncloseable boxes at the end, blocking out so much of the picture, including the drummer himself, which is the whole point of the scene in the first place?!
The family and I are watching the office series for the first time, now on Season 8. As a metalhead and fan of drumming in general, I was so, so, so happy to see Steve Moore appear in this episode. What a genius piece of writing and casting.
Chasbo Daniels No it completely threw everything off. It sounded really and the moment she started playing, you could hardly hear some of the other instruments on top of it.
JD I know I'm going to get hate for this but I personally watched through all of the office just to get to Robert California. Favorite character on the show besides Dwight and Pam.
Kevin is the better actor even if his drum skill is lacking. To those thinking you can't be better than your rival/buddy/etc, remember that you are unique. There are things that you good at and things ur not good at that u can always improve. What they seem to show talent in that area, they may be lacking in other
He's just lifting the sticks too high. 2nd guy is better because he's been playing longer and of course, is lazy af, just like any other player. They don't move anything any more than they ABSOLUTELY have to. 2nd guy is NOT a legend if other drummers don't know (or care what is name is), btw.
He was such an important character. To the story and the show. His personality was unique and a lot of other reasons why he was many peoples favourite character
That's NOT the definition of a legend if you don't know his name. And "flash" is not >chops. Or pocket. I know 1,800 drummers that are way better than this. This is known "flailing." Showing off. Look up Kenny Aronoff, Jack and Diane at drum clinic. THAT is a legend.
I think its funny that even after they lost their instruments Kevin and Daryll were able to take it in stride and keep in the jam with the backups, Andy was just a total third wheel xD
'Maybe we should warm up with some scales??' Gotta love Kevin.
He's my favourite character
surrealIdeal that’s actually very true too
That's really a weird thing to say coming from the batterist
Don’t know what scale he’s gonna play on that😂
@Syphix Games 😂😂😂😂
I love how they got the drummer from the video "This drummer is at the wrong gig" on the show.
I knew he looked familiar
That's signature skill immediately make me realize that it is him tho
He is from Buckhannon WV - great drummer, and my sister's best friend since 1987
Steve moore is his name
Steve Moore should try less.
I love when ed helms has no instruments so he starts awkwardly using his body to make noises ahaha
the funny part is that there was no reason to stop playing guitar
CALEB PEREZ he didn't know the chords to the song they were doing

retards at youtube still doing their thing with those overlays
It's f'ing ridiculous.
Has it really been at least 2 years ago since they added the end screen card functionality? Bleh
OMG WAS JUST SAYING THIS
Uggggghhhhh! Yes!!!
Guy at end is from video "this drummer is at the wrong gig" and an absolute legend!!!!!
wow
I thought so! Had to check the comments to make sure, though.
Steve Moore haha!
No....(*cough*) a legend is:
Steve Smith
Bernard Purdie
Jeff Porcaro
Neil Peart
Stewart Copeland
Danny Seraphine...
on
and
on
and on...
(*sigh*) This is what is known as 'hyperbole' which, as a figure of speech, is not intended to be taken literally.
3:26 I'd recognize that helicopter movement anywhere, looks like he finally made it to the right gig.
Creed should've been in this bit
Edit:
Well this blew up
Hey yeah! Why wasn’t he?
He would have messed up his cover.
Creed fucking sucks.

Marko Pestaj ha
That killed me for some reason
Guy on the left: having a seizure 3:25
Kevin on the right: trying to get a seizure too 3:27
😂😂😂
The "guy" on the left is no random actor, he's Steve Moore known as the mad drummer also known from the video "this drummer is at the wrong gig"

That basically sums up why I loved him
Since when are comedy characters supposed to be likeable all the time? They're supposed to be funny, and I thought Robert California was hilarious.
April Jones if you hate their character you will hate their jokes too

Seeing the drummer go full god mode on Kevin just make me wanna die of laughter, and Kevin trying his best completes it. 😂😂
2:18 Andy’s guitar vanishes!
Probably a animation error
2:31 its behind her.. you can see it under her legs
He’s no longer a musician, no no hes a magician
Darryl with the tambourine and Kevin with the gurio worked really well with the song.
Even when Robert's friends took over, Darryl was owning that tambourine

That guitar solo completely ruined the charm of Midnight Rambler

The things I love about the office is sometimes they just confidently throw a good joke
At 2:20, the look on Andy's face is just amazing!
"Tambourines are for girlfriends"
Quite the Yoko ono reference 🤣
Or Stevie Nicks
The first 30 seconds of this scene was really promising. Then Robert California showed up.
If you’ve ever seen the video “this drummer is at the wrong gig,” this is the drummer from that video (Steve Moore).
Robert California is just Jim Morrison after he faked his own death. I’ll never not believe that about this character.
No he isn't he's ultron in human form
“You guys... THEY’RE Kevin and the Zits now.”
-Kevin Malone
“Nah man... we are!”
- Darryl Philbin
Andy: has an ACOUSTIC guitar, unplugs it, and then starts doing whatever that was, instead of just keep playing it xD
Problem is that the mix level was too high for an acoustic to be heard
Did you know that Lisa toured with Chaka Khan?
Are you serious?! From Star Trek?!
KAHN! KAHN! KAHN!
I love when they show Kevin not being overly stupid cause sometimes they make him look so dumb it’s almost sad😅
A band named after the drummer is always a great idea
Fun fact: that woman guitarist is Linda Taylor. She's probably best known as being the guitarist on Whose Line is it Anyway.
Kevin is living proof that a grown up man, can be adorable as fuck! XD
And then u realize its a tv show
So fictional characters aren’t real all of a sudden?
How does nobody in the comment section y’all about how cool the moves of the drummer at 3:20 were
Kevin trying to do the tricks in the drums is so adorable
WHY did Andy think slapping his knees would be more audible than playing an acoustic guitar unplugged?
